Villa Amato

We had to try pizza for our first time here. We ordered a medium, but it was Surely a large! The pizza was great, and with the perfect amount of sauce and toppings for my tasting. The warm fire was perfect for a rainy, chilly night. Our drinks never went empty. For a little "hole in the cabin" kind of place, this log cabin was nice for a quaint date night. We'll be back! Not too far to drive either!

I highly recommend this place which can be easy to miss on your way to Highlands from Brevard. First I would like to say the place has a nice warm feel and you can bring your own wine is a bonus. We ordered the Lasagna and later ordered a 14 inch meat lovers pizza with garlic extra crispy. When the Lasagna came out it was hot and very delicious the tomato sauce was outstanding. When the pizza came out it was cooked perfectly with pieces of meatballs and spicy sausage ham bacon and pepperoni. It was also outstanding. I hope that you get the chance to eat some nice Italian food.

The pizza was amazing! They loaded it up with ingredients and the crust was perfect. If you want great pizza, stop by. They have in restaurant dining, but do alot of take out. I can't speak for the pasta, but some customers were picking that up as take out so it must be good. The ingredients are fresh. The staff is very friendly. I don't think you will be disappointed. The pizzas are big so order a medium if you typically get a large elsewhere!

This is a nice little Italian restaurant tucked away near the mountains not too far away from a lot of waterfall attractions and scenic overlooks.

Food was really good and fresh, I just wanted to say thank you to the staff that was there. That accommodated us an hour before closing! We Came from the Charlotte Metro area to go to the shadow of the bear scenic overlook. After we were done we came by around 7:00 to get some food before we packed up. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for pizza or any pasta dish. Prices are a little on the heavier side. I will admit but can't complain considering it's probably one of the best spots in the area!

The Baked Penne and Meatballs were fantastic and I wished I had a bigger appetite for the pizza!!

Unique small country pizza stop on lake toxaway. Almost missed the place due to the lack of signage. I'd highly recommend for old school no frills Italian food.

Hands down: the best pizza, the best and only cheese steak sandwich!!! We will travel hundreds of miles to eat at Villa Amato! If you have a bad day - go and have some of their cheese steak sandwich with freshly cut veggies 🍅❤

Wow. I came in with pretty low expectations but they surpassed them. The salad was fresh and crisp and the balsamic dressing was great.
I had the Italian sub toasted. I am pretty picky about Italian subs but this one was good. It would have been even better with banana peppers on it.
Great Italian bread with good butter too.

When we are out riding, we try to hit mom & pop style establishments. This place fit the bill and didn't disappoint! All of the food was excellent! "Real" southern style sweet tea! The staff was friendly and prompt! The building is quaint and perfect for the mountain vibe of the area. We will definitely be back in the future

Best pizza is this part of the state. We hiked the rainbow falls needless to say we were super hungry and our only objective was find quick and easy food . So we headed to this tucked away resturant and boy we were amazed with the pizza and wings and the size of the pizza is hearty, medium size is 8 slices, the plant corner table is cute. Friendly staff.

Wish this place was closer. The pizza is the best and I come from Chicago!! A hole in the wall but the food is amazing!

Every time we order from Villa Amato we get the best service. Our pizza is our family favorite. So great full to have them and Lindsay in our community.

I was born and raised in Philly which is, of course, known for its cheesesteaks. I’ve taken to making my own because I never thought I’d find an authentic one in the NC mountains. That is, until we ordered a couple from here. They are absolutely the real deal and as good as any I’ve had in Philly. I won’t be making my own anymore.

The pizzas, salads, wraps, chicken parmigiana, egg plant parmigiana and ALL the fresh bread is INCREDIBLE! It reminds me of the French bread from New Orleans. The whole family works here and are so NICE! You cannot go wrong with anything. Note: they honor rest on Sundays and are closed 😊

We do not dine out for dinner as I often cook. We stop in for a treat from time to time and they are so sweet and patient with us. They remember our order like we were regulars and that means a lot. I have never seen a more hard working and loving family coming together for a family restaurant before.

It was 25 degrees out tonight and the smell of the wood burning fire from outside set the ambiance for our meal. The fire was warm and everyone included our family in conversation. Hands down this is a FAVORITE of ours❣❣❣

Ok guys. I'm going to shake things up in Transylvania county. This is hands down, the best pizza anywhere in Transylvania! This is a huge New York style pizza. The crust is amazing, with good undercarriage. Great flavor and perfectly done. We also had the Antipasto salad which we split between the two of us. Everything is fresh. You want the best pizza, we found the best in the area. You won't be disappointed!

The meat lovers pizza was OUTSTANDING!! If we are ever back in the area on vacation, we will be coming again! I highly recommend this pizza place! It’s definitely our favorite place we at at our entire trip!

Great little family owned Italian spot. Highly recommend the pizza, cheese steak, and the antipasto salad.

We just got takeout. It’s fantastic New York style thin crust pizza. We got the meat lovers. Definitely recommend it considering the lack of good pizza places around this area. 13 minutes from Sapphire Valley. These people obviously know what they’re doing in the pizza kitchen.

Quaint, great food, and service were wonderful. It was my 1st visit, and I will definitely go back soon.

This pizza is amazing. Quite possibly the best pizza our family has ever had. You won't be disappointed. Plan ahead as they get very busy on the weekends during the summer.
