I have been a patient here for several years. I have always had excellent service. My needs and concerns have always been met in a timely manner.

Dr. Frieze and her staff are awesome. They listen to me, and do a great job of helping me understand my differenct medical issues.

The medical gaslighting and sheer unwillingness to listen to patients at this establishment has been traumatic, to put it mildly. Denials of medications - no controlled and non addictive - as well as refusal for referrals that were recommended by other specialists has left me with major, debilitating issues and a fear of calling my doctor even when medically necessary. After four years of being treated subhuman, I have finally left the practice and caution all other about ever becoming a patient here. It's the only practice I have ever gone to where a doctor has apologized to me for not properly addressing an issue that then led to hospitalization. RUN.

There is no longer a list of healthcare providers visible on the building (healthcare provider names where painted on the glass and visible from the outside).

In the past, there was a list of the providers in the office for the day. When I was in the office this past week that list was no longer displayed.

Don't go in asking for help. Or expecting it. If you need maintenance medication it's great. Any problems... not worth it. You get pushed off to a different facility.

If you're an existing patient you will be seen fairly quickly. If not, chose another provider as they are constantly changing.

I was billed the full amount for a diagnostic test, called the insurance company and they said “Here’s the PDF of our code book and the page the codes for this test appear on. Your provider used the wrong codes in order for you to be covered.” That was 3 months, 4 statements and 14 messages ago. The doctor and staff are always out of the office, too busy or I guess just plain don’t give a d@mn. I’ve changed providers within St. Joe’s and what an extreme difference for the better. Don’t go here. Something is definitely wrong as reported by myself and quite a few others here.

I had a severe anaphylactic allergic reaction to a medication on Sunday July 18th that put me in the hospital. The ER doctor assessed me, gave appropriate medications to reverse the reaction and sent me home. I was told to call my PCP for an allergy test to confirm the medication I’m allergic to.

I called in and requested an allergy test. I was told that I would have to be “assessed” by the provider before the referral was sent in. I asked the receptionist what the assessment would consist of, as the office has all the doctors notes from my visit to the Emergency Room a few days prior. The receptionist would not answer my question and just kept telling me that they needed to “assess” me.

With that being said, I know the provider wants to have me come in for a visit so they can bill the insurance company, even though they have all the information they need regarding the incident due to the ER visit.

I have been going to this doctors office since I was a child and can confidently say this practice has gone down hill.

I went in April 6 with my wife-bend over and couldn’t walk . We waited patiently to be seen . She was at 10 with pain !!! We went to one the rooms to talk to doctor. She was informed that my wife was in serious pain!!! She didn’t even have the time to actually check were my wife was having pain!!! The crazy thing is she said the Hemorrhoids inside cause the pain !!!! Gave my wife cream. For them !!! The pain was all night and worse !! then we decided to go to the ER the next day !! And then we found out she needed a surgery!! And off course it was not Hemorrhoids!!! she is not going there anymore!! We have changed our provider. It is you’re choice if you like it there , but I am not going there anymore ..... god bless 🙏🦋❤ Stay safe 👍Amen 🙏🦋❤

I went in February for a blown knee. When I was seen the doctor gave me a shot for pain and a few pain meds. These didn’t even touch the pain. Also sent me to their hospital for X-rays. Waited 5 hours and they couldn’t even get all the imaging done. Went back the next week to see what the doctor was going to do since I was getting worse. She thought it was just strained. She should have sent me to a orthopedic doctor immediately. It was MRSA the whole time. When I got in to a orthopedic doctor not in their group I was sent to the hospital within 4days. Ended up in the hospital for 6 weeks because of the Brewer family practice doctor trying to play God.

Poor service. The PA was very rude, unhelpful, and tossed a clipboard at me because he was frustrated with me for not having my records transferred prior to my appointment. I disregarded the other poor reviews for the Brewer location because Saint Joseph's has a solid reputation. I was sorely disappointed. Schedule your appointments elsewhere.

I was a patient for about a year but when I desperately needed to be seen, after trying over a period of a couple weeks, they could not get me in. They acted like they couldn't care less. I called another provider who fit me in immediately even though I wasn't a patient. Needless to say, I changed providers.
