Casco Bay Furniture

My wife and I knew we wanted a leather chesterfield sofa and we looked for many months at many stores. We also did extensive research on line and knew there were certain things we absolutely had to have reference the construction, seating, leather quality, etc. I stumbled on multiple reviews or comments about Casco Bay and that is how we found them. From the time we were ready to order until it arrived, they anticipated roughly four months, give or take. The sofa was done in 2 and delivered just after the holidays about 6 weeks after being completed. 3.5 months start to finish. It is absolutely what we wanted. Color, texture, comfort, etc. It is beautiful. I hate to admit it cost what my first new car cost in 1985, but it is definitely higher quality than the car was. Would recommend them to anyone for any quality furniture needs.

I was a bit nervous about ordering a custom sofa online. However, Kristina was super helpful and put my mind at ease. We are thrilled with our new sofa!

Now for the details about the sofa we purchased.

We chose the Madison (108"W x 42"D x 35"H) and decided to go with 3 seat cushions (firm spring down).

The firm spring down cushions are actually very comfortable and give a good amount of support for my bad back. I was worried that they might be hard, but I found them comparable to our medium firm hybrid mattress.

We opted to go with 3 seat cushions so that we could swap them around. I tend to sit in the same spot and I was concerned about one spot showing more wear than the others.

As for the color, we ended up going with Echo Fawn. Mont Blanc Sycamore was also on our short list. We received cuttings of both leathers and Kristina was patient and accommodating when we changed our minds.

The 42” depth is perfect for our family. I think it would have been a little too deep for us if we had gone with 46” depth. To give you an idea of the 42” depth, I can comfortably sit criss-cross applesauce on our sofa and I am 5’7” tall.

Kristina was helpful during the ordering process and I never felt like she was trying to push me into ordering something more expensive. I had a long list of questions and she was very knowledgeable.

My order was split into 2 payments. I believe the first payment was ⅓ of the balance due and the remaining balance was due upon completion of the sofa.

As far as the delivery and time frame goes, I finalized my order on Nov 7, 2021. The sofa was completed in February and we received our delivery in early March. I received emails updating me on the progress of our sofa and the delivery company was easy to work with and professional.

Overall, I would highly recommend Casco Bay Furniture and I hope my review is helpful to others who are in search of the perfect sofa!

I purchased a Madison take apart couch in Brompton leather and upgraded the cushions about three years ago. I literally spend most of my time at home on this couch vs my bed or other chairs and consider it the best investment for comfort and style I have ever made. I was worried that the reviews weren't real and disappointed not many people put a review after they had their couch for a while. I can tell you that my couch is still looking as good as the first day. The leather is broken in a little with our natural oils but there is no sagging in the padding or frame. Any company we have to our place always love the couch and we have had it used as a bed many times. If you're looking for a Restoration Hardware style but want better quality leather and construction then I would highly recommend Casco Bay. Even though I live in Brooklyn I bought it without seeing their quality, the take apart was able to fit in my small prewar apartment elevator and hallways. Another friend just purchased the same couch for his family, I only wish there was a returning customer discount. I do hope they was more pictures or videos of the couch when I purchased it but I can not rave enough about this couch.

We bought the Manchester (Petite) sofa and two matching chairs in the Brompton Cocoa. Ordered about four weeks ago and delivered today.

The delivery guys were outstanding.. they carefully unloaded the furniture, and placed it where it needed to go.

The furniture is absolutely superb and oozes quality. I have to say this is, by far, the best furniture purchase we've ever made. Cheap? No. If you want cheap, low quality stuff go to Rooms to Go or the mall. If you're looking for quality top grain leather furniture, built by hand in the US, using top tier materials... get Casco Bay.

Was originally looking to buy the Restoration Hardware (RH) sofa and chairs, but "Made In China" and not knowing exactly how the frames were made left me with an uneasy feeling.

CascoBay is 100% American made.. by people that obviously know what they're doing. We went with a couple of upgrades to the cushions, so we spent a tad more than the discounted price at RH.. but, CascoBay shipping was free, so I think Casco actually beat RH in the end. Also, we were able to get the extended warranty at no charge.

I can't say anything bad about the furniture except we may have been able to go a bit wider than 96". But this has nothing to do with the furniture... just my nervousness about buying something too big.

Delivery was estimated at 6 to 8 weeks.. the furniture arrived earlier than projected... at the end of 4th week. The family area now smells like a tack room.. the leather smell is spectacular.

We may end up buying the matching ottomans as well.

Robert is very patient... I had so many questions before buying, I was sure he'd lose his patience. But anytime I called, he answered every question I could throw at him.

Definitely a legitimate place to by top quality leather furniture.

I bought a leather tufted couch from Casco last year for my law office. After all, what is a law office without a red tufted leather couch? I had previously contacted all furniture stores in my locale to no avail. So I took the plunge and spent a whale of a lot of money on the couch sight unseen on the Internet. Not only did Casco respond to my order in a timely manner and offer input on my choice, they broke up my payments into 3 installments. 6 or so weeks later here came the couch. Simply marvelous! Clients rave over the couch all the time. I've been known to close the door to my office and nap on this couch. I had a great experience dealing with Casco! No my brother-in law does not own Casco!

We purchased a Madison (Maxwell) sectional with a chaise on the end from Casco Bay Furniture. We chose the Brompton Cocoa leather and upgraded to their Ultracel Spring Down Cushion. I just absolutely love it! The cushions are so comfortable, both plush and supportive and the leather looks thick and luxurious.

The sectional arrived last Wednesday. It took about 8 weeks after ordering to be delivered. The customer service was fantastic. We were kept informed of the progress of our order by Kristina, who was both informative and pleasant to work with. The delivery men were also excellent. We had a four-hour window for delivery. They arrived about an hour early, but called to see if it was okay. We live down a private road that is narrow and hilly, so we had to make three trips in my trailer with the drivers in tow. No complaints from them! The furniture was wrapped in the original factory packaging and blanket wrapped by the deliver guys. The sectional arrived in perfect condition!

The sectional is everything we expected and more. We couldn't be more happy with our purchase. We would recommend this company and their furniture to anyone who wants a really well made American product with excellent customer service.

I’ve had my Manchester for 10 years and many many large dogs jumping and sleeping on it, and multiple moves. It’s still a quality heirloom piece that looks and feels incredible, and it’s made in the USA of very high quality materials. Great customer service too. I look forward to buying a second piece with them soon.

I just received my new chesterfield leather sofa from Casco Bay and I am thrilled with it. What a great value! It was a little pricey for me but this will probably be the last sofa I will have to buy. I've had sofas that were a bit less expensive before but they were nowhere near the quality of this sofa. I only just got it, but I feel confident that This is a sofa built to last. It's solid and appears well constructed with beautiful heavy leather. It's really finely crafted and super comfy! I was a little leery of purchasing without seeing but I read good reviews and I'm glad I made the leap of faith to purchase this sofa. I don't think I could have found a nicer one. My husband, who I expected to be ho-hum about the sofa, looooves it. Normally, he would just say, "I guess it's ok, but you paid too much". Instead, he hasn't complained once about the price, since it got here...so you know it must be nice. Also have to say that delivery service was very good. It was a tricky delivery up a very narrow exterior stairway and balcony and through a small slider into our second floor apt. They put thought, effort and care into getting that sofa in here safe and sound. It was quite a job! BTW, folks stopped to admire it while it was being delivered and asked where I got it. Anyway, just wanted to say how pleased I am.
