Athletico Physical Therapy - South County

Excellent experience at Athletico in
Concord Plaza. I had an ACL tear and
arrived with a brace and crutches.
Twice a week therapy for 7 weeks and
I am able to have full range of motion.
I have also regained the strength in
my leg and have a therapy plan to
continue at home. My therapist, Molly,
was so professional, caring and creative with my therapy plan. I always
looked forward to my appointments.
The front desk staff, other therapist and assistants were awesome. I highly recommend Athletico Concord for all
your therapy needs.

Having needed physical therapy numerous times over the years for knee and back issues, I can honestly say this was one of my best experiences. From the location, to the ease with which I could make an appointment, to my particular therapist, Molly Albers, everything went as well as I could have hoped.

For those concerned about cleanliness, every piece of equipment I touched was cleaned before and after my use. The bigger machines even had signs letting you know it had been cleaned.

I highly recommend this facility and it’s professional and caring staff.

Molly Albers was my physical therapist, she was a major part of my healing and recovery journey for both my broken wrists and ankle. She is very motivating and enthusiastic, with a kind heart and genuine spirit. She truly cares about her patients, highly recommend her! My range of motion for my wrist and ankle increased significantly! She is amazing, thank you for everything Molly! Also the physical therapist assistants and the front desk staff are wonderful

Taylor & Teresa did an amazing job with the physical therapy for my elbow. They were thorough personable conscientious and went the extra mile to make sure that my Rehabilitation process was smooth and effective.

I am happy my orthopedic referred me to this Athletico. I had a great experience with my physical therapist, Molly. She was very attentive and knew exactly how to slowly progress my movements and work as hard as I could. I enjoyed working with Molly and team. My knee was not doing great and I now feel comfortable to go back to my active fitness life with knowledge on how to continue working the adequate muscles to strengthen my knee. I am kinda sad to leave since everyone was so friendly there but I got the tools to move on and continue with life. Highly recommend!

I was recommended to this location by my orthopedic surgeon. I was placed with Maddie and she has been absolutely fantastic! I saw her for a little over three months. Maddie helped me develop my balance + stability in my ankle through building up the muscles in my hips, legs, and ankle! I appreciated her ability to see the bigger picture which in turn has strengthened my supporting muscles to further protect me. She also has a very friendly and easy personality which made going to therapy fun every time!

Molly A. is a fantastic physical therapist. She was attentive, listened to my needs, and developed a focused treatment plan for my knee after arthroscopic surgery for a torn meniscus. I have experienced tremendous progression with my walking, knee bending and workout capabilities. I would highly recommend Athletico and Molly A. for your physical therapy needs. (And Earl was pretty great, too, the visit I had with him when Molly was out of town!)

My physical therapist was Maddie. I loved all my visits with her. Some of the exercises were difficult but all of them worked very well. Maddie also understood how much strength I needed for the upcoming dance season, so she got me better quickly. I was feeling better in 3 weeks! She was so personable, I felt very comfortable coming the therapy every week all by myself. I am super happy I agreed to come to physical therapy:)

I asked to see Molly at Athletico on the recommendation of my sisters. I had to go a month before my knee replacement to learn some strengthening exercises, and the exercises were very helpful in making my recovery faster. Of course, I started going back a week after my surgery, and Molly is a wonderful physical therapist. She listens carefully, she keeps asking questions throughout your session about how it feels, and she designed a wonderful program for me. I also saw Earl when Molly was on vacation for a week, and he was great also. they both really cared about how I was doing.
Three months out from my surgery my doctor is delighted at my progress. Of course, I also did my assigned exercises at home, but the encouragement and positivity of Molly was key to my success.

Athletico South County was great for my physical therapy. The office staff was friendly and very helpful my first few visits.
Molly Alber’s was my therapist and did fantastic work on my shoulder. She worked with me to develop a plan that would work for me. She would explain the how and why of each exercise.
If I need to go back for anything else I will ask for Molly!!

I want to express my sincere thanks to your staff. My experience at your location was always pleasant. From the front desk, to the therapists and assistants it was always warm and welcoming. The environment was always clean, music was a nice touch too.

I cannot say enough about the therapy I received from Meg and Earl. They were attentive my needs, aches, pains all without judgement. They both pushed me to regain movement, flexibility and free me of the constant back pain. While I'm not at 100% I am certainly closer thanks to their guidance and exercises.

