The young lady behind the pharmacy counter was God sent! I wish I knew her name, but I cannot remember! I came in the day before my birthday very flustered because, suddenly, I started having symptoms of a nasty cold. I shared a description of my symptoms with one of the staff members behind the counter. I didn't know what type of medicine to get, but I knew I didn't want anything that would make me drowsy, as I planned to celebrate my birthday that night. The young lady was very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and answered all of my questions (even the ones I asked more than once)! Honestly, she was much more helpful than if I were to get a quick appointment with a doctor at an urgent care facility! Who knew I'd developed the pollen allergy!? People, TALK TO YOUR PHARMACY PROFESSIONALS! Ask THEM questions! They have all the answers *Kanye voice* lol

The Hugh Howell Publix Pharmacy has the friendliest, most helpful staff. Danielle in particular is always going above and beyond to assist her customers and is so friendly and a joy to see each month. By my second visit while Danielle was working, she remembered my name. As someone who has worked in customer service for a very long time, that meant a lot to me. Thank you, Danielle, for always making my trip to the Publix Pharmacy a pleasant one!

Excellent prices, some free medications, superb knowledgeable staff, clean, convenient, and open on Sunday's. What more can you ask for from your local pharmacy!? And the wait time is not bad either especially if you phone in the prescription ahead of arrival. Which is my preferred way. I used to think Walmart Pharmacy had the lowest prices... I was totally wrong. Love this place and won't be going any place else no time soon. Try them! You will like them as much as I do. (this is not a paid advertisement either LOL! :-)

I was hesitant to review this because I had different expectations. I moved to Stone Mountain from Gary, IN and have been using this pharmacy for over a year, and my comparisons were for a different area and Walgreens. Back home it was typical to get prescriptions same day, heck you could leave the doctor's office and have it ready by the time you make it to the store. While I was thrown off having to wait a day it was understandable, however it has been consistently the case where I put in for a refill with 4 or 5 days of medication left, and have had to go several days without because it is not being filled. I use the Pharmacy app, and this last time I put on for 3 medications all on the same day at the same time. 2 of 3 filled the same day, the one I was low on and close to running out sat 6 days, I finally called to see when it would be ready and of course they say they don't have it in stock and it will be ready tomorrow. The thing is Everytime I call when a medication is taking longer than 3 days it's always it was going to be ready tomorrow. It's like they don't care about medications that are not in stock unless you call. It's terrible and consistently happens, I won't pretend to know how to run a pharmacy but something is broken here. Leaves me no choice but to use Amazon and pay a bit more for consistency. It's kind of soured me on the local pharmacy market in Stone Mountain/Tucker

This pharmacy's people are the worst with the exception of Nadine. I know it doesn't hurt y'all to lose a customer, but my mom & myself are going elsewhere. My mom & I are elderly & take narcotics for pain. Well you'd think we were drug addicts the way we were treated. Every month it was something different when trying to get our meds. Mostly, one could Never get the codes entered, so I was told.

Publix Pharmacy is fine, I guess, so long as you dont depend on urgent life-saving medicines.

I think Publix Pharnacy has the best RX prices, but God help you if you rely on them to do their job. (In all fairness, I dont know if it's all Publix pharmacies or just this one.)

Let's play a guessing game. How many times has this happened to me?

A) We lost your prescription. Please call your doctor to call it in again.

B) We mislabeled your medicine as "no refills." Oh, look our system says there are refills, so we can fill it. Sorry about that.

C) It'll be ready in an hour. [A day later] Oh no, we cant fill it until Monday. No, it's not our policy to call you to tell you that we're not going to fill it today.

D) We couldnt fill the prescription that you called in three days ago bc your insurance says it cant be filled until tomorrow. I'll double check if you like. Oh, our mistake! We'll fill it now. What's that? No, it's not our policy to call you to tell you that we're not going to fill it when you expect.

The correct answers are: 3, 4, 2 and 2. Mistakes happen, fine, but I stopped using them bc their staff just seem to not care.

So dissatisfied with this pharmacy. I get a different story every time I call depending on who decides to answer the phone. I decided to try this pharmacy out as I figured it was fairly new and service would be good. I was wrong. Publix shopping is a pleasure but its pharmacy a mess.

I’ve had 2 interactions with this pharmacy and both have been underwhelming. Associates have an attitude of customers being an inconvenience they are forced to deal with. Got a question? Save it because they are not paid to be helpful, just paid to sneer. Vaccination room doubles as trash storage which feels like it could be better planned.

From the beginning of this new location, the pharmacy department is always far behind the times. And even the pharmacy associates express, they are overloaded. If they always take time for more than an hour, I am really so surprised.

I used to love going to this pharmacy but lately I have been having the worst time getting my prescriptions here. My bf and I were in a car accident and the African American pharmacists told us she wouldn't fill our prescriptions because they didn’t have the medicines. I asked her if we could drop them off and just get a call when they are in (I do this all the time for my father’s medication at another Publix Pharmacy), she said no and walked away like she didn’t want to assist us. Another time she told me my insurance wouldn’t cover my prescription because it was an opioid. Took the prescription to another Publix, used the same insurance with no problem. I don’t know what this woman’s problem is but I definitely won’t be returning.
