They are so thorough in the beginning to make sure they understand what you want. Plus, the complimentary head massage during your shampoo is AMAZING. The staff are so friendly and kind. I have noticed that if a stylist isn't sure about a procedure, other stylists are right there to help out. Just an all-round great environment.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. If I give Saleen a budget she does her best to work with it. Saleen is so personable and I enjoy every visit with her. I feel like I can give her an idea and she will roll with it, and if she doesn’t think it will look great on me she will tell me (cowlick and bangs don’t go great together). I’m so excited for my next appointment with her!

My 12-year old daughter just had her long long hair turned into a pixie by Morgan, and OMG it wasn’t just a haircut- it was an experience! This girl was so pampered. It was a big change, so Morgan talked to me and her, making sure we were all on the same page, reviewed pictures, and got my daughter’s full OK to proceed. They chatted the entire time, while Morgan took special care to give my girl a perfect cut. She educated us on styling and product. I couldn’t have wished for a better experience. A+++ Studio7 and Morgan!

We booked a makeup appointment somewhere for a wedding and when they didn't show up to the appointment, we found Studio 7 - when we called to see if they had any availability, they were so kind and helpful! Studio 7 got us in right away, they allowed us to bring in a bottle of wine from The Cafe next door (for the bride's nerves), and were so patient as the whole bridal party stood by to keep the bride supported! The woman who did her makeup would show the bride the progress after every step, asked all of the questions to ensure the bride was getting exactly what she was looking for, and the finished product was beautiful! Our bride look absolutely stunning for her wedding day!! We can't thank Studio 7 enough for their kindness and perfection.

Morgan does a great job and is informative. I leave the salon feeling extremely confident with my hair. Ever since visiting Studio7, I've been able to take better care of my hair.

The staff at this salon is very happy and professional and I am more than overjoyed with my new haircut. I went in to cut my very long hair and donate a ponytail for wigs 4 kids. Even though my google booking did not go through they accomodated me right away and the hairdresser knew exactly how to cut the ponytail to donate and how to style my hair after it was cut even know I was not able to explain exactly how I wanted my new short haircut to be. I have never been this happy with a haircut before and I am not easily pleased when it comes to my hair. I recommend this salon 100%. They styled my hair before a wedding two years ago and they did an awesome job too.

Abby did an Outstanding job trimmeng my hair. I was extremely impressed on how she made sure everything she did was the way I wanted my hair trimmed.

Glad I discovered Abby at SS 7 - North a few years ago. She does amazing work, very friendly, and very affordable. SS7 is always extremely clean and ALL the staff are very friendly. I always enjoy getting my hair cut there and don’t plan on changing any time soon. Cheers - Evan

This is extra important to me right now as I will be getting married next weekend! I was in a couple months ago and, the stylist, Casey did an awesome job. After mentioning this visit was my haircut for our big day Casey made sure to take some extra time to make every last bit perfect.

I've been going to Studio7 since its opened and I just love the atmosphere and hair stylists so much! They are all extremely friendly and attentive to your needs. I have honestly never been disappointed with how my hair has turned out! I believe they strive to be the best hair stylists they can because I always see them working on their continuing education to stay the most up to date with styles and what their clients want and need. I've seen so many amazing transformations that just blow me away. I definitely recommend checking them out if you are looking for a great Salon in Ames. We had the pleasure of working with Saleen while we were there. She cut my 6 yr olds hair for the very first time and she was incredible! She listened to what my daughter wanted for a cut and even pursuaded her to skip the bangs, something I had been unable to accomplish before hand. The haircut was perfect, my daughter loved it! The salon is very clean and professional as was the staff. There was enough room for both my husband and I to sit and enjoy the experience with our daughter. I would highly recommend Studio 7 Salon and Saleen!

I started going here after getting my hair cut at Great Clips for years. The customer service here is top notch. As a male hair cutting can be fairly easy but every time I have been in here the stylist have asked what I was looking for and stop periodically to ask if that is looking okay. That way it is not too late to say that is not what I wanted. I trust them because they are always updated with the latest trend and style. They are honest and friendly and I highly recommend them.

Love this place! I am very particular about my hair and have serious anxiety when it comes to trying out a new Salon. Krista made my experience great and set me up with one of her best employees to set me at ease. Everyone in the store was friendly and took great care of me! I've visited the salon for 1 year. Katie did my haircut. It was a great experience. Katie was very helpful and attentive to all my questions and requests. Moreover, she was the first hairstylist I've ever visited who suggested me to try a new style of haircut and it had turned out great! Since then I've been doing this haircut and I really like it. I would continue to go to this salon if we hadn't moved from Ames.

I have never been a regular at a salon before this one! I started out going to get my nails done because they weren't healthy (breaking and peeling) and I was tired of looking at them. After one appointment I decided to go back to get them done every 2 weeks since. Jackie and Mozhan are the best! They make me feel welcome and excited to go every time!
After a couple months I got to know Mozhan and I had talked to her about cutting my curly hair. I can count on one hand the times I've been satisfied with a hair cut. Well Mozhan exceeded my exceptions! She took my request for a dry cut and took her time and used her magic to give me the best hair cut and style!
Can't recommend this salon enough!

After being cautious for 6 months I decided I absolutely needed a haircut and color. I was struggling finding places who took precautions to a level I was comfortable with and I am so thankful that studio 7 as looking out for the best interests of their guests and employees. This is by far the best salon in Ames. The staff communicates products and styles clearly, they truly care about their clients, they are knowledgeable and up to date on trends, and the facility offers numerous services in a comfortable environment. My kids and I have been to many of the stylists there and we always leave happy!
