Just had dinner here and it was delicious. We started with a charcuterie board, highly recommended to get your appetite going. For the main course I had the chicken masala which was absolutely delicious. Good Indian food is extremely complicated to make it I was very pleased. It was the perfect amount of heat and spice. We also had the short rib and it was tender and very tasty.
Coming from Florida, the prices are a gift here. I highly recommend the Blind Mule. Our server Alex was extremely thoughtful and we loved every moment of our dinner. We will definitely be back. I wish I would have taken photos of the food but I forgot.

Atmosphere and service were great! Our server was extremely knowledgeable about both wine and food options on the menu. The Duck Confit on Arugula Salad was fantastic! Bacon Wrapped Elk Meatloaf was and Short Rib were also very good! Being from out of town, we definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling through!

Beautiful restaurant, however, come here for the food! The salad was so greasy with local ingredients. The main course was the Braised short ribs! So tender and full of flavor. If you are in this area don’t miss this place! Don’t forget the dessert!

We would reserve a table every night we stayed in Brevard if we could. Family owned, farm to table creative dishes. You definitely could tell the ingredients are fresh and there is thought in every dish on the menu and daily specials. We visited Brevard for a weekend getaway but also celebrated 9 years together. The Blind Mule was our first night stop. High recommend the duck egg rolls and Lamb wedge fries for an appetizer. For entrees my husband ordered the tenderloin with garlic mash and the veggie of day which was asparagus. I had the NY strip special with sweet mash and veggie of the day. Cooked to the temperatures we wanted, tender and the Demi glazed that came with both our dishes were to die for. We also had dessert my husband had the chocolate moose cake which was rich and I had the wild berry crumble which was super fresh. Let’s just say I almost forgot to take a picture of all our dishes because of how good they not only looked but smelled. Great drinks as well! We are big foodies and love reviewing local eats. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable on the menu. Super chill atmosphere. Great for date night. Highly highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the experience food was excellent I had chefs special I don't mind surprises . Did not expect to be hungry when I left but it goes with territory for these nicer places I think. The waitress was great very personable and took care of my table well . We can be difficult so she did well. Only thing is location its on a side street I was worried about parking but there is lot across the street . Would definitely go back as I like going places that are unique

My wife and I dined here upon the recommendation of a local gentleman and couldn’t be happier that we took his advice! The Blind Mule was an absolute treat! The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in and the space is intimate and warm. The food is the star of the show here highlighting local ingredients and artfully prepared. I had the Elk meatloaf which was “melt-in-your-mouth” tender and delicious and my wife had a Branzino picatta which was some of the best fish I’ve tasted. The desserts (bourbon pecan pie and key lime pie) were a perfect accompaniment to the meal and a fantastic way to cap off a wonderful experience! Our sincerest thanks to our server Brooke, Carole for coming to chat with us for a bit, and compliments to Chef James for preparing us a truly delicious and memorable meal. We will be back!!

Tonight is our 10 year anniversary and after trying to get in at 2 other restaurants with no luck (early birds, even!), The Blind Mule took us in. Our server was Mira and she was absolutely perfect. She was so caring and celebrated our anniversary with us.

And the food? I was a little worried because the menu is limited. There was absolutely nothing to worry about. We tried the meat and cheese tapas, with the goat cheese and fig jam being my fave. I had the mountain trout with grits, local honey Dijon, and sautéed spinach. And I wound up a member of the clean plate club. My husband had the grilled CAB tenderloin. I am not a steak fan, especially how he likes it. But it was like butter. It just melted in my mouth.

The ambience, the food, and especially the staff (host and Mira were awesome) make this a place I’ll happily recommend and visit again

The staff is wonderful and the chef is beyond amazing
We also had take out thanksgiving and it was really the best thanksgiving dinner I’ve had since I can remember.

The only thing that would have been better was if we could have eaten it at the restaurant with the chef and staff. Amazing place

Chef James, Carol and the Blind Mule Team had a French wine dinner last night. The evening was spectacular with each course and wine pairing perfectly matched! And the service was outstanding too!
We love dining here any time of year and if you have not tried a wine dinner, I highly recommend you consider the next one👍🍷

Such a great find! We stumbled upon it and love the tapas/small plate concept so decided to give it a try. Service was excellent and Carol (the front of house owner) was so gracious. Her husband does the cooking and the food was excellent!

The Blind Mule is our favorite restaurant in Brevard. Where to start. Well the food of course. We go weekly and have never had anything we wouldn’t order again. While the menu items are always great, we usually combine some regular items with their weekly specials which usually fill another blackboard. The drinks are eclectic, mixed in with the classics and they have great wine list too. The owners Carole and James recently went to Europe and brought back an excellent selection. The ambiance and decor is really charming. This is your upscale yet casual restaurant where they actually want to know your name. They are grateful for their regular customers, but equally thrilled with out of town guests too. Our favorite waitress Gus is exceptional and more like being waited on by a friend. It’s a gem you must try. We feel very lucky Carole and James chose Brevard for their latest adventure .

The best restaurant in Brevard! My fiance and I have dined here several times, and have never been disappointed by what chef James prepares. Everything from the fish, small plates, and delicious steak, to the smartly crafted wine and cocktail menu, is absolutely divine. The atmosphere is perfect for a nice night out, and Cay always knows exactly what to recommend, times the courses perfectly, and is wonderful all around! Carol is extremely sweet and also checks that everything is excellent (it always is), and it is always a pleasure to chat with her. You are missing out if you have not been to The Blind Mule!

Absolutely wonderful! We called at 5pm to get a table on a Saturday evening, and they immediately took us! We were so happy, as we were visiting Brevard and did not know we needed reservations for downtown dining! Our lovely server, Brook, was so wonderful and understanding to our needs. The food was divine, I highly recommend the trout and the steak. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Such great, unique food. We had multiple small plates because they sounded so good. The Brie, gnocchi fries and duck leg were all so good. Do not miss out on the duck leg…I’ll be craving that one later. Also, the staff could not have been any nicer. We weren’t the easiest table, having 3 little kids.
We had the bartender surprise us with a gin drink, and he did not disappoint.

This place is amazing. Family, chef owned restaurant with a unique menu. We had the special corned beef & hash pasty and it was delicious. Carole & James create a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a must visit spot in Brevard.
