Great breakfast place. Artsy decor and friendly staff. Sometime short wait on Sunday mornings. The biscuits are perfect blend of light, fluffy, and moist. The grits are the best I’ve ever had. Lots of delicious breakfast choices. Eggs Benedict was great. Was my first visit and I would go again anytime !

Absolutely incredible breakfast. We sat at the bar to avoid the wait and it was so much fun to sit there. Portions are generous, price is totally reasonable. Service is great. Will be making the hour trip often!! Beware when it’s busy it’s LOUD. But totally worth it.

It was a nice place very friendly service only down side was no syrup was offered for our French toast . Eggs n bacon were good. The grits I did not care for but the highlight was the vanilla latte. And of course the biscuits were fresh n warm it was delish . Not sure if we would return but definitely worth the try 😊

This breakfast spot has breakfast anytime! It's very colorful inside with nice wall paintings and decor. I love breakfast for dinner. I love that the biscuits were on the house. They came with this sweet and savory sauce. I ordered the cheesy fritters and they were very cheesy and fresh. Delicious!! Our server was very friendly and amazing.

We had an incredible experience. Excellent customer service, caring, efficiently and delicious food with vegan menu. We recommend the flying biscuit breakfast and vegan tofu wrap. Our server Gabriell was magnificent , highly professional flawlessly managing the bar and tables. We were delighted and impressed.

Came here to meet friends for brunch. This was the best choice. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. I dont eat pork so and Im very skeptical of turkey bacon. Most times it tastes bland and rubbish. Well whatever brand they use is top notch and I was very satisfied with the turkey bacon. My whole meal was so good. My friend loved her shrimp and grits. We will be coming back soon when I am ever in Raleigh. And let me not forget the mimosas was awesome!!!

An amazing spot for breakfast, with a bar, indoor seating, and outdoor seating in abundance. Their biscuits are incredible. Even in you're not a biscuit person. Friendly service. The coffee is good. I got the Hollywood omlete made from egg whites with extra vegetables added and a side of fruit. They're very accommodating. The inside is lovely, if a bit loud when it's super busy. Would love to come back.

It there a way to overly hype up a place?

I was greeted and sat quickly. We ordered ALOT of food. The loaded chips, the banana pudding pancakes, strawberry stuffed French toast, acai Bowl, and some drinks.

Y'all, when I saw these banana pudding pancakes will change your life, I'm not kidding. I've never had a more delicious pancake in my entire life. They were fluffy and packed with flavor! The strawberry stuffed French toast is sweet and delicious! The chips are heavenly! I can't accurately describe how good the chips were! 10/10 highly recommend!

This location has a full liquid license so you aren't restricted to standard mimosas and bloody Mary's at your brunch outing, order to your hearts content.

I highly recommend giving this place a try, whether it's breakfast for dinner, actual dinner, or a brunch outing, they have what you are looking for!

If I could do more than 5 stars I would. Flying biscuit is the best. The biscuits are immaculate. Sarah our server was fantastic and so friendly. I love going here with friends. There are no bad items on the menu. The pancake tacos are great and the pimento cheese fritters are otherworldly. Must go stop in Raleigh whenever I visit.

Flying Biscuit is a fantastic breakfast experience in the heart of the NC State community. The staff is unbelievably welcoming and attentive. It is an awesome place to bring your family for great food. I've always been impressed with how consistent this place has been ever since we started going there years ago. It does get busy and there's a great reason for it.

Eggs grirs and bacon breakfast was excellent.
Matt our server checked back a few times making us feel like the old time customer service which is better then the slow service of today's restaurants.
Thank you .

To preface, I am not a huge breakfast person. My husband however is. We went after a flight to Raleigh and let me tell you, I’d give this place 100 stars if I could. The food was out of this world! The biscuits are the best biscuits I have ever had in my life and don’t even get me started in their grits. We will be back, I’m already craving their food and I’m excited to try more from their menu!

