The people here are always in the greatest of moods. The vibes are immaculate, and the charisma is strong. They know exactly how to help, and are happy to do so. 10/10 would recommend.

This is an old time hardware store. Staff is very helpful and prices are reasonable. They have some unique items you may not be able to find elsewhere like pecan crackers. They can redo your screens to save you time and money.

Old fashion hardware store. Great place to shop. They do not have the variety the big box stores have, but they more than make up for it in service. I highly recommend this place

This is by far a Hidden Gem in San Antonio. They have the most amazing customer service I've ever experienced in a small hardware store it reminds me of my hometown. Anything and everything you could need and if they don't have it they can order it. I would choose this place over Home Depot any day. I get all my tools and all my necessities for my home here. They have an amazing plant selection and go above and beyond for their customers. I highly suggest that you check them out for all your Hardware needs. Why give money to a big chain when you can come to this shop and have the best experience and all the pieces that you need to get the job right. The bonus is they have toys for the kids!

As always, the employees were very helpful. I wasn't sure what I was looking for, but the owner and another employee, after listening to what I was hoping to accomplish, were able to find the parts I needed and send me on my way, a satisfied customer. I had been to two big box stores prior to visiting here. You just can't get patient, personalized support like this at a big box store. Love this store!

Such a pleasant shopping experience, especially when stacked up against the big box stores. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and non-judgmental (as new homeowners we had a bunch of novice questions). I liked that they had a nice selection of products beyond hardware & tools (like bird feeders & cook books!).

I just moved here to San Antonio, and live on French Street so this is 1 mile up the street from where I live. It reminds me of the hardware store that I frequented for years in Seattle. So happy to find this. Excellent information excellent comes customer service. My go to store from now on!!

First everyone in this store is always super friendly! But recently I needed some help with a previous purchase, a project I thought would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Tama not only assisted me but went above and beyond to locate my customer information, receipt etc. I have not seen such diligence and determination in a long long time.

I’m not sure why I have not written a review before but Schnabels is worthy of a grand kudos . The friendly helpful staff sets a great environment when you walk in the door . They honor their product and service . I had went in to copy some keys I had mentioned that I bought a key there YEARS ago that did not work and they honored it by redoing it for me .... NOW THATS SERVICE !
I love all the unique items they offer there reminds of days gone by of boutique unique items.

If no one else has what your looking for. Schnabel's does!!!!! I needed a 7/16 X 3 1/2 bolt. They had it, the others didn't. They've got a great selection of retro metal chairs. As well as other things. Definitely stop by and check it out. The employees who work there are AWESOME!!!! Thanks for being there!!!!!

This place and the people are amazing. My first visit I actually learned something I would never have at Depot, where I usually go. They were not worried about the sale their concerns were if I was getting the right oil for my compressor. Walked out to vehicle, didn't start....they helped. I didn't even ask. I am a customer for life, I am sold.

I thought that since this was a smaller shop that the prices would be much higher, however I was surprised that they are actually very reasonable. Plus you can actually get customer service right away unlike the big box chains where you have to search the whole store to find an employee most of the time. I also love that I can get in and out real quick.

Amazing how small the store; yet, how large the inventory! Sure, Home Depot has everything on several acres. Sometimes I don't want to walk endlessly and get no help. True Value is less walking and more help. They have those odd items you need or they'll get'em for you.

My husband and I love going to Schnabel’s Hardware. They are always friendly and nice. Most of the time they have what we need but if they don’t, they have offered to order it. We appreciate their service.
