Hampton Inn & Suites Winston-Salem/University Area

Rooms are awesome!! Best I've ever seen in a Hampton Inn. And the night shift or evening shift who checked me in were awesome!! Couldn't ask for better. Best experience ever. However the next morning was horrible. I always exercise in the am and usually in a pool because I have a disability and water lessens the impact on your joints. But after a less than standard breakfast I went to the pool and key card didn't work. I went and had it re keyed, tried it yet again and still wouldn't work. The front desk lady was not helpful really at all and at first acted like I was an inconvenience to her

Checking in was great, getting room service the next morning was terrible because they didn't tell us we need to request it (usually you only tell them when you don't want it). The employees were at the front desk joking about it, then when they saw us, the conversation went on for about another 2 minutes then they scattered.
One morning the breakfast staff was nice and were greeting everyone, the next morning, I'm not even sure if they looked up from in the corner on their phones..

The lady who was working the breakfast area in the morning was extremely sweet and helpful.
I told my husband we haven’t haven’t stayed at a hotel/motel with such nice staff in a long time!

Travelling from Canada through the United States, we are always looking for a quality pet friendly hotel. This Hampton Inn is a WINNER!! All of the staff were welcoming and extremely accommodating. The room was immaculate and the bed soooo comfy. Be sure to try Iris’s delicious breakfast. Would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat. We will be looking up Hampton Inns for future bookings. Have the best impression of Hampton Inns from our stay here.

Wonderful experience!! The guy at the service desk was nice and helpful. The room was very clean. The lady at the breakfast station was very nice and very helpful as well! The eggs and the potatoes I had was right on point!! Wonderful stopping place and great staff!!

We were looking for a place that was clean, a good price, and had availability. We are on our way to Myrtle Beach and needed a place to stay the night. I am a review junkie and searched every hotel in the area. I’m so glad we chose to stay here. We checked in after 10pm and the guy at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The room was pristine, beds were comfy, and the shampoo and conditioner was top of the line. We had breakfast before we left in the morning and it was delicious. The lady that was working the breakfast counter made sure she brought out hot food as soon as we walked in. She was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall 10 out of 10 will definitely stay here again.

The swimming pool was closed. Looked fine but closed. The reason we chose to stay. A manager has reached out to me and went over and beyond! Great place. The swimming pool was fixed!

I do my homework before staying at a hotel these days looking for a safe, clean, comfortable place with friendly service. I found it all at this location! As much as one pays to stay all night on the road these days, I/you do not want to be disappointed. Read the reviews that people leave and if the majority give positive feedback (and it's in a safe neighborhood) you will be satisfied!

This hotel was very comfortable and clean! I was very impressed! The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. They gave us extra linens and pillows when we needed them! Very clean hotel and I would definitely stay here again. Parking was great! Several restaurants located nearby.

Hotel was full but staff were as inviting as they always are at Hampton Inns. The room, breakfast, and surroundings were quality as we find almost always staying with Hampton.

The breakfast lady was such a delight!! Her smile, positivity, kindness and all around ray of sunshine was just what a property needs!! I had such a "feel good" after experiencing her at breakfast. Kindness and a smile can go a very very long way!! Never let her go, she is an asset to your property!!

Great location near many different food options.

We moved out of state but still visit once a month to see family. Based on our experience with surrounding hotels this one was a very pleasant surprise. We LOVED our room (king suite), the staff was helpful and courteous, and the rest of the hotel was clean. We’ll definitely stay here again.

We stopped here on our way to Myrtle Beach. Awesome stay, friendly & welcoming staff, breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel. The lady working it kept it spotless and was very accommodating.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff is at this Hampton Inn. After checking in, the person at the front desk remembered my name and addressed me each time I came and left. The night staff accommodated a late check-out. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful - nice that they are back to serving a hot meal. Just perfect in every way!

Was absolutely surprised by my room. Spacious and quiet while doing my homework. The only thing that I do not like is the maid knocking on my door 2 hours before checkout. Checkout is at 11. I will leave before or at that time. But, I will return.

Wonderful place to stay and boy did they save me! The Inn is clean, convenient to everything and the staff goes out of its way to help.

I’ve been doing a ton of travel for work lately: Washington DC and NYC and most recently North Carolina. This past week I stayed at the Inn for two nights and couldn’t have enjoyed my time there anymore than I did. The room had a great setup for my laptop and work needs, the Refridge came in handy for snacks and leftovers and the bathroom was spacious. Best of all, the staff was so accommodating- far more so than other places I’ve stayed in recent months. And when I made the huge mistake of leaving my wallet on the counter after I paid my bill, Landon reached out to me and Kirby quickly Fed Exed it to me. They virtually saved my life because everything, including cash and my vaccination card, was in it. What a relief to receive it intact today at my home in Massachusetts! Thank you for a wonderful stay. Next time I’ll keep a tighter grip on my wallet.

This was a nice hotel and room. The staff from the front desk to the housekeepers were the best part. Would stay again over others in the area without question.
