My wife and I had dinner last night to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful experience. Our server, Valentina, was very friendly and on-the-ball at all times. They first brought out the complimentary starter deviled eggs, which we found delicious and unique. We began with an order of the okra which is only in-season at this time of year. The portion was huge, so plan to share; the picture below shows an almost half-eaten portion. Being from NC, I consider myself an okra aficionado, and this is the best I have ever eaten. Then we shared the Beefsteak Tomato special, which was very fresh, unique, and wonderful. I had the Delmonico steak -- prepared and seasoned perfectly, with just the right amount of crust on the surface of the steak. Since it was my Birthday, they offered me a complimentary dessert, and I chose their Blueberry Crostini. Chef Tom Armstrong came out to chat with us, answered all my wife's questions about how he makes the okra, and he shared how he visits the Farmers Market to pick out the vegetables personally. He came back out after they delivered the Crostini to see how I liked it. We had a fantastic time. This is a very special place for special occasions.

This was on my hub's list of local steakhouses to try based on a coworker's recommendation, so I saved it as a surprise for a birthday. My husband already knows how to cook a great steak at home (such as using sous vide methods), so our expectations were high. Service was impeccable, especially as they helped us navigate some dietary restrictions, and steaks were cooked to preference. It is a pricey treat so not an everyday thing for us, but worth the splurge for a special occasion. Looking forward to more special occasions that we can share with others, and opportunities to try more menu items.

I’ve driven by Vinnie’s many, many times and always wondered about it. Today was finally the day I got to try it, and I was very impressed. Everything was clean and well taken care of, including the bathroom (which had nice toilet paper, although it was missing a baby changing station). Our waiter was personable and an excellent photo taker, which is nice to have! The food, though, was really the star of the evening. The crab dip was creamy and crabby, the onion rings were big and juicy with the most delicious batter I’ve ever tasted. The Caesar salad had dressing they mixed in beforehand and the croutons, although quite large, were perfectly light and fluffy while still being crispy. The bread was also excellent, with a slightly sweet taste to the exterior. The entrées were delectable. I had the Delmonico ribeye with the smoked Gouda potato gratin and the meat was so perfectly cooked. The waiter asked everyone to cut open their meat at the table to make sure it was at the right temperature (everyone’s was), which was nice, especially given the one review where the guy complained about his well-done steak, which he obviously ordered that way. My husband’s salmon was excellent with and without the beurre blanc sauce he added. My father got the prime rib, and it was just as tender as it should be. The au jus that came with it expertly complimented it without overpowering it. We got the white chocolate cheesecake and crème brûlée for dessert, which were also very tasty. I’d definitely come back here again happily!

Dinner at Vinnie's Steak House on Six Forks Rd. In Raleigh. Place has been there forever. The service was top notch and I must say the free deviled eggs were the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Thursday is half priced bottles of wine so that was a nice surprise. The oysters Rockefeller were awesome as well as the tuna. Ribeye was very good and cooked perfectly. Desserts were fabulous, will be back soon. They do need to update the interior, 1980's feel, but that won't keep me from going back.

It was our first time there and I was so impressed! The atmosphere was very intimate and cozy. Our server, Stephen offered impeccable service from the moment we were seated. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and he had a wonderful sense of humor that made my Husband and I so comfortable, as if we had been coming there for years. The food, omg, was amazing! I had the black & blue crab cakes and my Hubby had the Balsamic Chicken. Both were delicious. The must try was the smoked gouda scalloped potatoes. And we finished off our evening with a delicious cappuccino. We will be back for sure!

5 star plus! Chef Tom and his crew blew my mind! Calamari was the best I've had in 23 years. My ribeye w Bernaise was immaculately prepared as well. Then we come to the Brick of "Love". Layered potatoes, w smokey Gouda creamy goodness...next time, I'll review the staff...great people...

Great service, excellent ambiance, wide-variety of nice options (including vegetarian), and fabulous wine. Price is a little bit on the expensive side, but great quality. Amazing desserts, so make sure you save room! I split a bacon-wrapped filet with a lobster tail with my husband, and the kitchen even plated it nicely for us. My friend got a rack of lamb with delicious whipped mashed potatoes and crispy brussel sprouts (I was lucky enough to snag a little bit of each!). The menu had a lot of choices and the kitchen would be flexible with your order as well. For dessert we had a flourless chocolate torte with peanut butter mousse and pretzel crumble, and fluffy apple fritter puffs with a cinnamon ice cream and whipped cream (a seasonal special). I'd give it an 9/10 as the steak was cooked a little tougher than expected, and prices were a bit high, but everything else was perfect.

We have been coming here for special occasions or a nice date night for many years. Have also had corporate dinners in the back rooms. This visit held up to the past, and they are wonderfully consistent in service and quality. I had steak the previous day so opened for the trout, wife got a filet or ribeye I think. Just wonderful, great service and LOVE the atmosphere. Costs a little and with a mid range bottle of wine and oyster Rockefeller starter and tip, somewhere in the 200+ range. We felt valued, well attended by our server and just enjoyed ourselves.

