Ava's Cupcakes, Winston-Salem

First time here and definitely not my last. The cookies were huge and sooo delicious. The strawberry and champagne cupcake was very moist and the icing was delicious. I didn’t know it was filled. So I ate around that part. Overall I was very pleased.

Ava's Cupcakes is founded by Michelle Spell, the winner of the 4th season of the popular Food Network show, "Cupcake Wars". Winston-Salem is extremely fortunate to be the location she chose to open her cupcake shop. I've tried about 8 different cupcakes so far, and each one is packed with their own unique flavor, including creme brulee, apple pie, and s'mores. Contrary to other cupcake shops around WS, the sweetness level of these cupcakes are within an acceptable range and will not make you frantically grab the closest glass of water to wash down the sugar.

WORTH IT? YES, they are the BEST cupcake shop in Winston-Salem and the greater Triad area (Overall 8/10)

Absolutely yummy. I am new to the area and stopped in just because Ava is my daughter's name. Ended up having a wonderful conversation about the start up and growth of the establishment. Great people and great cupcakes.

This shop is literally so cute. The customer service was really good, and everything I got was delicious. I got a few cupcakes and two cookies all really good and even better it was gluten free. Will definitely be coming back soon😁❤

Delicious Delightful! Oh my goodness. Truly amazing, we tried more than 1 & loved them all! The German Chocolate was my favorite. Very nice staff & appears very clean. A must visit!

Showed up right at closing and the young lady welcomed us right in. The cup cakes were amazing and the service was very welcoming.

I stopped by there today and I am so glad I did. The woman that was working was kind and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions about their cupcakes.

There were so many flavors and they all looked delicious. I bought a strawberry cheesecake cupcake and oh my goodness it was so good. The flavor was on point, the compote in the center was fresh, the frosting was packed the right about of sweetness. I will be back.

Great! Needed a dozen vegan nut free cupcakes for my sisters 37th birthday within an hour. Called Ava’s cupcakes and they were able to accommodate. Cupcakes were fresh and ready to pickup when I arrived. Perfect and I will order again. Thank you!

The three cupcakes we ordered were delicious and gorgeous. The baker took time to share with my daughters and me about her education and how she plans and collaborates with her team to bring these delights to customers like us. Our visit left us smiling from the yummy, creative treats and the informative chat!

Delicious flavors, moist cupcakes and friendly service. There cakes are also delicious. I purchased a cake and cupcakes from the Clemmons location for my baby shower. My family and friends enjoyed them both. I try to visit them at least twice a month when I’m craving something sweet. Try the following cupcakes: apple pie, classic vanilla, red velvet, and all seasonal flavors.

LOVE these cupcakes! I have only been once, but their cookies are soft and delicious and their cupcakes are amazing!

Stumbled upon this bakery by chance and I am SO glad I did! I originally ordered a dozen cannolis for my boyfriend but upon entering the shop and seeing the amazing cupcakes, I had to get a half dozen cupcakes as well! We sampled everything because we just couldn’t wait and it is all exceptional!! Also, the girl who helped me was so sweet (pun intended haha) explaining all the flavors and let me know Ava’s even ships nationwide! I will be a forever customer, best bakery I’ve ever been to!!

This is our go to for sweet treats! Ava’s always has the best flavors and combinations. My favorite is the creme brûlée and my husbands is the Irish cream. The staff is fabulously friendly and always has a smile and friendly attitude. They have also helped support the school I work at with fundraising for our Athletic Booster Club. Ava’s is truly a local gem!

Ava’s Cupcake shop has the most delicious and all natural products. My favorite is her cupcake wars winning banana guava ......amazing! Chef Michelle and her staff are always eager to accommodate their customers requests, if difficult she will find away to make sure that they are happy....during this most difficult time with COVID 19 we need to support our small businesses and you certainly will not be disappointed with Ava’s

I love Ava’s Cupcakes! What I have had so far has been delicious! The Banana Guava cupcake is by far my favorite and I didn’t even think I liked guavas! Give them a try and see for yourself!

I recently went to a thunderbirds game and they had thunderbirds cupcakes it was a red velvet cupcake with a layer of chocolate ganache and cream cheese frosting and it was the best cupcake I’ve ever had and I only paid 5 bucks best purchase ever
