Absolutely one of our favorite seafood places in DFW now!! Already went here twice, once for dinner on a weak day, and once for lunch on a Saturday. Both times the service was great and the waiters were very polite, knowledge and pleasant. It's set up as a little market place, which gives another reassurance that the food is super fresh! All the dishes we tried were exceptional! It's a simple, but very cozy and inviting environment.

It is one of the best seafood restaurants in Dallas. I used to go to the one when it was located off Inwood and Lovers. This new location is better, though. The food is always fresh, although the kitchen can get hung up at times. Waiters could be a little more attentive, but other than that, I come for the food, and it rarely disappoints. The snow crab fingers were next level, and the lobster brioche was amazing. Go here, you won't be sorry.

Everything was SMACK and FRESH! The Blackened Tuna and the Flounder SMACK; It had great flavors, and the sauces that were added were not over running the main course. I personally loved the cauliflower mash potatoes. Great & chilled vibes to celebrate 🤩 LOVED OUR WAITOR!
5 STARS coming back soon for the fresh fish market!! ✨ ✨✨🙌🏽

Great food and lots of options with a nice but casual atmosphere. We ordered Tuna Nachos, crab jalapeño bisque, Caesar salad, oysters (mixed variety), crab pasta, seafood Cobb and key lime pie. Everything was delicious and the key lime pie was perfection! The bar made a limoncello and espresso margaritas with the right blend of alcohol so you don't feel robbed. Will definitely go again!

Ok so we go on a trip each year on my lovely bride’s birthday. This year destination was Dallas Tx.
Now I have to admit my ignorance at how much water is in or around or very close to this area. So the freshness of the seafood and the abundance of it was lost to myself. So we ate at this wonderful establishment on our last full day in town.
We had at this point at every fried option of food you could think of to include chicken, fish, shrimp and was just wanting something fresh that wasn’t fried lol.
So we had a lot of places to pick from but most it seem had more friend options than grilled which this being Texas doesn’t surprise me any. But Rex’s was different and you could have it your way.
So we headed there. There are 2 locations and we thought we had picked the one closest to us but that was not the case but it turned out to be a great mistake on our part.
From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed as if we were the most important people in the place all though there were a lot of regulars in the building.
Once seated Amber our server came by and indicated that she would be right with us. She came back and took our drink order and explained to us how things worked. She gave us a little cheat sheet with the specials and sides that were on the menu.
We could have things our way all we had to do was ask and she would work it out. We got busy looking at the menu and decided to start things off with a shrimp cocktail and a house salad with the dressing on the side. When the prep staff didn’t do that Amber took it back and replaced it as it was intended with no fuss I was impressed.
My wife ordered alaskan king crab and she explained what a pound of them would look like and the price. It’s at current market prices. That night it was 65.00 a pound. We got her a pound. I had been wanting to try the Red Snapper and Amber explained the food profile of the fish. Indicated it would be more like a breast of chicken being a little on the drier side that if I wanted something with a little more wet content the red fish would be a better option or I could do a fillet of both. Hmmmmm see my way lol. I went with the snapper with the house sauce. Our daughter with the crab pasta that was filled with lump crab. It was very tasty and yes I tried it.
Our friends went with the shrimp salad grilled of course and the hubby went with the scallops which come with 4 of them. But you can order additional ones if you wanted for about 7 dollars each. Love options. Amber had them down without even looking lol.
The crab legs and the salad came out first because my wife split my snapper with me.
They were exceptional now most time my wife would be upset because they had split the shell but not this time. The guys/gals in the back know what they are doing. The meat in the crab legs was succulent and flavorful. The shrimp salad looked good as did Sharlena’s house salad.
As the food started arriving all talking ceased as everyone was yumming over their plates and wanting to taste what was across from each other lol. Like I said I did with everything but the scallops and the shrimp salad. The crawfish hush puppies were great as was the fish.
So now for my comments about this place. First don’t let it being in a strip mall fool you. This is just a good as the big fancy restaurant that charges 100+ for the same food. The level of service there rivals any that we received while in Dallas. The fact that you can pick out the fish you want or leave it up to them is an awesome option.
They make a good old fashion which is great too.
If you’re ever in town please check Rex’s out. We will be back again even if we are just passing through.
Amber thank your for all your knowledge and information you provided. And the level of service you gave. Your teammates were awesome to when they came by as well. Your boss have gems and I just want him to know we are grateful for it.

