What a great store and such wonderful staff. In the past I bought an electric oven for less than $50.00 and to this day it still is in great working condition. Yesterday I called to see if there were any clothes dryer available for purchase. The clerk there told me there was one coming in Thursday 11/9 then she called back and told me she was doing a run Wednesday 11/8 instead and it should be in the shop between 12p.m.-1p.m. I appreciated that call back and concern of getting our family a dryer at a decent price!!!

Lots of items available to help you save money furnishing your home. I listened to an employee make suggestions to a customer to help them get in on a solid deal on some appliances while they had a trailer available. It wasn't just a blind suggestion to move product. It was based on their needs and what they had available that wasn't out for sale yet. That really impressed me. They could have held out for another buyer with more money, but they gave him options that would save gas, time and rental money for a trailer. Because of this interaction, I will gladly recommend to friends, family and the general public that may need some upgrades or to get them back on their feet.

Lots of variety, affordably priced inventory & friendly service. I was able to find a fancy porch door to replace my aging one. Glad to be helping our environment by reusing/up cycling.

Goodwill and Salvation Army not accepting so redirected to ReStore who took donation and helped carry heavy items. Their store is so clean and attractively arranged.

Its a great place to find and save on used stuff,,,,,,,it also helps them (HFH) part of the business,,,,,,help the less fortunate, it also helps lower income people (me) save and stretch there pennies a little further,,, help those who help us, shop all businesses, help (mom and pop) pass it on to there kids, if big box collapse, we will all bring our stuff to (mom and pop) and buy/trade other stuff, shop small mom and pop, there negotiable,

They do get some nice stuff donated but I feel the prices are a bit high that they are asking. I drove over a hundred miles to buy a small cabinet there. When I got there the whole inside needed to be repaired and repainted and they wanted 40. For the cabinet. I decided I didn't want to pay that much for a cabinet I'd have to bring home and repair myself and buy supplies to repair it.

Hours of operation are not as stated. Only until 4. And intermittently closed for bad weather'. Whatever that means in Maine. Per notices in windows of doors.

In the past, 4+stars. After today's visit? 2 stars. Prices have increased dramatically.

Purchased a twin bed frame recently and they were advertising 25 percent off on all furniture but they wouldn't give me 25 percent off on the bed frame. Manager said the sale was only on furniture they had a lot of?? I always thought a bed was furniture guess not according to the manager!! Not very friendly or helpful!! AND I gave a donation at the same time that was marked at a high price on sales floor after I left!!
Never going back!!

As much as i love that we have a local restore, it isnt that great. I love shopping for materials for a great price along with helping a great cause but the Bangor location doesn't check prices before listing them inside. I have gone inside and they want 15 bucks for a cutoff of sheetrock, which is 15 bucks for a new full sheet. They want a lot of money for arbitrary items, and very rarely ever want to negotiate on price, so it sits in the corner for 6 months to a year collecting dust. I've asked if they accept storm windows, which i have been answered with no, but i walk inside to see storm windows trying to be sold. I do like helping a cause but what exactly does listing items at a price at or above resale value actually help? I like restore but since they moved from Washington St, it has gone downhill. Im edting my review 8/23/23 as i checked out the store again and the prices are worse. Ive seen paint brushes that shouldnt be more than 5 bucks, listed at 20 bucks. Used electrical boxes that are 90 cents new, at 4 bucks. Ive seen a pad of office paper listed for 20 bucks. The windows are terrible, they seem to claim the windows are in new condition but they are bordering 30 years old, the aluminum is either worn or ripped off with the wood fading or rotting, the sash cords are broken off some of them, and they want 90 bucks for them, when they arent even worth 20 at most. There are some half decent ones sitting there with no price but i dont even want to bother asking because im not prepared to negotiate some price thats still going to be atrocious even if talked down. I know peoples opinions on prices are subjective, but in my opinion half the stuff sits there for 6 months until they just throw it out or finally mark it down. Theyre always on the website saying how good business is, but theres hardly anyone there shopping at anytime. I know the store probably wont care about my opinion but they really need to change because it was a great store years ago, and i really dont want them to shut down over the most asinine pricing.

This is one of the worst Restores I've visited, and I've seen at least a dozen. The managers charge budget gouging prices for the most common items: $5.99 for a tube of old caulking, $100 plus for soiled and tired furniture. They apparently think just because corporate box stores doubled or tripled their prices, they should follow suit. Their stuff is half broken and picked over, and they act like they're giving their low income clientele a good deal. Disgraceful and not what Habitat is supposed to be doing. They need a reboot.

Called and spoke to a lady about having couches picked up. Two nice gentleman came to pick up the furniture but didn’t want to scratch the walls so asked that it be taken outside and they would come back and pick it up. Called back and the same lady answered and said “not sure why they would tell you that, truck is done pick up at 2pm” it’s not 2pm yet either mind you. She then says by the way we don’t pick up furniture on the road so we won’t be picking it up. The overall rude nature of this lady is enough to avoid calling this business.
