A great tack store with everything you might need from saddles to ropes to apparel. I came in here explicitly to look for some new jeans and boots. They have a fantastic selection of Anderson Bean, HP, Olathe and Hyer as well as the usual suspects like TwistedX and Ariat. Well worth stopping if passing on 290. The hat section is also comprehensive.

If you’re looking for Western clothing or tack, this is the place. High quality and lots to choose from. I’ve bought a few items from South Texas Tack and each visit was very pleasant. Employees are friendly and helpful but don’t hover over you. Very nice shopping experience.

I recently bought an Ariat softshell jacket and shirt from them. I found them online and am embarrassed to say how often I've passed the store on the way to Houston or back to Austin. Never noticed how close they are from me. They have a great selection of many things. I will pop into the store soon to see it in person. Customer service is top notch as I had chosen a shirt that was totally different colors in real life. Shirley emailed me to confirm what I was buying & she sent me pics and then decided what I was going to get. I can't say enough about the quality of the things I purchased. I went in thinking I knew quite a bit about what I was looking for. After having some trouble finding things I asked an employee named Barbara. She is amazing and just the most helpful person. She helped me refine what I was getting and then helped me put my bridle together. She was never annoyed with all of my questions and gave helpful guidance. She explained everything so nicely and made sure I understand. If you need help putting bridles and such together she is your savior.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! I originally called this store to see if they did saddle fittings. Steve the owner helped me out and we scheduled a date for me to come in. Throughout the whole process he was so helpful. Going back and fourth and teaching me everything I needed to know with no guarantee I would buy something from him. I ended up leaving there that day with a few purchases (They had a ton of cute tack/clothes). Went home to think about it all and ended up going back to purchase a STT saddle. It was the best decision I could've made. The saddle is so beautiful and well made. It fits my horse perfectly and she's getting around the barrels better than ever! I would recommend this shop for anything you need especially saddles. If you ever have a problem just ask for Steve!

Great place to shop! Very friendly and helpful staff. We always find everything we need for the horses and for our wardrobe. Nice to have a beer while shopping too!

This store is beautiful, really well set up and the customer service was on point. The prices were higher than I was expecting but I was also going in to look for a bandana to work in for the day and they only had silk ones.

I love this store..Great employees great clothing and shoe inventory..That being said be prepared to pay high prices. I've bought shoes at fair market prices. But jeans, shirts, belts etc are high..My boyfriend buys his Wrangler jeans there they do have a good price on them. I need to save up to shop there. But I love there items it's always a nice visit..

They have the most beautiful shirts and Boots and cowboy hats. Their prices are no cheaper than anywhere else in my opinion. But the quality is definitely there. If you want higher quality come to this place and they have very nice ladies to wait on you and help you find what you are looking for! I love this place! I recommend it!

What a fun experience! Who knew shopping and having a drink was so fun! Great bar, comfy place to take a break or wait for your hat and visit. Total experience can't wait to go back.

Ordered a pair of the versatility chaps in Honey color and they arrived within two weeks time. They look great and the medium size fits me perfectly (I am 5'10" 175 lbs.) Very happy with the quality of the leather. Zippers are heavy duty and the laced fringe looks awesome. Love the fit and would highly recommend.
