My daughter (4) & I loved the afternoon high tea event! The atmosphere was nice, the food was delicious & the event had a special ambiance about it. We will enjoy more visits here in the future!

We have attended many events at Clouds over the past few years and have never been disappointed! Yann does an excellent job of presenting a unique, European experience. All the food is made from scratch with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We have attended many wine nights, themed dinners, brunches, and even took a class in the kitchen. A wonderful experience in central Iowa!

I have been to a handful of events here and have not been disappointed. The first thing you notice is the campus view, of course, and the eaurpean influence. They partner with Café El Zapote, a nonprofit that helps Honduras coffee farmers. The owner, Yann, does a great job running the business, interacting with customers, and entertaining patrons during events. Staff does an excellent job as well.

We went to the Easter Brunch today. It was amazing. The food was wonderful. The atmosphere was relaxing and entertaining. And no holiday clean up.

What a great place! The owner was gracious and his personality is reflected in the atmosphere of the restaurant. Classy and comfortable place to enjoy great food and drink.

It was a fabulous experience and plan on making this my regular study spot. Only sad thing is that they're closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Love the view, definitely helps put me in the mood to write and study.

A true hidden gem here in Ames. Clouds offers some of the best espresso drinks 100 feet up above Iowa State, and it's absolutely gorgeous! Definitely worth checking out if you're a student, or just visiting the area. Great study spot too!

Favorite spot to study in Ames!! It was super good cause there’s a bunch of outlets and free wifi. Amazing servers and excellent food!

Great view, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious dessert! My Greek Salad was small but yummy, and my wife's Veggie Lasagna was very tasty! We will definitely be back!

Great coffee place, foods are nice. And the view is the best around. Recommend for dating, chilling, and studying.

Run by a brilliant owner, there is evidence of European influence throughout Clouds. There is an atmosphere suitable for any type of need from a comfy study lounge, to a restruant-feel on the lower level, to an area reservable. A consistent theme throughout with staff that are friendly and a menu unique enough to introduce to new things while not scaring you away. This is a place you can find inspiration with the astonishing views of campus. A new favorite for me to study or meet up with friends.

This is the new coffee shop in Ames! The atmosphere here is great, its not super crowded and you get a beautiful view of Iowa States Campus. Comfortable seating to make you feel right at home and great drinks as well!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Clouds!!!! Coffee, food, employees, and owner are absolutely amazing! Have done breakfast and murder mysteries, never disappointed! So lucky to have this gem in Ames!

This was hands-down the best dining experience I’ve had while visiting our college student. We had brunch, and it was phenomenal. Yann, the chef helped us schedule the brunch and accomidated our last minute request for a special cake. The Brunch was amazing, course after course of fantastic scratch made food. At the end there was even a flambé experience. We will be back to check out their dinner experience. They also had a quaint little area for specialty coffees that I would highly recommend. The view was fantastic as well.

Clouds cafe sports an excellent aesthetic from seating to drinks, where they nail both casual and classy. My friend and I relaxed upstairs, and the creative seating layout made for a very comfortable place to brunch (or study if you're so inclined). I enjoyed a cappuccino with added dark chocolate shavings, elevating an already high quality drink, and dined on a light spinach quiche. Their menu prices are more than fair for the pleasant taste, the handmade quality, and the amazing views. My friend and I were very excited to see their wine tastings events and are anticipating coming back to explore. If you have the time for a sit-in cafe experience, please remember to look up on Lincoln because Clouds is truly a unique European gem in Ames that deserves to be as popular as Stomping Grounds.

Stopped in after dinner for a coffee and Clouds is pretty neat. The views are fantastic, and the menu was great. The staff was all very friendly and proud to be there (refreshing as a lot of other restaurants in Ames are staffed with people that are just there for a "job"). Coffee was good and we will definitely be stopping in for lunch in the near future.

WHERE HAS THIS BEEN HIDING?!? Great coffee spot and great fun at the Murder Mystery dinner! We WILL be back again and again!

Everything in this place is homemade and soooo delicious! The chairs upstairs are extremely comfy to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in. I read about the Friday night Wine Tastings in store today and I can't wait to experience that in a few weeks!

A very chill and relaxing place. Great pastries, food and excellent coffee. My wife and I meet the owner and he's a very down to earth guy with a very chill vibe! Whether u just need a place to study or a place to escape from the world 10 outta 10 would recommend. We will be back!

It is rare in Ames Iowa to find a genuine, European vibe bistro with exceptional leadership, phenomenal service, and outstanding coffee, tea, novel beverages, food, and treats!! Add to that the best view in the city!
