Elgin Fresh Market

This is one of my favorite grocery stores, they are very reasonable with their prices and especially their produce section. I got a bunch of produce to use for juicing and some extra other things and I only spent $40. If I went to Walmart or jewel I would have spent way more.
They have really good warm food, I love their Flautas and their rice is my favorite Spanish rice. Their churros are the only churros I like from what I’ve all tried.

Updated and Under New Management

I have lived in Elgin for my whole life and I have always visited the Fresh Market on the East side and always avoided the West side store. The West side store always had a bad reputation and that is the reasoning I would never visit. However, I moved to the West side for over a year now and I thought I would give the West side store a chance. I visited the store and I was so amazed by how clean they have the overall store. They have an updated layout which is also amazing. You can definitely tell that there is new management due to the many cosmetic changes the store has gone through in the last few months. With the new layout changes, you can see the store has more light coming in and it’s not so dark and it doesn’t feel as crowded. I have not been back to the East side store as I now really enjoy the shopping experience on the west side! I urge everyone who had doubts about this store, to give them another chance and visit it themselves to see all the new updates and experience the new shopper experience.

Their Taco Tuesday’s are awesome! $1.25 per taco!

Excellent fruit and vegetable selection. Top notch butcher and deli cuts. Clean store with helpful friendly service and plenty of parking. Scrumptious bakery items too!

I stopped in here on a whim looking for some supplies for Thai curry. I wish I had stopped in when I moved to Elgin 2 years ago. This place has an amazing produce department. It looks like it is a third of sales floor. They have gained a new loyal shopper.

I do not visit this place very often but when I do it is mainly because of the bakery shop inside the store we has great cakes and sweet bread Mexican style it’s delicious I love going here

Fresh Market offers bright, beautiful produce and tasty Mexican specialties, both ready to eat and ingredients to prepare at home. I especially like the fresh meats, fish and poultry, some of which are unique to certain countries and regions. Fresh Market also houses a branch of Azteca Bakery, offering the finest in traditional Mexican breads and seeets.

There prepared/to go food is delicious. I love the Chiles rellenos, the Mexican rice, the carnitas and the pollo a la leña

Great selections of everything. The freshest fruit & veggies. Great meat selections & already cooked foods. Very nice & friendly staff. So clean! Oh, & the bakery:)

My fiancé and I moved from Minnesota where we’d go to co-ops. Elgin fresh market is definitely our new place. Not only does it smell good and have quality produce, the prices are also unbeatable. Thanks Elgin Fresh Market, you’re the reason we’d like to stay in Elgin.

Thank you for the good prices this holiday weekend and keeping the arrechera on the low end. Hopefully we can overcome the hard times by shopping at our local markets that take care of their customers

This place is clean, well stocked with products I need for the Filipino dishes I like to prepare. Prices are lower than the larger chains. Best selection of hard to find meat products!

Their rice, beans and carnitas are excellent. Better than some restaurants, I highly recommend it. The produce is fresh and they have different selections.

Elgin Fresh Market is a delightful place. I can find almost anything I want. The variety of food products is unrivaled. The produce is fresh and diverse. Amazing.

Very clean good food everything is up to date we drive all the way from Madison to visit family here and always do our shopping on the way out of town.keep up the good work people.
