Jake's Place Park

Excellent place to take the family for a day outside! With the new addition of a paved sidewalk all the way around the park, mom can walk/jog while kids play. Win win! The park has different areas for varying levels of kids, big shade trees for hot days, a big pavilion with plenty of seating, wide open fields for sports, a bathroom right next door, and the friendliest horses that enjoy visitors. We have spent many hours here and I know many more hours will be spent in the future!!

This is also a marked location for a safe internet purchase exchange with cameras! Keep in mind for the future.

This is our favorite local park. Sometimes we wonder why there isn’t more people at the park when we’re there, but also not complaining. This park is super shaded. Multiple playgrounds for our daughter to play on. Momma takes a walk around the track with the stroller while the daughter and I play. Great big, covered pavilion, with bird control so there’s no poop on the tables. The park and the police station share a parking lot, so you really can’t feel any safer than this park. Country setting, with neighboring farm animals. Highly recommend this park.

One of the best parks in the area. Ample shade provided by trees, pavillion, and covering for playground equipment, which is much better designed than most, allowing kids free reign to explore and play with minimal chance of injury. Large fields in the back for older kids to play ball. Very safe since it shares a parking lot with the Oak Point Department of Public Safety.

Kids love it. Even though it's about a 15 min drive, kids say they want to go to the fish park

Excellent playground to spend a LONG time with kids. Comfortable seating for parents to get food and drink coffee while watching the kids play. The tall slides w the little rock climber are 10/10

What a pleasant place to go relax and enjoy the grounds and let the kiddos play to their hearts content! It also has a nice covered space for gatherings and clean restroom facilities. Win/Win!

Lots of fun. A couple of the slides are inaccessible to smaller children but overall, a very cute park. There is a covered pavillion with tables for picnic lunches or events. Our favorite spot is the climbing wall.

This is a fantastic park! The setup is very well done and it has activities for all ages. Jake's Place is a great place to bring the whole family where everyone will have something to do. It's located next to Oak Point City office and police department. The city of Oak Point dedicated the park for a boy, Jake Mazmur, who died after getting struck by lightning.

Went to this park while visiting the area looking for a house to buy.
My 3 year old loved playing across all the vastly different equipment.
It’s a safe feeling being able to play with the police department in the same parking lot.

I've lived in Oak Point for 40 years . I was here before Jake's Place. Back in the 80s, I had an in-home day care and Jake and his sister we're two of the children I took care of. Jake was a really super kid and I was close to his family. We appreciate the city of Oak Point and all of the volunteers for updating the park.

Very nice playgroung with great attractions. The climbing walls are our favourite. The only thing missing, I would enjoy very much, are some trails for walking around. :)

My kids love this park. The playground offers a variety of things to do and play on. There's plenty of shade, which is nice for the hot Texas summers.

This park is a very friendly and has new playground equipment. It's a great place for an afternoon. Lots of room to throw a football. Full size basketball court.

What a wonderful park! Good shade and unique play structures. Both my 10 and 5 year olds had a blast.

This park is great! It has a playground for every age to enjoy, a walking path, volleyball court, basketball court, soccer field, pavilion. It has it all!

Usually lots of kids here that play well together. We go to several different parks. This one is the favorite park for the grandkids.