Super place..I loved the food here, it was a bit of a wait however there are little shops in the area to window shop as you wait if you want (I did). Service was perfect as well. Our server was friendly and was there to fill our drinks, and whenever we needed anything, at the same time, was not overbearing and at the table the whole.entire time. Noise level wasn't bad at all,we got sat in a side room with only 4 other tables, but it still was a lot lower than expected being that crowded. Definitely will be returning with more friends and family, love this place!

Coming from a Bostonian (who supposedly comes from an area of great food?) this breakfast spot blew every other retro diner I’ve been to out the water. The service was excellent, the food was as well, but I particularly appreciated the perfection of the scrambled eggs. Not too runny or creamy, but not over cooked. The French toast as well was spot on. 10/10 will visit again!

She'd been goin' on and on about this place since shortly after Valentine's Day. I have to tell you, I should definitely have believed the hype, and so should you. We arrived at the Flying Biscuit Café, Sunday at 11:40 am. There was an estimated 90 minute wait, but including the time it took to get on the list, we were seated within 45 minutes. I can't comment on the interior, because I never went in. Outdoor seating was what one would expect. The tables were canopied, for which I was thankful, because it was hot, and Sol wasn't taking any prisoners that day.

She ordered a "Tastes Just Like Candy" which literally consisted of cotton candy and alcohol. It did taste good, but it was fun watching it occur. I caught some video of it. But the real magic happened in the kitchen because I tell you what, the first biscuit that came out was so buttery, light and fluffy, I was amazed. These are how biscuits should be. They were light, fluffy, just dense enough to hold a topping, and so wonderfully moist!

She'd ordered the Meggxican Wrap, while I'd ordered the Oh My Grits Bowl w/ chorizo & salmon, and all the vegetables; and a short stack of Banana Pudding Pancakes to share. The food was so good I'm not even going to bother describing it. All the love went into making these dishes, and presenting them before us. We ate our fill and had enough for another meal later in the day. I would absolutely recommend you seek out this experience. I am wondering whether I'll manage to avoid visiting tFBC at least once per trip to Raleigh. The odds aren't favorable.

FB is a solid breakfast choice and popular locally. The biscuits are fresh and tasty and the rest of the menu is varied enough most folks will find something they like. We’ve lived in Raleigh less than a year but have been here numerous times already. We’ve never had bad service and never had bad food. Chorizo hash is a favorite, the Southern style Benedict is also good, Breakfast Burritos, Pancakes, Biscuits and Gravy, …
You get the idea. I can’t vouch for the brunch cocktails but only because I haven’t tried them. They look good though. Insiders tip, the side of biscuits and gravy is big and filling by itself and one of the cheapest options on the menu. My wife and I will sometimes split it and share a second entree and we always have leftovers.

The Flying Biscuit is in an adorable setting with a vibrant, enjoyable atmosphere. I came in for breakfast on a Wednesday morning and elected for bar seating which was a great choice as Halle provided great, attentive, friendly service even when she was really busy. The meal started with a complimentary biscuit with apple butter, both were a perfect start to the meal. I ordered the stuffed strawberry French toast breakfast with over easy eggs, chicken sausage, creamy dreamy grits. Eggs were cooked perfectly an the French toast was exceptional! If I could give one criticism it was that it felt like the sausage had sat a little long and was a bit dry. However, not enough to drop them a whole point, besides the French toast more than made up for it!

The Flying Biscuit definitely has the best grits hands down. Super creamy and flavorful. No added butter, salt or pepper needed! The biscuits are always amazing. I tried the French toast breakfast with the sauces on the side, French toast was great and sauces were perfect! Chicken Sausage great as always! Great customer service, I went early and sat in the bar area! I also tried the Not-So-Hot-Toddy, it warmed me up!

We had a great time. The wait staff were outstanding. The food was delicious! The grits were great! The biscuits were great, and the apple butter was fantastic. Everything on the menu is good. We were pleasantly surprised with the chicken sausage patties. They were outstanding. The location is just right. It's near the NC State campus. The location is chic, and there are many boutique style businesses. This is a must place for breakfast all day when visiting Raleigh, NC. Look for the Village downtown.
