I have belonged to this church for a little over 18 years. Our first experience was when my daughter’s second grade teacher invited her class to bible school. That summer was the beginning of a journey that taught me I didn’t have to be perfect, I just need too be in fellowship with others.
First Baptist Church and its members have been over the years like family. I believe no church is perfect, but if your looking for a place to learn about Jesus and his love for us(you), then FBC is the place to visit, not just once, several times. Give us a chance to say “hello” and hang out awhile. God Bless.

Wonderful Bible Preaching Church located in Downtown Martinsburg, WV. From the first day we walked in 8 years ago, felt like home. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Many fellowship opportunities, along with great Youth and Children programs. If you are new to the area or don't have a church home, give First Baptist Church Martinsburg a visit.

My family and I started going to FBC almost a year ago. I can honestly say that I've learned more about the Bible in this past year than I had ever in my life. I love the opportunities for me and my family to connect with others and the genuineness of the other members! I feel like I'm part of a family here. My family and I no longer ask one another each Sunday, "do you want to go to church?" Rather, we all want to go and really don't want to miss out! If you are looking for a Bible Based Church that seeks to love others and serve Jesus, I highly recommend this church and hope to see you there!

I was helping a neighbor through the difficult time surrounding the demise of her husband. Her husband's sister and I helped her through the trauma that falls on any us, of being so suddenly alone as the "surviving" spouse. Everyone that we met at First Baptist Church were "totally compassionate and thoroughly Professional" in guiding her through the difficult decisions she faced. There was some genuine very "welcome" of a Community all "coming together" at just the "right time" moments and my neighbor came through it with a great sense of relief, composure & dignity. Thank you very much! Her husband's family made all of us feel at home with a lovely gathering following the services at Hoss' Steak House. Thank you, again!
There was groundwork in forming a strong sense of "belonging" to a church and within 2 years of her husband's passing, with one of her sons, in attendance , she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord & Savior and was "anointed with the Holy Oil" at Full Gospel Pentecostal Church! (another Community church). Pastor Steve, his lovely wife, and all of the congregation members of First Baptist Church, that we've met and now, love so much are now are a living testimony of what it means to be "Christ-like" within the Community! My neighbor got re-acquainted with some friends that she hadn't seen for quite a few years, my husband & I were accepted by First Baptist Church! We truly love & respect all of the people we've met at several of the churches in our Community, all of them have been a true "blessing" to all of us! Thank you just seems so "inadequate" for the "kindness" they have all shared with us. We sincerely appreciate the kindness & compassion shown us since we re-located ourselves from Baltimore, Maryland to Martinsburg, West Virginia. I may be "shut-in, but definitely NOT "shut-out"!

My family and I love FBC Martinsburg!! The people are so loving and the pastor preaches straight from God's Word. He is a wonderful teacher and we have learned so much under his leadership. There are fun events and activities for every age. All are welcome here!

I really enjoyed the service here when Pastor Ed led the church. His preaching was more like teaching. When he retired and interim pastors preached, we just didn’t connect with them and went on a search for a new church.

Not handicap accessible in the slightest. You should not have to feel unwelcomed at a church