Hands down the best steak I’ve ever had!!! I’ve tried every steak house in RTP. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The crust was phenomenal. My salad was average. The cocktails are delicious and I only needed two!! Definitely a great place to go celebrate something special and spend some money.

Last night we went out to celebrate my birthday, and the chef prepared a mini appetizer with a grilled shrimp glazed with strawberry jam, sprinkled with some white cheese. The presentation was impeccable and by far the most elegant piece of shrimp I've seen. I would never thought a grilled shrimp would paired up so well with strawberry sauce.

I ordered the filet Mignon and it was cooked just right. I cut into the filet and it was so soft, it melted in my mouth. We ordered the sautéed spinach and mashed sweet potatoes. I have never tried mashed sweet potatoes before and it was so good! The side items are very large in portions to share. The sautéed spinach was done just right and it was not soggy at all.

For my birthday, I had a complimentary dessert of my choice. The desert was enough to share with my friends. What left a good impression at the end of the meal was when the chef came out and greeted us by asking how our dining experience was. We told him the food was perfection! The chef taking the time out and chat with the customers was a plus! I would really recommend Vinnie's steakhouse to anyone that would like a good steak meal. We never felt rushed at all.

Rented out the private dining room for a big celebration and it was lovely. Our food was fabulous (I had the ahi tuna and everybody else raved about their food as well), and for dessert we got HONEYSUCKLE ICE CREAM YOU GUYS. It was definitely one of the best things I've ever eaten. Our server was very attentive without being intrusive, and management checked in on us also. They are pricey but it is absolutely worth it.

My husband and I were celebrating his birthday and this was our first time at Vinnie's. (We are new to the Raleigh area from Atlanta.) I must start off by saying that we could have chosen many other steak houses in Raleigh but we selected this one because we prefer to support private family businesses when we can vs chain establishments.

We both had the Steak Oscar for dinner...An 8oz filet wrapped in crispy bacon, topped with lump crab, hollandaise sauce, and asparagus spears. The filet was seasoned perfectly and had at really nice crust. I only wish it would have been a little more juicy on the inside since I ordered medium rare. That being said the temperature and color were perfect.

We also had Cesar salad, mushrooms bourdelais and mixed vegetables. All were very good.

We ended dinner with a very unique dessert that I didn't think I would like but was one of the most amazing desserts I've ever had. I don't remember the name but it was a frozen white moose with a thin layer of spice cake on the bottom and a layer of crisp chocolate on top. It sat on a smear of some type of pistachio cream with accents of blood orange reduction. I loved it because you could taste all of the different flavors and they didn't get lost with each other.

Our server Mandy was very attentive without being intrusive and we had a lovely evening. Other reviewers have commented about the decor here. I personally find it to be somewhat nostalgic for me. The dark wood paneled walls, linen table cloths and simple traditional decor remind me of restaurants in the north east. I'm not from there but have always enjoyed eating at those types of places when Ive visited. Good food, family business. We will definitely be back again.

Went here for a Continuing Education dinner, and I was very impressed. The wait staff was excellent, and things were served in a timely fashion. The dinner was great (I got the bacon wrapped fillet). Even the caesar salad was delicious! Will definitely be back.

Vinny's has become our go to spot in Raleigh. Food is amazing, wine list is excellent, and we have always received great service. My wife and I went last night for our wedding anniversary and had another great experience.

Just attended a holiday party with my husband’s company (Kelly Window & Door) and had to write a review. Yes, the food was delicious (especially the sesame crusted tuna)...but the service was even better....truly top-notch! We were all very impressed.

Seriously great experience at Vinnie’s for my Mom’s 63rd birthday. The food was amazing. All of our steaks were cooked to perfection. The menu selection was great. The service was wonderful. We would absolutely go back. I would say this place is the best steakhouse in Raleigh. And it’s not even a close competition.

Went to Vinnie's for the 1st time to celebrate a couple occasions wrapped into 1 evening. We were warned by friends the prices have gone up recently, But they have EVERYWHERE let's be honest.
4 of us had 2 bottles of wine (1/2 price bottles on Tuesdays & Thursdays) a shared appetizer, 4 entrees, sides to share and 4 deserts. My steak melted in my mouth. The potato gratin "The Brick of Love" as they called it was A-mazing. All of our food was cooked to our desired liking. We thought it was Delicious.

The server despite how busy she was and running around during these crazy short staffed times in the hospitality business still made us feel attended to and she was great!
To top it all off before our desert course Chef Tom came out to ask how our food was and apologize personally about the wait. That was VERY kind & classy of Chef Tom. To the staff at Vinnie's THANK YOU for making our special night out a GREAT dining experience.
From the hostess that sat us to the goodbye's at the door. We will be back!
