My doctors visit was great but I didn't know ahead the office moved. I luckily just made it to my appointment!!

I’ve been through a few doctors offices since moving to Austin a few years ago, and this is by far the best one in town. Dr. Runyan is truly top notch, incredibly helpful, fast, and easy to work with. I’d highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Dr. Canon and Dr. Rie are both great doctors. I have never had any issue with other staff or any complaints in general. I have been coming here for a couple years now and I have never written a review. I was reading the reviews and thought I had to write one because I don't know why there are any bad. This is a great place. They are not too expensive and they will work with you when you don't have insurance.

5 star experience, needed a same day appointment and got it. The staff was nothing but respectful and fast which is appreciated since we are all taking time off work and have meetings to run back to. I started seeing Dr. Miller he is funny and thoughtful which is very much appreciated. I discovered that they do the blood work in house. Yes, no need to leave and go drive somewhere else or have the long wait for blood work like at ADC. What an amazing South Austin find!

I have been a patient here for over 20 years, continue to go here because all the doctors are excellent, and I have received excellent care. All my family members go here too. Wait times depend on how busy the office is; it is a busy practice but my time has always been respected. The doctors here care and they will find out what is it that you have; they go above and beyond. The office staff deal with a lot of multitasking but they have always been courteous and helpful. And the lab technicians are awesome. If I have an issue, I have dealt with the person directly and have always been treated with respect but those have been very few. I recommend this practice for their care and perseverance.

My physician is Dr Rie; he is extremely knowledgeable and well trained; never makes me feel rushed, (and I’m difficult, I know!) yet keeps me on track and is efficient while being thorough. I’ve seen other physicians in urgent care; always had excellent care; I write as a retired FP physician.

This was my first time here. Masks & physical distancing required in the waiting room. Front desk staff are very busy so they may seem to be short with patients during paperwork processing and whatnot, I can understand. Everyone was professional. The nurse who took me back was so nice and personable, I felt immediately at ease being at a new medical clinic. Rooms have the standard stuff in them, everything was clean. Place is run efficiently too with onsite phlebotomist. And of course I saved the best for last: DR CHAMPLAIN!!! She is here and I saw her and she’s still the same best doctor ever. She listens, doesn’t rush you, is gentle, professional and cares about your health. She’ll make you feel validated about what your health concerns are. And she has a way of making you feel like you’re her favorite patient even though doctors don’t have favorites and they have tons of patients, you’ll still feel cared for & special because that’s who Dr Champlain is. She truly loves what she does and it shows.

I've been seeing Dr. Runyan as my PCP for a long time and have always been happy with how she handles my healthcare. If necessary, she refers me on to the right place or person to handle any issues. She is pragmatic about meds and diagnosing any problems. It's solid, and reliable care, which is exactly what is needed, and missing with other providers.
Also, I wanted to say that Mary, in referrals, has been extremely helpful since I have been on this new HMO.
She has made this somewhat ridiculous process much less painful, and has been easy to reach, which for me, is huge!

Exceptional doctors who treat us like people who really care. Even though it is not near my home, I don’t mind traveling to go somewhere where I am listened to and treated with such personal care and concern by each doctor and staff me never I see. No big corporation medicine here, just doctors and staff who take their time to give us the best care possible. Dr. Champlain is nothing short of amazing. She figured out things that no doctor had before. She is so real that it feels I am being treated by a good friend.

I've only been going to South Austin Med for a few months but I'm already thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and and the care I've received. Dr. Babcock is wonderful and the staff is always attentive and courteous when I'm scheduling and getting checked in and out. I especially appreciate having a patient portal where I can communicate with my doctor directly, especially when I have questions about treatment or to ask about something I forgot to bring up during a visit. I hope the excellent care continues and would highly recommend!

Dr. Canon, who is my PCP for the last several years, is an outstanding doctor. Caring, professional and actually takes time to talk with you and treat you like a human being and not a number. I trust him completely and so much so that he was and is the first physician to care for my newborn, who is now 3. Also, since I've talked him up so much, my husband now has him for a PCP too. And his PA, Cassandra is top notch too. Gentle with kids (she recently had her first), and friendly with patients, she's great!

