Bluestone State Park

The view is beautiful. The cabins are much nicer than the pictures. There's plenty of space in between cabins so you don't feel like you're squished in with everyone. There is some privacy. The Wi-Fi and cell signal is shotty at best, but we didn't go there to spend all day online. We just wanted enough access to make sure there were no emergencies at home. The showers could be larger. If you're a bigger person, be prepared to bang your elbows. However, the water pressure is better then most hotels I've stayed at! The bed was nothing fancy and I was afraid it was going to be uncomfortable, but I was surprised that I didn't wake up with back pain! Bring extra blankets if you run cold. We brought one and I wish we had one more. The free firewood is a huge plus! We were going to build a fire outside in the pit, but it was rainy so we used the fireplace instead and it was lovely to sit and listen to wood crackle and pop. I forgot the cream for my coffee and was hoping the campground store would have some type of milk product for sale, but they didn't carry groceries. Thankfully there is a grocery store very close buy if you need any food items. There are also a few restaurants if you don't want to cook. We went in fall and it was chilly so we used the heat, which worked exceedingly well! I can't speak for the a/c because we had no need for it. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They answered any questions we had and helped us out as much as possible! They really made us feel welcome! We will definitely go back and would highly recommend the cabins to anyone looking to unplug and get away from the world for a little bit!!!

Truly a wonderful stay. The beauty of the park was majestic. Will definitely stay there again.

My family has visited this place every summer for the last 18 years. We camp, swim, fish and spend quality family time together. My kids have grown up visiting there. Staff is very friendly and helpful, willing to assist with any needs. Plenty of trails to walk with wild life everywhere.

I love to go to visit the state park, it is well-maintained and very close by is the bluestone lake. It has great campsites, wonderful wildlife in the area, and trails to walk and enjoy, beautiful bald eagles are plentiful in this area, how wonderful is this! I highly recommend this state park anytime of the year for a good visit

The is a great park. Quiet, peaceful, great for walking. Excellent cabins and trails. The staff are super friendly. The cabins are VERY clean. Near other hiking, natural beauty, and parks.

A boater's, fisher's, and sightseer's paradise! The kids especially will love camping here, as there is a swimming pool on site. The whole area is also lots of fun to drive through, as the roads are very curvy. Absolutely beautiful area!

Beautiful state park with hiking trails, camping, and a lake. Bluestone Lake is accessible to boats and fishing. Nice gift shop and clean bathrooms are located in the park.

One of the great state parks West Virginia has to offer. The cabins are always clean and cozy

Went on the Overlook Trail - definitely a moderate hike, lots of uphill and some thicker foliage/debris on the path but beautiful little overlook and some fun wildlife around. Definitely watch out for deer ticks.

BEAUTIFUL! We stayed in cabin 19. Awesome view from every window....even the bathroom has a view LOL 😆. Pet friendly cabin. Fireplace with all the wood we can burn. Fire ring outside by the picnic table. There is a charcoal grill outside and a full kitchen inside. No need to bring anything all kitchen supplies are stocked. The park office has the friendliest nicest staff. There are a few supplies and some nice souvenirs available at the park office.

Great park, cabins are well equipped, pet friendly and quiet, ideal to relax. Natural trails and lots of waterfalls

Awesome state park. Very relaxing and peaceful. The cabin we stayed in #24 was spacious and clean. Everything worked and there was more tan enough firewood. The staff was also great and nice.

So glad we walked all the way to the end of the boardwalk. Absolutely worth it. We were there at sunset in June and it was magical.

Beautiful place with lots to do nearby. Hiking, boating, exploring nearby historic Hinton. Comfortable cabins, lovely views, quiet solitude. A good base from which to explore the region.
