Handy Ace Hardware

If you are looking for hardware or even help solving an issue, Handy Ace is the place to go. The employees were very helpful and directed me and assisted me in purchasing the items needed to raise a chair 2 inches. Everything I needed was in stock so I could complete the project the same day. The selection of specialty hardware was good, and the service was excellent.

This is a great family owned franchised hardware store. They have so many unique items that you won't find at the big box places, and they are able to make keys the big don't keep in stock. I enjoy going here and just walking the isles to see what they have. There is a high probability that you will in not really needing anything but walk out with something you found to purchase for the house, backyard, kids, or yourself. Prices won't always be the lowest on every item again they are not Wal-Mart, but if you price compare online they do have items that are lower priced than anyone around town. I highly recommend visiting them to check them out at least once. I think they used to be further down the street closer to Stone Mountain years ago but have moved to their current location or they have always been in this spot and the other location just closed. There is staff around and they will try and answer questions as best they can.

They have workers everywhere. They love to help and guide you to anything in their big store. One of my favorite stores because of the workers and all kinds of stuff I need. They even have small toddler shopping carts where my kid can help carry stuff I'm getting.

My all-time fav hardware store! Employees are super helpful and friendly. And they have just about anything you need to fix something. Love Handy Hardware!

George in plumbing is AWESOME! I am renovating an older house and was having trouble finding the right size for my tub spouts. He was patient, kind, explained things throughly. He made sure I had every single part I needed to complete the job. I had one more question the following day and went back. He remembered my name and asked me how the project was going. George makes this place truly feel like the neighborhood hardware store.

If the item is available here vs lowes or home depot ,always buy it at Handy Ace. This store in particular is an Ace flagship of a hardware store.
The main difference between this store and any big box store is the clerks that work here actually enjoy helping the customer finda and select the option for what that customer needs,nothing more nothing less period. If by chance they dont stock the item you need (once i needed a rare specific lightbulb for an electric hi-power microscope didnt have it.) After a 10 min search through dozens and dozens of bulb boxes we both knew they did not have it. Same time the owner gen mgr comes along,looks at our faces and says "what did we not have?" I explained the rarity of the item "No problem we will find it and get one for you sir", in shock i said "great thank you sir. Calls to his asst." "Ok take his name and number down.find his bulb and order two. Then call him and tell him when we will have it ok . ' I was in shock! The gen. mgr handled my situation its doubtful ive ever in my life received this kind of customer service in the 40 yrs ive been shopping . unheard of in2023! Later on and after 6pm when they close, the guy called and said the bulb would be in by sat. It was. I cant recommend a better hardware store anywhere even at the sstore in Decatur which is also a fine store. Id rather pay a little more on a few items then order china cheap and have my money support my community and the fine friendly people who staff the Tucker Handy Ace.A big thanks to the owner there a first class job sir... I look forward to my next visit ,for only a few places of business will i make that claim .

If they don't have it, you don't need it. They have almost everything in that store. For pure hardware and replacement parts for wheelbarrows and gardening equipment I guarantee you HD and Lowe's can't complete.

Wonderful customer service. The person who helped me in plumbing knew immediately the part I needed, and even went the extra mile to demonstrate how to change the part. This was my first time in this store, and from now on I will drive a bit farther to make this my go-to hardware store!

This has been my go to for years. When you need parts this place almost always delivers. I have these guys cut glass for me. But I have gone here looking for the most unique plumbing part for old faucets and they have it more importantly the staff knows how to help you. This place has so much to offer go take a look.

Who in their right mind would rate this place less than PERFECT? If you aren't the problem is YOU, not this establishment. Amazing huge old fashioned and totally modern HARDWARE STORE. Tucker should be proud they have the best hardware store in the Southeast right in their backyard. I've been to a lot of hardware stores from back in my days as a touring musician and this place is hands down the ultimate "where can I get that" place. Cheers!

Wow I’ve been in a lot of Ace hardwares and this is one of the best... defiantly the biggest both size and products. If you can’t find it here they don’t make it ! A lot of helpful people walking around making things easier . I highly recommend!

The staff was very helpful, I was able to locate what I was looking for. I always receive great service here and most of time I locate the things, I come in for at this Ace Hardware.

Excellent choice of home maintenance supplies. Nearly everything FIY'ers will need. Prices a wee bit high though on finished merchandise. Also, GREAT cooking gear!

Handy Ace Hdwe in Tucker has everything! The store is large and divided into sensible departments, each of which has someone to help you who actually does know all about the items he/she sells. This is just in case you have no clue what you need or how to use it. As a bonus, these experts are standing right there in their own areas; you don't have to hunt them down! Amazing, right?
The last time I was there I bought two plants from the Garden Dept, Italian parsley and spearmint, the latter of which I hadn't found anyplace else in town. (Mint Julep, anyone?)
Before that, I went in to buy a kit to fix a leaking toilet. They showed me what I needed, and it cost less than $10.
Finally, I'll say that I actually enjoy going in there because I see so many fascinating items (even though I don't know what some of them are). I know there'll always be a Handy person nearby to explain it all.😀

They had the old part I needed. Extensive inventory and very knowledgeable about what was needed and where to find it.

They have everything you need in regards to plumbing. Even the old rare stuff.

I visited the store on 08-03-2022 after contacting them by phone to ascertain if they stocked some hard to find plumbing parts. From the first phone contact to the purchase of the parts the staff here was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The store is very well stocked and I was greeted upon entry and directed to the plumbing section. The two associates there were a pleasure to deal with, remembered my phone call and pulled the parts I needed. My only regret is that I wish this store was closer to my home. Maybe I should move?😉
