The Fantasy Shop - South County

Staff was helpful, friendly, and know their books. Was able to shop for myself and daughter with ease. I was in because of House of X and they had first edition and variants on the shelf. I was able to help my daughter find titles that were appropriate with the staff help without having to read every issue first. Fantastic experience will be back!

It has changed over the years. But as always great place to get comics and gaming supplies.

Friendly, helpful staff. I really enjoy Friday Night Magic Draft in particular. Everyone (staff and customers alike) is so nice while I have been learning the game!

They have a huge variety, including lots of things from local artists, and the employees are so friendly and helpful. My shopping experience was the best I have had this year and will happily be returning.

This place is awesome. We went for the first time today and the employees were so friendly and helpful. We weren’t even completely out the door before my daughter asked when we could go back. We definitely recommend!

Every single time I have ever been the staff has always been delightfully friendly and helpful.

They're great about helping you find whatever you're looking for there or at their other locations and can get it quite quick if they need to order it.

Another thing they've excelled at so far is making recommendations based on what you're buying. Turned me on to a couple of new board games.

Also! Their pricing is also pretty darn competitive for a physical retail, too, which is pretty awesome.

I will almost certainly be doing all my tabletop and comic shopping with these guys from now on.

The staff loves their job go over the top to help a guest. I did say Guest because I felt like a guest in the store rather than a customer. The shop is extremely well organized, and items are easy to find

I love this store. The employees are awesome. Casey has made the store more roomy and inviting. All the employees are knowledgeable and are great at finding new comics or games for you.

Fantastic staff. Went here for free comic book day and everyone was lovely! Shout-out to the guy dressed as Qui-Gon, you looked just like him! (hopefully it was a Qui-Gon costume lol)

My best friend passed away in March of this year. She was really into Dungeons and Dragons, comic books, and similar things. In college, she took me to my first comic book store. Despite my living on the fringe of these worlds, I thoroughly enjoyed going to the comic book store with her. Back then, I had a crush on She Hulk and that kept me busy while she explored the shelves in her fantasy sanctuaries.

She always wanted me to play D&D with her - I was scared for some reason. She told me I'd be great and have a lot of fun. At some point, I'll play in her honor. Naturally, when I saw the store sign, I was curious. I thought, "Courtney would love this, I'm sure. I should go take a peak." My job transferred me to South County a few months ago and I've been looking your way every day since then. Today was the day.

I walked in and was greeted by a friendly employee and a welcoming LGBTQ section. The vibe was calm and familiar. Despite never being there before, the shop was easy to navigate. I perused almost every shelf. Sensing the employee would have loved to assist me, I wanted to engage in conversation. However, I held back, after a few comics almost moved me to tears, which would have been both joyful and messy. Plus, if I spoke, I risked saying, "My best friend brought me here today. She's dead. Say, 'Hi, Ghost of Courtney.'"

I found several delightful magnets - hero fandoms for the work freezer and D&D for me and my late besties mom and brother. I also found an incredibly exciting book on world building, something I'd never thought too much about before today. This store obviously has a lot to offer, a lot of different people. I'm endlessly grateful for the inclusive, inviting, and magical experience of visiting your store. Looking forward to coming back. 💖

We love this place. We brought our niece along for her first comic store experience and they were wonderful about guiding her to a fun, age appropriate and interest aligned series. They always have great suggestions. They are always welcoming. Also, my daughter's favorite places to shop and get her graphic novels and comic books.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff in a welcoming environment. Employees always willing to answer questions about upcoming books/products, and can offer recommendations based on a customer's preference. Store is clean and well lit and easy to navigate. Great place to hang out and play Magic or talk about comic culture!

I love the Fantasy Shop. My D&D dice addiction aside, their comic book and board game selection is awesome and the workers are always extremely nice. Support your local game/comic shops!
