Big Boy

Our party of six stopped in here on Easter Sunday as it was one of the few places open. All of the staff members we interacted with were great and did an excellent job.

Several people in our group had never been to a Big Boy before and were really surprised at the wide variety of options on the menu. Everyone found something to their liking and all of the food was great.

In the current times, with the overall experience of eating out being less than great, it was nice to enjoy a meal in a restaurant again!

Always yummy! Only 4 people working the restaurant but they were working hard and busy with smiles. They all deserve a raise and pat on the back! Great job all! Slim Jim's were terrific 👏

My first visit to a Big Boy. Interesting place clean friendly food hot and delicious. Service was good and fast. I only have 2 recommendations get some Dr Pepper and upgrade your booths not comfortable to set on

& a glass of ice cold milk

Good food friendly staff excellent service. Forget what our waitress name was but she was awesome and checked on us frequently for refills etc. Good workers are hard to come by now but she went above and beyond.

Although the place was very busy and short on staff, our server really hustled to ensure we did not have to wait very long for our meal. It was served hot and delicious!

Hubbies hot chicken was great. I had the chicken strips but they were extremely over cooked and that made them hard to bite into.

I had a really great experience here. Great food and server.

Stopped in for lunch and the food and service was amazing. I only had about 45 mins and the food was fantastic and I had plenty of time to eat and make it out on time.

Waitress was nice food was good, but it took forever and the place especially the bathrooms needed cleaning. It smelled rotten

I forgot to share my experience! I was greeted at the door and immediately led to a table. The server had a smile on her face, especially when I ordered an ice cream treat. The manager checked with me to make sure everything was excellent. It was a nice stop on a travel day!

Understaffed but still got my carry out done in a reasonable time, super fresh yummy food and the manager was helping EVERYWHERE . register, carry out orders, tables, cooking in the kitchen (yes she washed hands) and even got contact info for a potential hire. I was there maybe 25 min and pretty impressed.

The food was delicious! The waitress was very attentive and friendly.

I’m a regular at the Kalkaska Big boy. The best family sit down restaurant in town. The staff are amazing! I have Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and everyone has always been very helpful. I’m very pleased with the food always. I can’t say enough great things about coming here.

Came here to eat while I was visiting from Minnesota. They were out of a few things when I came here to eat like the Philly. But I ordered a Reuben and fries and my girlfriend order triple decker sandwich. Food was good! Waitress was very nice and on top of things and had an awesome personality, but I guess she was only there at that location for the weekend. Overall no complaints and would recommend!!
