Little Beaver State Park

This is a very beautiful, well kept park. We took lots of pictures, mostly professional photos and found numerous beautiful naturally landscape areas. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their visit with places to swim, picnic, camping and walking. The restroom was out of order but they offered a Port a potty.

Did a driver through at this park, it was 38 degrees outside. I have driven past several now I'm looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy this place. Lovely lake, great spillway. Lots of hemlock and rhododendron. Looks like a great place to relax for awhile.

Cute little lake and park for having a picnic, enjoying nature, or fishing. My son and his friends enjoying walking around the trail and watching geese in the lake.

The playground is lacking, though. It has limited equipment and it is outdated. We don't go here to play on a playground so we don't mind it so much.

I love this park. Beautiful with really scenic views. Wide variety of trails and all levels of difficulty. Not overly crowded. Great for short trips or planning a day.

Picnic area is clean and right by the water so you can eat with a view. Good playground for the kids to play close by.

Some of the trails can be challenging especially if it rained recently. Should go without saying to wear good shoes if your going to take on a longer hike but worth mentioning since some areas can be pretty slick and steep.

I always see a fair amount of people walking their dogs here so if yours isn’t friendly and your thinking about unleashing keep in mind this is a popular place for that.

Lots of wild life but it’s West Virginia so that shouldn’t surprise you. Deer are coming and I’ve never seen a bear but have seen plenty of signs that they have been in the area.

Beautiful little state park along my travel route. It was a great place to get out of the car and stretch my legs by taking a hike around the lake. The trail was flat and well maintained. It was very beautiful. There were many people fishing around the shore of the lake. There was also a boat rental and an ability to put your own canoe or kayak into the lake. No swimming allowed, as far as I could tell. There were picnic areas, an information building, and bathrooms throughout the park. I very much enjoyed my short visit.

Stopped at Little Beaver State Park while taking a drive in the area. It is a lovely park. The lake is beautiful and features a trail to walk all the way around. Good parking, picnic facilities, gift shop, great places to fish. This park is a lovely little gem in our area well worth a visit. If you use a walking stick be sure to stop in at the Gift Shop to purchase a Little Beaver State Park badge to attach to your walking stick showing you've hiked there. All the State Parks are supposed to have them.
Give LBSP a visit. You won't be disappointed. M

Probably the best site we had this season!!!! We had a great pull through, with a view into the forest. Big rig friendly! Nice hiking trails in the park as well as really close to hiking in New River Gorge. Will be back!!!

Our favorite local spot to walk trails. The best trails are back by the campground.

Recently did a quick drive by to this lake. Always feels good to be back here. The lake area, parking , kids playground and overall surrounding were clean and well maintained.

Great place to enjoy a day fishing and spending time with family. Peaceful, relaxing, and clean.

An absolutely wonderful place to spend the day, with hiking trails, walking trails, and playgrounds for the kids.

Great place to camp. Note: if you are in loop #2 you will have a long walk to the bath house. It isn't a issue during the day. But, during the night I actually drove to the bathhouse. We saw lots of deer they are just so beautiful. We had a great fire for smores!!

Beautiful park with wonderful well maintained trails systems, camping, paddleboat rentals, picnic shelters and playgrounds on site. There is always an abundance of wildlife sightings, especially while hiking. :) Beautiful and worth a visit year round.

Beautiful landscape, plenty of picknik tables, full hookup for campers and primitive camp sights also. Great shelters for family gettogather 's or business meetings. A hidden gem of west Virginia. Lake has swimming, paddle boats and several hiking trails. Nicest park I have been to in a long time.

Little Beaver State Park is an amazing place to go to when you want to get away for the day. The lake is really beautiful to walk around and is an easy walk. The area up by the campground is great. They have a playground and a couple hiking trails. There is a cemetary there as well to check out.

A cute little park with great hiking! The lake is pretty and there are several easy trails around the area. Lots of picnic areas and a park for kids. You can rent paddleboats Fri-Sun.

The is a hidden gem! Absolutely beautiful campground if you're looking for a place to get away you have to go here. It's a little ways off the beating path but 100% worth going out of the way for. We only did one night stay because we are traveling and I didn't want to leave I almost delayed my plans to stay for a few more days. MUST GO !!!! Its so peaceful the dear are all over the place. True beauty.