A great evening out! Sarah was a perfect server and every bite we had was amazing! The Alaskan King Crab legs were so good, and the Artic Char and Pumpkin Swordfish were to die for. We up in the suburbs, but will make a point of making the trek back down here just for Rex’s!

First time to Rex’s Seafood restaurant, and certainly will not be the last! Multiple choices for fresh oysters on the half shell! The ceviche and shrimp cocktail is so delicious! I had the halibut my husband had the salmon – both excellent! We Loved all the sides, especially the mashed potatoes with roasted artichokes!

Best seafood in Dallas. As an Asian who disdain American food, I was totally impressed by this restaurant. It’s almost the same level as what I got in Connecticut or Alaska.
I would recommend to try the halibut if it’s available. The shrimp salad is also good. For the oysters, I personally would suggest the ones from Rhode Island/Connecticut. They are sweet and fresh from Atlantic Ocean. The lobster rolls are also authentic compared to what I got in Connecticut and Boston.

Great restaurant. A rare place to get excellent seafood in these land-locked parts. We enjoyed the steamer (clams, mussels, crab legs and sausage, which tasted of the sea), blackened red fish, crab pasta, and fish and chips. All were excellently prepared and presented with the fresh seafood taking center stage. Can’t wait to come back!

This was our first time experiencing what we considered to be top service (waiter was John H.) and top quality fresh seafood. The variety of oysters at Rex's separates them from any other seafood restaurant in Dallas. We are originally from Houston, and seafood is very popular in the area we lived in (Kemah). We ended up bringing caviar home and a couple of to go items. If you are looking for a really good place to relax and just eat some really good food.... go to Rex's Seafood and Market. You will not be disappointed.

We can always count on Rex's for fresh, amazing fish and veggies. We can eat here and then buy fresh fish to cook at home. We like this location on NW Hwy near Hillcrest as there is better parking than the old spot. And the food us still as great as ever! We love the salmon, trout, cod, spinach, Cole slaw, green beans, red beans and rice, etc. Special orders are fine for the staff. They are so accommodating. The booths are comfy. There is also a great patio outside. We love it here!

The best seafood/crustacean restaurant in Dallas! This place puts Dallas’s top rated seafood restaurants like Ocean Prime and Cafe Pacific in shame. Oyster selections are wide (BC, WA, RI, MA, ME, PEI, NS, and NB – West to East order). Their quality is superb. Dallas isn’t exactly known for its food scene. However, Rex’s Seafood sets a high standard for what seafood should be.
Culinarily very well executed and palatable without a question!!!

Such a fan of this place! Cheesy grits, lobster Mac and cheese, and soups are not to be missed. We also liked the salmon on special topped with coconut shrimp and purple hull peas. The bread pudding was quite good. Service is always the best... we love the staff. Pro tip - Wine bottles are half off on Wednesday’s.

Unbelievable experience. The food was amazing and the staff were incredible. Best seafood in Texas. 17 different types of oysters. My fiance has a bunch of allergies and they were extremely helpful accommodating. Definitely a top 10 seafood restaurant in the U.S. I live on the east coast and eat out everyday/ night. This is a must try.

Delicious all the way around. I’ve had a lot of recommendations to come here specifically for the fish. Was told best fish in town. Smaller restaurant with lots of seating. We had lunch! They also have a happy hour and dinner menu.
Was worth the trip. I am not a fan of Brussel sprouts and theses were tasty for my pickiness! The hush puppies were great and came with a spicy jelly sauce!

First off the restaurant is beautiful and the modern design is very aesthetically pleasing.
The food is outstanding from the Fried Calamari (not shown eaten too quickly) to the Cajun Shrimp and Grits which was hearty and delicious but a tad bit salty even for Cajun style. The star of our meal was definitely the D-Town Fry with its smooth and fluffy eggs it’s fresh fried oysters and the Lobster Sauce was so creamy and buttery you could eat it by itself.

You have to check this place out. I will definitely be back with friends so we have a chance to try more delicious items they serve.
