A couple of days ago my son called 911 because I was feeling a rattle in my chest. From having 2 heart attacks and 13 strokes in the past 13 years, i couldn't take the chance that it was something minor. They got here quick as usual. Along with Chatham EMS checked me out and listening to me and telling them what I was feeling, I came to the decision, that I would stay home and weather the storm from being checked out it could be a bad cold or flu and I decided to stay home and weather the storm. They said before, that they will take me to the hospital if i want to get checked out.Come to find out later it was fluid on the lungs my diagnosis)as I took a water pill before my son called. I'm feeling better than I did then. I felt bad for them coming out here but they said " that's our job". It's nice to have back up.

On September 2nd I pulled into Station 1 because my husband was exhibiting signs of a heart attack. The entire crew were calm, fast and attentive.
My husband was suffering from a Widow Maker and the speed saved his life.
I cannot thank you all enough for being such an important part of saving his life! We are grateful to you all!

Pooler fire dept. came to me when I had extreme bleeding from my nose and could not stop the bleeding. (I was taking blood thinners for the past 15 years.) They immediately sent me to Memorial hospital. the second time was maybe three weeks later my nose bled for 6 hours and I had difficulty standing, fast heartbeat and could not breathe. If I sat all the symptoms would go away for a while, if I tried to walk the symptoms came back. Sent me to memorial again. My hemoglobin was a six. I was very anemic from the blood loss due to the nose bleeds (Blood thinners) Had to have red blood cell transfusions and taking iron therapy. Hospitalized for four days. Recuperating at home now. Thank you Pooler Firemen. THE BEST. I rate you a 10. My hero’s.

Last night I had a fall and dislocated my knee. Truck 61 was there quickly. The men from this truck were so kind and compassionate. They even comforted my young nieces who were traumatized to see their aunt hurt. Thank you for your service!

Mon, August 13, some family of mine just got into a hit in run accident. So one of your "FIREFIGHTERS" made a very rude comment to an emt saying "they only have a few scratches, they are probably doing this for money." Not sure the name of the man but it was very rude.

This review is for the Lady driving her “husbands” county vehicle with tag # EZC871, you were VERY RUDE first off. This lady parked in front of my business where there is clearly a marked sign stating that the one parking spot was for my business only, I proceeded to let her know that she could not park there and she immediately starting yelling saying her husband works for the city fire dept and she will park wherever she pleases and I wasn’t going to tell her what to do. I think it was very unprofessional of her to act the way she did. I not once raised my voice or acted out of character, she didn’t want to hear anything I had to say to her. Perhaps if you plan on being a rude person, drive your own vehicle and not something tax payers pay for….
