Best Western Plus Hanes Mall Hotel

Had to come into town due to a family emergency with a family member in one of the nearby hospitals. The proximity of this hotel to the two big hospitals nearby is a HUGE plus if that is what you are looking for. What started out as only a planned couple of days in town turned into a much longer stay and the front desk staff was super accommodating and not having to pack everything up and find a new hotel mid-stay with everything else going on was extremely appreciated.

The rooms themselves are fairly spacious and not overly cramped with 2 adults and a toddler. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, housekeeping staff kept our room clean and they were careful not to barge in if we were in the room during cleaning. Towels were also surprisingly soft for what I have come to expect from a hotel. Sheets/linens and bed was clean, room was in good shape. Overall within the walls of the hotel it was quiet during our stay.

The biggest complaint I have with the stay has nothing to do with the hotel or staff but the proximity to the nearby road. Our room faced a relatively busy road and the residents of the city seem to have a propensity for obnoxiously loud cars which was a bit unfortunate. Luckily we could drown out the noise fairly consistently with the in-room climate control.

Overall it was a good experience with the hotel, it was affordable even with a prolonged stay, close to nearby shopping and the hospitals, and staff was always kind and happy to help out when needed. I hope my future stays with Best Western can meet the high standards of this location.

Needed a place to stay for one night and this Best Western suited our needs just fine. Clean and quiet room, convenient location, and decent breakfast offerings in the morning. I would stay at this location again.

Thank goodness for Pam! I had just finished a 24 hour shift at the hospital. Had a reservation at a nearby hotel confirmed and had until 7 am to check in before it would be cancelled and I’d have to wait until 4 for check in. Arrived at that hotel at 6:15 am. They wouldn’t check me in. Spent 30 mins calling around and couldn’t find another hotel who would let me stay earlier even when I was willing to pay for an extra day.

Called Best Western. Pam was incredibly empathetic and quick to get me taken care of. They have an entire floor that the majority of travel nurses stay on. Arrived to the amazing aroma of hot pancakes. Checked in, got my breakfast and was able to have uninterrupted sleep for the entire day. The room was clean and had everything I needed. Will definitely be staying at this hotel after all of my shifts from now on. Thank you!

What a great place to stay. Our rooms were always taken care of. The staff made sure we had plenty of towels and toiletries! It's an ideal location to the Hanes Mall area, Wake Forest campus, and not too far from Lexington. Whenever we come in town to visit family, we are staying here. Thank You very much!

Bathroom paint peeling in tub no toilet paper not enough towels and and no soap TV didn’t work maintenance never came to fix it. Called them twice never came.

A nice mid level hotel with a quality breakfast bar included. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. My son and I found the selection available at breakfast satisfying and fresh. The desk service was courteous and helpful. The hotel was close to many restaurants and a variety of shopping too.

Rooms were nice. The only complaint I have is bathroom supplies need to be replaced daily and I was staying two days but I had to get my keys reactivated on the second day. So I had to make a extra trip to the front desk when I was ready to get to my room. The breakfast was very good and the attendant Swift was SUPPER. He kept everything filled and fresh. I really do not know how he was doing everything he was doing. Best Western plus needs to do whatever they can to keep him.

After reading these other reviews I was weary. But glad I chose to stay. Room was clean, fluffy towels, great ac. The hallways were quiet, but walls are definitely paper thin lol. The guy at breakfast was absolutely awesome!! He’s why this hotel gets 5 stars!!

After reading some of the negative reviews, I was apprehensive about keeping my reservation. However, I'm glad that I did because my room and the hotel exceeded my expectations. My room was very clean, the water was hot, the towels were soft and fluffy, no bed bugs, strong WiFi, nice TV with lots of stations. The only thing negative I can say is I didn't care for the pillows (a personal preference) and the bed was a little too soft for my taste. Aside from the hotel itself, the location is super--very close to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and the Wake-Forest Medical Center.

My family and I are staying here while we are in between homes. The staff here has been great. They are all so nice and pleasant to be around. Two people that have really made our stay stand out as higher then normal enjoyment is Swift, and Pam. We are leaving in a few days to go several hours away, and I'm already sad about leaving. Thank you Best Western for hiring such pleasant staff, thank you for breakfast "NOT" in a bag; Swift and Pam, thank you so much for your daily smiles and conversation!

I had a Great experience staff happy, helpful, professional, crazy clean.
The room was VERY nice, I the bed was super king size, bathroom super clean.
Breakfast was just RIGHT everything you needed to start your day.

I was so impressed with my visit. The staff was incredible and the hotel was so clean! The breakfast in the morning was nice but I really would like to see more fruit and maybe some muffins. The only complaint I can think of is the mini fridge in the room was unplugged and I had to plug it in. All in all, the hotel is worth staying at!

My husband and I chose the Hanes Mall Best Western for an extended stay in Winston. We stayed for 7 nights total, and extended a few times. The staff were super helpful, and the room was plenty comfortable for a stay of that length. The in-room kitchen amenities were enough to cover us for most meals. We both work remote and the internet service got us through full days of admin work and video conferencing. We couldnt have asked for a better place to land during our stay and will be recommending this location to anyone traveling in the area. Many thanks to the whole team!

we were warmly welcomed despite lacking reservations. Our late arrival meant the handicapped accessible lodgings were already taken. Close to medical resources we were using, small fairly comfortable space decent water pressure and comfortable furnishings. Early to breakfast is advised since they didn't replenish the scrambled eggs. Only two trolleys to service the entire hotel so bring them back to the lobby when you are through. Very pleasant staff and good value for the price. Clean and quiet.

Pleasant, cozy and clean. The concierge staff was very professional and helpful especially Pam. The complimentary continental breakfast food was fresh and dining area kept very clean. It would be nice tho, if there was eggs , bacon and or sausages to go with the waffles. I would stay again and recommend to friends.

The staff were very friendly at check in. The room was very clean and everything was in working order. The lobby had coffee available all night and it was very good. The breakfast was typical and was good. The seating area was plentiful with different types of seating. Staff were helpful during our stay including the breakfast staff who was around to answer questions. They even provided help before we asked. They told us about the items that were not normally found at breakfast. The whole stay was great.

Have no complaints about anything. Everyone is friendly and was very helpful with suggestions of places to eat on our first stay there. The rooms have always been clean, with very updated decor. The 2nd shift desk clerk Justin is awesome! They don’t come any better than him. He’s gone above and beyond to help us in many ways.
My husband has to go for Dr visits to Wake Forest so we will always stay here on our trips to Winston Salem.

The staff was more than helpful. unfortunately my wife got sick the first night here due to some bad takeout but the staff asked about her well being each and every time I came down to the lobby. The hotel manager was very friendly and engaging. Wife said it is her new favorite hotel in Winston Salem. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK to room with you again! That is a 100% GUARANTEE! My wife and I had a great experience here. The hotel was very clean as was the room and all common areas. Staff were friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was good and the area was clean. The attendant made sure everything was stocked to make sure guests could get what they wanted. Well worth the money.