I had surgery on my shoulder and went to Molly for PT. She was great! She is kind, understanding, and really helped me through my recovery. Twice, when I was having trouble with an exercise, she figured out another way to get the same results, but with a different exercise. I did what she told me to do and I recovered quicker than expected, and my doctor was very pleased with my results (me too)!

Molly Albers was the therapist who treated me. She was excellent! Her caring professional manner, attention to detail and sharing of helpful information about how to help heal my injury were invaluable in allowing me to work back to full use of my ankle and foot. I am delighted with the help Molly and Athletico gave me and would strongly recommend them.

I suffered a back injury with severe sciatic nerve pain. My doctor ordered physical therapy and I selected Athletico South County as it was close to my home. My experience with them was great. Molly was my therapist and did a super job in evaluating my condition and leading me on my road to recovery. Her manner with patients is exceptional and she does take the time to evaluate your condition, learn about the activities you need and like to do and give you the therapy to get your life back. Thank you Molly and the entire staff, I highly recommend them.

Angie Hanford, my physical therapist provided excellent care designed to help in recovering from hip replacement surgery. She provided clear guidance on the various exercises I needed to do to strengthen all the involved muscles. Additionally, she is an excellent listener who provided professional yet caring treatments. Thanks to Earl M. who also provided excellent care and guidance when Angie was not available.

I would also like to recognize Theresa, one of the support staff, who aided when needed during my treatments. She too was a very caring person.

Finally, I found that all the professional or support staff I interacted with were all friendly and helpful during the time I was a patient receiving treatment at this facility.

I have been coming here for quite some time now recovering from knee surgery. My physical therapist is Maddie, she is very personable and knows how to push me to my limits. She has been amazing with helping me rehab over the past 5 months!

I had to have some operative work done on both my elbow and my wrist due to carpal tunnel. I was actually pleased physical therapy was recommended as I know what a huge difference that can make and was anxious to get started. I was rather familiar with the South County location as through the years I've had occasion to use them as a result of various body parts falling apart or fraying:)
I was assigned Taylor as my therapist and her therapy assistant, Theresa. They put me through all sorts of machinations designed to increase strength and flexibility and after a period of two-times a week attendance, my strength and flexibility were so close to normal I felt comfortable calling a halt to the scheduled therapy sessions and continuing at home. I do miss the hot packs, though.
Both Taylor and Theresa were personable, helpful and everything you could hope for in designing a program to get you back to normal and back to your normal life.
The downside - and this to me is completely asinine - is at various points you have to fill out a questionnaire/survey on a computer screen. The answers, of course, are already fixed on the screen and, as usual with these things, at least half the answers on the page bore no relation to what was going on with me at all and as you couldn't move to the next page without completely filling out the form, you guess. That is completely nonsensical to me and "they" would have gotten the same "accurate" results as if I'd refused to take it as accuracy wasn't going to be anywhere in the ballpark of the current situation.
I'm sure Athletico isn't the only facility that has this procedure. It just seems to me if it's not accurate, how can the results be judged accordingly?
That said, next time something falls apart I will be back to the South County Athletico as I've always been happy with their personnel and results, but this time minus the "survey."

Dr. Maddie was a pleasure to work with, and I also worked with Earl who was wonderful. They went over each exercise and explained what it would accomplish over time, and even noticed concerns with my knee and shoulder that were contributing factors my doctor didn't see.
100% will be coming back here for my future physical therapy needs.
They always have a smile on their face and we're a joy to work with.

PT Margie has given me my life back! Her expertise in fascia massage and release has decreased my chronic hip pain significantly, given me back much range of motion throughout my whole body, and completely eradicated one of my other issues which I didn’t even know was related. I am a huge fan of Athletico and their many convenient locations and I am an even bigger fan of Margie the PT! She is brilliant, fun, caring, and so knowledgeable of the body. She also specializes in pelvic floor therapy!

I've just finished 6 weeks of therapy with Jeff and Earl and must admit I feel so much better. I had 35 percent of mobility in my neck when I started and after 2 visits a week for 6 weeks I have 85 percent. The exercises and advice they gave me have been invaluable and I will continue to do them now that I have 'graduated'. Thanks Jeff and Earl, your expertise is greatly appreciated.
