Verf's Grill & Tavern

Wow! Two of us stopped in for lunch, and we both had AMAZING salads. In fact, it was so good that I forgot to take a picture before it was almost gone!
The restaurant was clean, the food came quick, hot, fresh, and my glass of iced tea was never empty. Oscar and J provided excellent service.
I would recommend this place to all my friends.

While it is more of an $$ restaurant, spending at least $15 for an entree, the portion of meat both me and my date got, it was incredible! The food and drinks were DELICIOUS. For reference, we got two alcoholic drinks, an appetizer, two entrees and dessert for $88? Not bad imo and I would definitely go again because their appetizers alone would make a whole meal!

Verf's was a wonderful surprise for us. We went on a weekday so it was not busy.

We liked the two person booths that surround the bar. And there are a good number of them.

The food and drinks were great. If you like good beer, their draught beer (Dallas Blond was the one tried) was one of the best. It was in a very cold pint glass and tasted fresh with a good head. You can often find flat beer in other bars but not here!

The food service from the kitchen was slower than expected especially on a weekday. So this is just something to note if you arrive on a busy day. The server was very good and had a bit of a chat with her which added to the atmosphere. She also checked us regularly without being obtrusive. As mentioned above, the drinks were cold and fresh and it was due to the drinks service.

The rib-eye was great. It was cooked according to the request. The sausage was a nice addition. Mash and green beans were tasty as well. Not a big fan of the fried onions though but others may like them.

The scampi was very good as well. It had too much sauce for my liking but there was a light hint of lemon. Pasta was cooked well albeit not al dente. And there were 5 good sized shrimps on them (I think they mentioned around 4 shrimps on the menu).

We went with the recommendation of the chocolate mousse and this was a great recommendation. It was not too sweet and was light yet have the chocolate richness. The crust was very thin and light. We loved the dessert and it was a great end to the dinner.

We went here after an afternoon of an escape room adventure. The food and service were great.
Seima was our server. She was pleasant, prompt, attentive and knowledgeable about menu items.
Everything we tried was hot, fresh and delicious.
For starters we had a variety including "The Bread", Calamari & Buffalo popcorn shrimp and Surf & turf nachos.

I had the Verf's Chicken enchilada. It was fresh, hot and tasty. A new favorite!
I will certainly be back!

I’m obsessed with this place! I went here for the first time a few years ago and ordered the Verf’s iced coffee, I’ve been hooked ever since. I have no idea how many times I’ve been here and ordered it yet, but I can tell you it’s always perfectly mixed and so so good!!!! The food is great too, I usually like to come here for brunch but everything has been good. Pretty restaurant and I like the atmosphere, prices are decent and nice happy hour specials.

I made last minute reservations for a large party and the staff was very accommodating. I will say, unfortunately some of the food we normally get just wasn’t as great this visit as it had been previously. Probably a busy Friday night to blame for that. Usually the meal is 10/10 so I’ll let this one instance slide. Looking forward to my next visit!!

Took the fiance on a date to Verf's and we both loved it.

The food is great... I had a Cobb salad... the cocktails are awesome... their happy hour pricing might be some of the best in town.

The venue was cozy and super clean for being a bar feel... and the service was fast, aware and really nice.

This is a great local place and we will be back soon.

Let me just tell you Everything about this place is Amazing!!! We were Blessed to have our end of the year Basketball Banquet on their covered patio area. They fed 81 of us and not only did we get a limited custom menu we got a delicious dessert setup as well!!! I can not speak enough about our experience here!!!! Stopped in for dinner. Food was great. We loved The Bread! The salad and entrees were delicious, especially the salmon special! Service was even better. Morgan was fantastic….polite, friendly, professional, and on it! We’ll be back and hope each experience is like this one.

Dinner was amazing. Food was good. Drinks were good. Waitstaff never missed a beat. Steak was cooked perfectly. Will be back!

Well I think I might have found my new favorite place in Flower Mound. For starters you must try The Bread! The bread hot and toasty with lots monzerlla cheese. It made your mouth water just by looking at it! The Pot Roast was cooked to perfection. We knew we had to get in our greens so we ordered the Blackend Chicken Cobb Salad with the salad dressing adding just the right kick to it. Never had fried cheesecake until now, but I liked it. I could have had a little extra sauce on it, but it was very good. Can't wait to go back and try Brunch on a Sunday!

I really wanted to sit on the patio, but wifey said no.
Either way, this place gets it right. The service was friendly and fast. Our food came out looking and tasting good. There is a large bar on the inside, making it a cool place to hang each week if you live close.

Yummy yummy. Drinks were healthy to say the least. The food is amazing. Can't wait to go again.

I hosted a ladies lunch for Valentine’s Day and 40+ women were taken care of easily. Levon and the entire Wait staff were excellent!
Food was wonderful and service was so efficiently orchestrated, it was impressive!
We all had a wonderful lunch and we will return.

Had a great brunch on Sunday. A great choice of food and the street tacos were amazing. Oscar was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. If you get him as your waiter you will have a great time. Overall a wonderful experience.

We came here for lunch at the recommendation of a local business owner. It did not disappoint!

Ambiance- mood lighting and industrial, but the large family picture lends a hint of home. Oldies but goodies played on the speakers.

Tyler was our server. Attentive and helpful in choosing menu items.

Onto the food. We ordered the blackberry mojito, brisket sliders, Kobe beef burger, and pecan crusted salmon salad.

Blackberry mojito - smooth, seems to be made with real blackberry juice.

Brisket Sliders were plated beautifully. Between the bread and the onion rings, I could have used more sauce, but there was additional sauce on the plate. The sweet and sour pickle was a nice refreshing touch.

Pecan crusted Salmon salad- filling for a salad! I liked all of the elements. I could have done without the pecan crusting on the salmon; didn’t seem to add much, but that is more personal preference. They did also bring out a large serving of dressing. Glad they let me do the honors as I only used 1/3rd of it. The greens tasted crisp!

The burger came out on a larger roll-style breads my husband loved the French fries and said the burger was “good.” I took a quick bite. Burger was juicy, and the bacon was Sweet, giving the whole burger a nice profile.

We were looking for a nice restaurant in the area which did not do a sous-vide style menu that did not allow for modifications based on my strict diet restrictions. Verf’s immediately came to mind and we were not disappointed. Not only did we have excellent service provided by Luke, but he brought in Ryan to help accommodate and guide me on my dietary request. It’s not often you seen the teamwork, effort and honest enthusiasm to assist a customer. This, coupled with good food and ambiance afforded a joyous dining by experience. We will be back and tell others!

Verf’s is always a favorite of ours; we are guaranteed great food, cocktails and relaxed, enjoyable experience every time we dine there! The staff at Verf’s treats all their customers like welcomed friends. This weekend, our server Oscar was so friendly and chatty; even though we arrived within an hour of closing-he never rushed us and even encouraged us to take our time dining or order after dinner drinks. Can’t wait to go back!
