A real jewel in the heart of Elgin. Great place to run to if your out of some basic groceries. Carnitas, tacos, and menudo are all delicious as well. The owners are real nice people. Wish they sold bags of ice.

If you're looking for great carnitas or babacoa you have found the right place. Every weekend, they serve fresh and hot meat, which you can also get rice and beans. If you're just looking for quick items, this is the place to be.

Been going there all my life!! It's got excellent food, meat is very tender, seasoning is perfect!! Family owned, very friendly and the service is fantastic!! You must try this place, you'll want to keep coming back!! Hope they're around for years to come!!

I am not a Carnitas lover however, I can definitely taste how good these are. They are better than any other I have tried in Elgin. I also really liked the Gorditas I ate there. I highly recommend

Been coming to this place since I was a kid and the food there is good. Always friendly people and good neighborhood store. Owned by the same people since the 70's . Definitely need to try out there gorditas and carnitas.

Good food, authentic Mexican cuisine.

The barbacoa is superb! Way better quality than any other place I've been to. It's over an hour round trip and I make that trip to bring home the barbacoa for breakfast. It's well well worth it. English or Spanish they got you covered.

Can't say enough about this place. Carnitas are top notch. Gorditas are amazing. The ladies in the back are sweethearts.

This lil place is amazing, they have a variety of imported products that are quality, the food is delicious, they have carnitas, menudo, gorditas,, etc.. etc... highly recommended ....
