Food Lion

I rarely take the time to rate a business but my experience today was exceptional. I parked to see a young girl gathering shopping carts in extreme heat with a determined look and easily handling the tasks despite the heat. I gladly offered to bring in a clutch of 4 while she continued to gather other needed carts.She smiled at me in grueling heat and said are you sure? I said of course. I proceeded inside and all throughout the store were busy working employees but working together chatting as they worked laughing and actually enjoying their work. Extremely rare.I proceeded to the meat counter to purchase some Rib Eye Steaks. I didn’t see any but a young short, thin man was busy putting out meat in the case and I ask You got any Rib Eyes? He said yes, I was about to put some out. He brought out a carrying rack full of different sized steaks and politely asked what type do you like? I looked and said I like them thick and he asked well, if you want a special cut I would be happy to cut it for you. I never asked for that service, despite being obviously busy, he simply took the initiative to serve me- The Customer whom he had never seen before in his life. I specified my request and he said just give me 10 minutes sir. Within 5 minutes he presented me 4 beautifully cut steaks to my order with a smile and pride radiating from his face. I forced a little tip $ to him because he was adamant not to except it. I have a BBA degree from college and have been managing in the service business for 41 years. I say that only to indicate that I am a good judge of character and know motivated happy employees when I see them. This store has outstanding employees in every department and is clearly well managed.

Great selection of meats. Much better grade of beef and better price than I was getting from Piggly Wiggly. The cashiers actually smile and talk!

This is an amazing store to shop in. I am so very happy they now have restocked the Purina Senior cat food once again. My cat loves this food. I always find good bargains and the employees are so kind and helpful.

Made a quick purchase for baby milk.
First time here, everything was clean and no long lines.

I have a disability that makes it difficult for me to shop in store. So, I’ve been using the pick up option (via Instacart) for over a year, and I love it! Wynika usually fulfills my order, and she is the best. It’s clear that she puts thought and care into helping people. Also the shop rewards are amazinggg. I’ve saved hundreds of dollars this year alone!

I liked this food lion. They had plenty of fresh fruits available. The isles and overall facility appeared clean and had no issues finding everything that we needed. Checkout was very fast and easy.

You just need time to put your groc on counter before they start ringing. Things go by so fast and I see prices ring that make me feel I need to say. What rang up for that amt.? Have had to go to customer service 2 times in a month for incorrect prices. BUT, I enjoy the visits because of the staff. 95% of the cashiers should win customer service awards! Managers and produce manager are tremendously friendly and helpful. If you have to buy your groceries.... go to food lion Pooler!!!

This place has some of the best staff, I know the best store manager in all of Food Lions out there. She is one of the kindest, most hard-working women that I've ever seen in action, and she cares about this company I think more than anybody even realizes. She puts her heart and soul into this company, and I think Food Lion should give her an award.

Great, clean, and quick!! I prefer a smaller store to the monsters that Kroger has become. I JUST NEED SOME MILK AND A CAN OF CATFOOD!! Shouldn't take 1 hour to shop and checkout,,here it is quick and convenient!!

My family has been going to this Food Lion for many years. The place has since gone through a fantastic renovation and looks better than ever. The shelves are nice and stocked, the place is very clean, carts are always placed in their corrals, parking lot is clean, and the staff is always friendly.

Great grocery store for me fast and friendly service I do my grocery shopping day by day because of my job I'm in and out fast and they have everything I need keep up the good work 😊
