Cornerstone Used Books

I loved that it has that" old books" smell. For me personally, I love that. But here I feel it's not very overwhelming. You get a hint of it. To be honest, It didn't look like a typical second hand bookstore! The shelves are clean and neat and well ordered. It is very much organised and you can easily browse..there are also chairs to sit on. Will definitely be back! I got a surprise set of books that I found quite worth the price! There are also free books at the entrance on the left

Always helping me search for specific books for my book club! Pretty good selection. Sometimes even willing to call you if a book comes in!

During a quick visit to Chicago, I decided to stop into this place and was sure glad I did. The staff was very friendly. I found their selection to be quite expansive for a store that doesn't seem all that large. Compared to other used bookstores I've visited, I found their prices to be extremely reasonable. Will definitely visit again if I happen to be in the Chicago area.

The books are always high quality. Excellent selection of brand new books and classics of all genres. They also have a selection of CD's, DVD's, and they use part of their store to physically stock Cheap Kiss Record's inventory. They do offer a good vinyl selection, some cassettes and 8 tracks, and the odd LaserDisc or two. They do accept donations as well, if you are looking to pass on some books/media. Cannot recomend this store enough.

Organized, fair prices, great selection. I'll be back!

■Every section you'd find in a used book store; fiction, science fiction, business, classics, kids books, etc.
■Friendly staff
■They offer a frequent buyer card, so ask about that 😉

The first time I visited Cornerstone Used Books was with my 3 baby sisters (10, 8, and 7). We all found books we couldn't wait to read and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be regulars.

Lots of different books to bowse over. They have a great selection and the staff is very nice. My favorite place to buy books. They also accept books as a donation and give you a certain percentage credit

The staff was very helpful in helping me look for a book that was not in a common section. She was very patient with me and truly helped me solve my "puzzle". Thank you so much for having staff that cares about the customer.

What's not to love in this place? A quirky, local bookstore with a healthy selection, friendly staff, and reasonable prices! Stir in an amazingly liberal "trade-in" program and you've got yourself the best independent bookstore in the area!

A great little bookstore. Lots of newer books, reasonably priced. They have chairs scattered here and there around the store so you can sit and have a read.

The store has moved 3 doors down. Much bigger space! More books, more space, easier to browse. I feel like I'm in a mini-Borders with friendlier service and better prices!!

Friendly staff, LOTS of older paperbacks and vintage vinyl. Great local place to shop.

A classic example of the privately-owned used book store, Cornerstone is an amazing treasure tucked away in Villa Park. With a huge collection ranging from pulp scifi paperbacks to gorgeous hardcovers, there's something for every book lover here.

Always a great experience going to this comic shop. Owner always has the things I need or want ready for me. I would recommend this store to anyone.

Huge range of well organized books, music, and movies. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I have never left empty handed!
