Log Cabin Steakhouse

I loved everything about this place. From sitting at the bar and enjoying a French 75 and listening to their amazing piano man to the full meal experience, it was a night to remember.

We started with the flaming cheese which a must get experience. Our waiter, Andrew, is a notch above when it comes to service. The funniest part is getting fresh ground pepper. That's the biggest grinder I've ever seen!

Our food was great. I had the side (huge) salad with a side of the best anchovies and the cod. It was so delicious, cooked perfect and served with butter.

The dessert options are great but we had stuff at home. Next time I'll have the Brandy Alexander.

We will be back.

My husband and I had a great experience at Log Cabin, and I would recommend it to anyone! The staff was wonderful - very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was incredible, truly the best steak I have ever eaten. There’s also something to be said for the owner, Dino, greeting the guests himself at the front of the restaurant. A true class act. We will absolutely be back!

I would leave 6 stars if I could! This was my favorite meal in Galena. Taylor, our server was incredibly sweet and attentive. Our food was amazing, and the cocktails were superb. I cannot wait to go back!

Absolutely enjoyable evening! This was our first trip to Galena and our first time visiting the Log Cabin. From the minute we walked through the door-- it was obvious service was a cornerstone to their business.

An excellent steakhouse. The giant prime rib was well seasoned and delicious. The Greek style lamb chops were perfectly cooked and substantial. We also had the flaming cheese appetizer - so fun and tasty. An excellent experience!

Camped out in front of the restaurant until they opened at 4pm on a Sat since we didn’t have a reservation. Seated right away. A little old and dark but the decor is nice. Ordered a strip steak with baked potato and filet topped with blue cheese and French fries. Both came with house salad, also received complimentary relish tray and fresh baked bread. Steaks were cooked perfectly and it was more then enough food!! Washed it down with a stiff house old fashioned - delish! Definitely will be back, definitely will make reservations, definitely a don’t miss when in Galena!

This restaurant, in my opinion, is as close to a Michelin star restaurant as one can get in Galena! I have never had a bad meal here. The food quality is 5 star, the service is impeccable and the cocktails perfect. Dino, Sammy and their father, Frankie Rigopoulos are hands on owners who ensure customers are treated exceptionally well and you leave with a smile on your face. The wait staff is always accommodating and take the extra step to make your dining experience one you won't soon forget. The sakanaki is the best I have ever eaten and always look forward to enjoying it when I am visiting. The steaks are always cooked to perfection! I have enjoyed everything from steak to fish to chicken and its always been top quality. I suggest you make reservations in advance and if your in Galena your missing out if you don't stop in and enjoy a delicious meal and great cocktails and some friendly conversation.

There were some minor critiques I could provide regarding the food, but of all the places we've eaten in Galena, this is probably where I'd be most likely to go back or recommend to a friend. The fried cod was the absolute best I've had in the area and the portion was massive. The burger was a tad overcooked, but still delicious. You could tell it was a high quality burger. Bottom line, if you are looking for a great old fashioned supper club experience, look no further.

We always frequent the Log Cabin when we are in Galena! We have been dining here for years for both dinner and various celebrations!!! This past weekend we ate dinner there again! The food was fantastic and the staff were exceptional! Our server, Andrew, was very attentive and responsive! My wife and I both had the surf and turf with the filet being prepared Grecian style (no other way to have your steak)!!!! Overall, great experience! Thanks again Dino for a great evening!!!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! This place compares to SW Steakhouse and other top Steakhouses! I got the steak it was tender, juicy, perfectly cooked, this steak was an 9.2/10 close second to Sw Steakhouse in Las Vegas which gets a 9.5/10 I also had fries which were very crispy and had nice seasoning (a hand cut goodness) it came with salad and YOU NEED TO GET the garlic dressing with it! They had great service they didn’t rush nor ignore us, staff were friendly and gave me a free t shirt.Overall you need to come here this was one of the top 10 meals I’VE EVER HAD!

This restaurant is extremely busy, with at least an hour's wait before you can be seated. While we were there, it was standing room at the bar only. Do not expect to park at the restaurant. You will have to park elsewhere and walk. Some of the businesses with larger parking lots will sell you parking, and if you get the "right" one the restaurant will take the cost of the parking off your bill. The food was extremely good and the ingredients are locally sourced. It is also very expensive and many of the other patrons will be drunk from waiting at the bar for so long. The food was excellent and well worth the wait. I would go here again, but would check to make sure there were no festivals/special tourist events at the same time to reduce my wait time. The restaurant was very clean even with the high volume and the servers all seemed very experienced. I would not take a child here, especially a toddler. It's more set up for adults. If I were a wheelchair user I would call in advance for accomodations. As the building is older, some of the doorways are a little narrow.

My friend and I came here last night after coming in from Chicago, IL! We were pleasantly greeted by Dino and Sarah H! They made us feel welcomed from the moment we stepped inside. They took our name down (it was really busy) and found a table as soon as possible. Dino had a really good attitude and personality! Definitely makes the place approachable. We almost decided to go somewhere else without a wait but the personality sold us. Our waitress was Jennifer. Definitely a 5 star waitress! She was SO personable, welcoming, attentive, and chatted with us about the area! She kept checking in on us throughout the night. I really appreciate the service from her and will stop by again if I’m in galena.

Five of us dined, Saturday night. The food was dynamite, the Greek lamb chops, the Kabobs, and the Salmon were all excellent. The Greek chips were ok, get a potato. Salads very good. Also loved the relish tray with cheese.
Our server was great, wish we could remember his name and, we loved the piano player and the atmosphere.

This restaurant is top notch. My partner and I visited based on several YouTube videos of top rated restaurants in Galena. The prime rib was outstanding and the salmon was excellent as well. Make sure you also get the Saganaki.

We loved this place! From the second we walked in the staff was welcoming. Our hosts, Dino and Sarah were lovely, and our waitress Jennifer went above and beyond. She was so sweet, and even brought us extra radishes to snack on.

* Completely booked for the night so they opened early to serve more patrons! Including us, thank goodness!
* An owner greeted us at the door! Always a good clue to a great dining experience!
* Our waiter, Sergio, said he would treat us like guests at his own home, and boy did he!! Scraped crums off our table between courses..I LOVE THAT!
* Salmon and Pork Chop prepared Greek style were our best EVER!
* Relish tray with cheese veggie dip and a loaf of fresh warm bread to start...are you kidding me? Yum!
* Carrot cake with ice cream...Again, you gotta be kidding me!

Excellent food and service. I had the beef shish kabob and it was so good. My husband had the Grecian Lamb chops and they too were delicious. The decor is odd. For a Greek place they have portraits of John Wayne and AL Capone. But the food and the Malbec is amazing.

Easily one of the best dining experiences of my life. From the atmosphere, to the service, to the food, Log Cabin is FANTASTIC! Thank you Dino and staff. The 10 oz filet mignon might be the best steak dish anywhere! The saganaki was delicious. The best restaurant in Galena, OPA.

we had the best dinner ever last night at the log cabin! Don our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful and could not have provided better service. He deserves a raise. The saganaki was spectacular and bottle of wine was delicious our prime rib the best I've ever had and I have had myself a lot of prime rib in my day. We shall return and enjoy your hospitality again... And again
