Super 8 by Wyndham Metropolis

Awesome, super friendly staff. The room had a super soft king bed and was clean. Indoor pool was open and clean as well. A Lil Mudd work and fresh paint would make a great difference in the rooms.

So I crashed here after driving 8ish hours on minimal sleep. Check in was fast and efficient. The room is ya get what you pay for, but I have no complaints. Shoutout to Barbara. She knows her job inside and out. She also directed me to a local place for a nightcap. If I happen to drive through here again, I'd stay.

I booked a last minute stay here. For those who leave bad reviews only..shame. You get what you pay for. Go to one with more stars. My stay here was more accommodating than a lot of higher end suites I’ve stayed. The staff member over night provided us with adjoining rooms which was amazing so we could all hang out together. And then the staff member the next day let us stay a bit later for our kids to swim. You don’t get customer service like this in many places.

The room was clean. The owner was friendly. It was in a good location.

We are cigarette smokers and we always stay at Super 8's because they still have smoking rooms. This room was by far the cleanest smoking room we have stayed in. It did not even have smell to the room. Very impressed. The staff are amazing and super friendly! Very spacious room. Clean bathrooms! Clean parking lot and lobby!

Probably the best Super 8 I’ve stayed at. Very clean, updated, not run down at all, nice pool area, friendly staff, excellent price! I travel for work and spend at least 2 night a week away from home. Super 8 hotels are typically somewhat questionable, this one was a pleasant surprise. I don’t understand any bad reviews…..you can’t compare it to a Marriott or any other upscale hotel….it’s a Super 8. They are not supposed to be luxury. But as far as Super 8 hotels go….this one is top of the class!! Definitely will stay here again when I’m in the area!!!

Awesome hotel for the price. Mini fridge in the room and an actual TV. The basic room with king bed also has a small reclining chair and decent sized Desk. No overhead light but the four lamps are fine (one on a wall switch). Room was clean and had no odors. I also liked the pictures from the local state park..

We stayed here during the annual Superman celebration and we booked the Super 8 for 3 nights. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and everything was in very good repair. The free breakfasts offered a good variety and even with special dietary requirements that I have, we found plenty of things I could eat. The room rates were very good, and we have decided that it will be our go-to hotel for all future Celebrations.

My great-niece, sister and I stayed her for 2 night and three days. We had the best experience. The staff was wonderful and the room was clean, comfortable and made us all feel right at home. We will all stay there again!!!

They had a pool and hot tub. It was crowded, because there was only 1 room left. They have a huddle house across the street you can walk to and a Quiznos. Being a fan of comics and super heroes I loved that they had Superman memorabilia. I would stay there again. They were friendly and rooms were clean. The pool was indoors.

Our room was nice, updated, clean, and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here when we are in Metropolis. Worthy of 5 stars for value, quality, and great service. Allows pets!!!!

I stayed during Superman Celebration 2019. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and without issues. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast or pool, but the essentials I needed were there.

I had a wonderful experience at the Super 8. The room were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was incredibly helpful. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Metropolis.

Very nice Super 8. Nice area, reasonably priced. Clean, well kept. We typically do not stay at Super 8 but were pleasantly surprised. Ref and microwave included. Would stay again.

Clean room, great rate and within a easy walking distance to Huddle House restaurant. Have to love this hotel!

While I stayed there took in all the Superman sites and really enjoy that!

Smoking rooms available. The King mattress was very comfortable. Friendly. Clean.