Dr. Canon and his team truly have their patients in mind. Getting an appointment is extremely easy, the nurses and the staff have all been really great to talk to and have a great bedside manner. I would 100% recommend this place to everyone I know in the Austin area.

I was just in this clinic last week and saw Dr. Champlain. She is truly an amazing Dr. who listens to what you have to say and how you are feeling. She then helps you find the right care plan for you and your body. I did not feel rushed during our visit, it felt like home :)

Been going to this place for over 10 years. Ever since I first moved to austin. Love the staff and the doctors. Bedside manner has always been great for me and my family.

I have been going to South Austin Medical Clinic since I was a child. I have seen just about every dr there. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. My dr, Dr. Easterling is just wonderful. She is so patient and kind and always takes time to listen to my worries and concerns. If I am bothered about something from a visit or just have a general question, I can message her on the patient portal, and she will message me back with an answer to ease my concerns. I have been a patient of hers for a long time and I have sent family members and friends to Dr. Easterling. I truly believe she cares about me and my health.

I contacted South Austin Medical Clinic as they were in my network and I needed to see someone regarding referrals and to acquire a primary care physician. The doctor listed by my health insurance agency didn't have any availability within the time frame I was looking for, but they recommended a physician that was newer to their practice who was still in-network and additionally had an available spot for a new patient within that week, so I went for it.

My appointment was at 7:30 AM (I wanted as early as possible to ensure I could make it to work by 9am) with Dr. Calderon and I was instructed to arrive 30 minutes prior to complete required paperwork. I arrived at 7am, completed all paperwork by 7:15 and was promptly called into my appointment by 7:33am.

Dr. Calderon was THE most pleasant physician I have ever encountered. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting, but I was very nervous going into this appointment as you always hear horror stories about patients, in general, not receiving the care they are looking for and my issues, to me, seemed very minuscule as to what I'm sure others could be going in for. Dr. Calderon not only heard me out regarding my numerous concerns, but made me feel like she actually cared and wanted me to get the help I was looking for. There is a presence about her that is very gentle and caring which will keep me as a patient of hers for as long as I am able to be.

I highly recommend Dr. Calderon to anyone looking for a new primary care physician. As for the office staff, I never felt like I was being spoken to rudely nor were they ever short with me. They are there to get my information, process my paperwork and ensure that I am checked in for my appointment and that is exactly what they did.

I’ll keep this simple. Dr Champlaine at South Austin Medical Center, SAMC, is the best Dr I’ve ever had by a long shot. I actually look forward to my visits. I always leave feeling so much better in every way. I’ll never use anyone else. If you need a great Dr to help you with your health and wellness do yourself a favor and make an appointment.

My family loves loves LOVES Dr. Easterling! My husband and our 6 year old just had their appointments with her and as usual, everything went great. Dr. Easterling is thorough, extremely knowledgeable, friendly and a gem of a doctor. Her nurse is terrific too!
Also, there's hardly any wait for your appointment and the front staff is very well organized and polite.

Went to see Dr Jacqueline Champlain at SAMC. The staff at SAMC are so nice and welcoming. Providers are very helpful and professional.The atmosphere is nice, calm, clean and still following Covid19 Safety Precautions.She has been my doctor for the past 4 years and has been the first doctor to actually take the time and help me with my conditions. She’s not a fast in and out type doctor. She listens to you .She is an awesome doctor. Anyone who is seen by her is blessed .

My 15-year-old son is seeing Dr. Todd Canon. He is a very thorough and super friendly physician. My 9-year-old daughter will also see him as her pediatrician, and I've seen him as a primary care in the past. He made my very shy son feel very comfortable. He's very receptive to any questions. He just has a great bedside manner.

The clinic is really well-organized, and everyone is so cheerful and helpful. Plenty of parking and it's easy to find. Nice that lab can be drawn on-site. Never hard to make a sick-child appointment for the same day.
