Strawberry Cafe

Found our new favorite restaurant. The fried green tomatoes were the best either of us ever had. Our lunch was fantastic and so was our server, Ella. Even our 10 month old granddaughter loved everything we ordered. Not only was Ella fantastic, they were able to make a special meal for me since we were the only ones in the place (a very late lunch). We even got to meet the owner. We loved this place so much and plan on returning very soon

Father's Day without a reservation, they got us in at the bar. 30min wait, but offered us drinks while we waited! Even as busy as she was, the bartender was social and attentive. The staff gave us their fave recommendations, we took their advice and we were very happy with our choices! Food was fresh, hot and tasty! Definitely a must go to again! All nestled in what used to be a train station! Highly recommend trying!!

A friend of mine and I visited this last Saturday ,the food was great! I had not been to this restaurant in many years, yet it has not lost its charm!

We started off our meals with a salad, I ordered the Caesar and my friend ordered the house. They were very fresh but I needed more dressing.

Next was our entrees. My friend ordered the pork loin with Creole seasoning, shrimp, and crawfish. It was superb and plentiful. I got the chicken alfredo and added shrimp. I like my food with a little kick and thought I would have to get some red pepper flakes, but the pasta was seasoned perfectly 🥰

As the neighboring table had libations brought to then I saw a drink that caught my eye. I asked the bartender what it was and could he make a similar drink, but with pineapple juice... no problem. As with everything else, it was delicious 😋

We were almost too full for dessert, but we got some anyway. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake, which came with an Oreo crust. This was the only thing that I didn't particularly care for. The juice from the strawberry made the crust soggy, and the strawberry topping was not sweet, in my opinion. My friend loved it.

I decided to get another dessert, the strawberry Key Lime pie. Now, this was a seriously scrumptious pie! Perfectly tart and sweet with homemade whipped cream 😋

All in all, this restaurant receives a 5 out of 5.

Dee, the manager in duty, was helping out in whatever capacity that was needed. She was ultra nice and genuinely concerned if we enjoyed our meal.

The wait staff all worked like a fine oiled machine. They worked together to make sure every patron got their food in a timely fashion.

I am very picky when it comes to eating out and expect stellar service when I do dine out!

This is the first time I've been here and I will absolutely return. Quaint and cozy atmosphere and understandably popular for Sunday brunch! Seating and service was quick and friendly, and our server's suggestions hit the spot so perfectly.
The Chicken Cutlet was crispy and paired wonderfully with the sausage gravy and poached eggs. And the pot roast in the Train Wreck was melt-in-your-mouth tender. And you get biscuits for the table!!! This is a Must-Visit, Must-Return.

Great local restaurant with some of the best brunch around. The sausage biscuit Benedict is to die for! Staff is always fast and friendly!

Our first time here and it won't be our last! The food was great, served hot and packed with flavor. Angela was attentive, friendly and extremely helpful with food selection. She made our visit a memorable one.

Always a wonderful experience. The appetizers were all very good, specifically the fried green tomatoes, crab claws, pita with cheese. I always get the rail car, loaded and quite delicious. Their cocktails are also quite good, my favorite for the season and this time of year include the basil gimlet as well as the bathtub gin, specially on hot summer days.

The cafe has a nice location with good atmosphere. The outdoor dining option is great. The food and presentation were spot on with solid quality and quantity. Staff were helpful and professional.

I had such a great time everyone was SO kind! I loved the food(I got the general Tso’s) it was delicious and came out quickly. 100 percent would go back!

Sunday brunch at this casual cafe born out of a historic train depot building was charming. Prior table reservations are recommended, but it was almost 1o'clock and so our party of two didn't have to wait to, at least, get a seat at the bar.

Indulging in libations to start off, I tried the Madison Manhattan. An accidental splash of extra vermouth was masterfully balanced by our bartender by adding a pinch of extra bourbon, and I wasn't complaining. My friend chose to indulge in a refreshing glass of poinsettia made with champagne and cranberry juice.

The cafe was going to be closed for the following week, and hence unfortunately they were out of a few items including crab cakes. So my friend had to settle for a traditional egg Benedict, which was also quite delicious. I ordered the chicken cutlet and was floored. The tender, juicy fried chicken on a bed of toast and sausage gravy was already a winning combination, but it was made so much more with the pooched eggs, bacon and grits. Yummy! Needless to say we are eagerly awaiting to go back for the crab cake benedict soon.

Outstanding breakfast! The Cafe Benedict is the BEST I've ever had - the hollandaise sauce is amazing! Sunday brunch service was quick. My sister and daughter had the French toast, and both agreed it was delicious. Highly recommend!

We loved this restaurant! It was our first time and it was a delightful experience.

The atmosphere is slightly nostalgic but unique and not overdone. It's comfortable and pleasant. Surprisingly affordable for the experience and delicious food.

We didn't have to wait to sit or receive our food even though it was quite busy. The food was high quality. I would definitely recommend it. Wish I had found it sooner!

This restaurant was highly rated on Yelp, and a friend of mine who's a local recommended it. Everyone who ate with us, a party of nine, was so pleased with their food. We caught them for Saturday brunch, but we could also order off the lunch menu. I had the delicious crab soup and the fried oyster appetizer, both were absolutely delicious! Three people in our party had eggs benedict, either on English muffin or a crab cake, also delicious. During brunch, they bring biscuits to the table with honey butter. The service was great, and my brunch glass of red wine was also fresh and delicious.

Had a great date night! The staff was very accommodating and the food was great. I wanted the veggie pasta but no red sauce and the kitchen happily made it for me with white wine cream sauce instead! Very good!
