PR SHOES - SAS Shoes

Have searched MANY stores in Winston-Salem, Greensboro and online, looking for 11- narrow shoes for my wife, including the main Mall stores as well as the lower-price outlet and mass-market ones. NOBODY carries them, or even realistically offers to get them for her. Many of the sales staff in the outlet stores just looked at us blankly when I said 4A-6A, having no clue.

Finally one afternoon I called Shoe Department's north store. A very kind lady said "Honey, (always love being called Honey by a lady) they don't send us anything smaller than mediums." In high frustration I exploded "Well, what is she supposed to do", or maybe something a little nicer than that, but the desperation came through.

She told me the only place she knows of that stocks women's narrows is SAS. With big dollar signs flashing in my mind's eye, I called SAS. The young woman who answered said, why yes, they carried women's narrows, that they had some in stock, and (miracle-of miracles!) there was a sale in progress.

I said we'd be out, with only a tentative notion to drive over, but the more I remembered the local "No's" and the outright online chicanery we'd been through, I thought, "We've gotta go!" So, we did, and don't you know, the lady had all the 11 N's in the store set aside for my wife. I think there were 4 pair on that particular day.

When she tried on the first pair, my wife looked up at us with the sweetest smile, saying "These shoes were MADE for my feet!" I nearly cried with joy and relief. She bought two pairs, leaving the old ones in their trash can. It's not just about fit, of course. The shoes are obviously of superior quality, both in materials and workmanship.

Yes, we paid more than one would pay at any of the oulets, but probably less than at Dillard or Macy's, if such a size were available. And, we were waited on by two women who were both knowledgeable and caring. We are grateful.

I have been a customer of SAS for many years, first in New York then in Greensboro, NC I have always had excellent service in NY but the service here in NC is outstanding. They are always more than helpful and have gone out of their way to accommodate my needs. I now have to travel to Winston-Salem, but the trip is well worth it. The most comfortable shoes my wife and I have ever worn.

I have worn SAS shoes for 10 years. Nothing but outstanding comfort and value. I find the owners of the Winston, NC store to be great people and superb salespeople. All 3 pair of SAS shoes I have purchased have lasted 5 or more years. That makes the initial investment of $150 a pretty good investment.

The shoe quality is exceptional, especially if you are on your feet every day. I just bought some top quality insoles there. Prices are not low, but you really get what you pay for. Staff is helpful and professional.

I bought 3 pairs of sandles from a different store but none of them were really exactly what I wanted...comfortable, casual and could be dressy. I remembered having SAS sandles that I loved until a puppy chewed one up. They cost more than I normally pay for summer sandles, but less than 3 pair that left me wanting more. I went to where the SAS store use to be...no store. Finally found this great store that carries SAS. Took 5 minutes to find the shoe I was looking for, a while to decide between white and black. They were on sale. Best money I have spent in several years. 15 minutes, in and out. They are heaven to walk in and go with every occasion and every outfit. Love, love, love them. Thank you!

Great customer service from friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff that know SAS shoes and the shoe business. That is unusual for most retail businesses today!
The local owners have two SAS stores (Winston-Salem and Charleston, SC) and have been with SAS for many years.

This is not like Walmart look and grab! These folks go over shoes, sizes and discomfort zones. An attendant at Red Wing Shoes referred me to SAS. Merry Xmas everybody! JEP Jr

This was my mother first visit for comfortable shoes. Excellent service and a wide variety of shoes to choose from. We will definitely be back.

what wonderful shoe's-- I work very close to this store so naturally I wanted to try these shoes --being a shoe lover -- i am on my feet all day long ... and oh my gosh these shoes are the most comfortable shoes i believe that i have ever worn -- i do a lot of standing and walking and they are so comfortable-- the owners were so very nice and patient .... i think i must have tried on every shoe in the store ... they were very helpful in determining what size shoe i actually needed .. i have since purchased 3 pairs
