Mount Zion Baptist Church

As a retired kindergarten teacher, I can’t say enough good things about Mount Zion Preschool. The children that attended here were well prepared for kindergarten. When it came time for my grandson to go to preschool, I couldn’t recommend Mount Zion fast enough! My grandson loves it here. The teachers are caring and genuinely love the children. The standards and activities are high, yet very age appropriate. The teachers make sure learning is fun! Every day at pickup time I hear this from my grandson, “I LOVE school!” I can certainly see why Mount Zion was awarded the honor of being a Georgia Preschool of Excellence.

They have soccer and basketball for young boys and girls. They may have other sports, but these are the ones we participate in. The people from the church who run it have always been very gracious.

The reason I love this church is because it is Bible based. The congregation is friendly and I feel like I can be myself. I trust the staff and volunteers with my daughter as I feel she is safe and well taken care of as I drop her off at preschool or Sunday school. This is a group of people who love each other and it's evident as you walk the halls and experience how they connect and worship.

I currently have my third child attending Mount Zion Preschool. I have had extremely positive experiences here and I highly recommend this program. It's not just a school, it's family. The staff members really love the kids and the children feel that love. It's warm and inviting. All three (out of four) kids have been eager to go to school each day. In picking up my youngest during the first week of school, I had issues! As Ms. Diane walked her to my vehicle, she began to cry. Barely talking at that age (one year), she screamed: "No go, no go? I go school...I go school!" I had to pick her up and load her into the van and into her carseat. She didn't settle down for ten minutes. I guess she loves Mt. Zion too!

Mt. Zion Preschool is an amazing start for your child's educational future. Both of my kids have attended this preschool and it's instilled a beautiful faith in their walk with Christ, it's given them strong and healthy social skills and embraced their ability to learn and grow at a pace that does not create anxiety. The creativity that is sparked and embraced there at Mt. Zion has amazed my entire family.

The staff at Mt. Zion cares for my children as though they are their own babies. This staff puts everything in to the programs, activities and care of everyday my babies spend there. I'm completely in love with this school and all of God's angels that teach there!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been thrilled with Mt. Zion Preschool. The teachers genuinely care about the the success of the children in their classrooms. The director and staff are wonderful, easy to talk to, and concerned with the best interest of the children. My daughter has loved school since her first day and has grown socially, spiritually, and academically because of her experience there. I highly recommend Mt. Zion Preschool.

Our daughter just 'graduated' from Mount Zion Weekday Preschool this May. When we first moved to the area, we enrolled her in another local school. After a few weeks, I could see it wasn't a great fit for her level of learning. I went to the surrounding elementary schools and asked them if they could tell a difference of Kindergartners that came from any specific preschool program. Almost unanimously, I was told to look at Mount Zion. And, they were right! The balance of academics, play, creative development, faith and music are incredible. My daughter went from being bored and not wanting to go to school, to crying on the weekends because she would prefer to be at Mount Zion. The teachers are a wonderful blend of discipline and love. The director is as good as they come as both a person and leader. I could not be more pleased and excited with the foundation my daughter received at Mount Zion.

My children both attended preschool at this amazing school. My kids are now older and thriving because of the foundation laid at MZ.

Love Mt. Zion Spirit, their kids sports league! They have flag football, cheerleading, soccer, basketball and t-ball. It is a non-competitive league that focuses on teaching skills and building team players.

They are the leaders in matching old with the new. Highly recommend mt zion church to everyone. Without them I wouldn't be where I am today. No matter who you are they will always lend you a han

The church ladies were very nice and helpful when we stopped in seeking information regarding the cemetery. This church dates back to the 1800s and my ancestors are buried in the cemetery.

Great atmosphere and very welcoming staff for Vacation Bible School. Our kids live it already!
