Residence Inn by Marriott Bangor

Even for a one night stay this hotel was perfect. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The sofa bed in the room was very comfortable. It was a cold night so we asked for a blanket, and one staff member was more than happy to help. The breakfast had a larger selection than most other hotels I've been to. The only negative about the hotel was the odd placement of the TV which was right at the foot of the bed, but that did not take away from our stay. The staff truly care about the hotel and provided us with a more than pleasant stay.

Even though it was a one night stay this place provided a wonderful experience. From the front desk who provided restaurant recommendations, to the clean rooms, comfortable beds and let’s not forget the free breakfast the next day! This place is near a lot of event venues and also close to shops and restaurants

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Bangor for a week while house hunting in the area. Overall, my experience was positive.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, which made my stay more enjoyable. They were helpful with any questions I had and provided excellent customer service throughout my time there.

The hotel's central location was convenient for exploring Bangor and its surrounding areas. It was easy to access nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions, which added to the convenience of my stay.

However, one minor issue I encountered was that parking could be scarce at times. This was a bit inconvenient, especially when returning to the hotel in the evening. It would be beneficial for the hotel to address this issue to improve the overall guest experience.

Despite this small drawback, I would recommend the Residence Inn by Marriott Bangor to other travelers. Its friendly staff and central location make it a great choice for anyone visiting the area.

We were heading up north for the 2024 eclipse and chose this place to stay. Had no idea how nice it would be. Clean, new, rooms are very, very nice. And the attached restaurant "Timber Kitchen & Bar" is also outstanding.

If you are looking for a view this is not the place to stay. But if you are looking for as nice a hotel as you could find anywhere, this is it.

Rooms were clean, front desk staff is friendly and the facilities in general were clean. The hot breakfast is great and there are a good number of breakfast options. Plenty of free coffee.

Very nice Hotel. The restaurant downstairs is excellent, Timber. The host "Dale" was exceptional! He made us feel very special and has a great personality. Thank you Dale!

Just stayed the night for business

Very large modern room/suite style with a couch, good size desk, lighting for meetings and kitchenette with all the necessities.

One of the comfiest beds I've ever stayed in. which, if you're into actually sleeping, is a big deal. Firm enough for my back, but also super soft for side sleepers.

Everything was clean, updated & spacious

Great hotel location. Can't miss with this place. It has a great pool and jacuzzi. Free breakfast nice selection.

This Residence Inn is a pleasant surprise in Bangor. It is a nicely decorated and beautifully done place. The Timber restaurant is a great spot for drinks or a delicious meal. We dined there 2 nights and must say the ribeye was tender and cooked perfectly. The haddock fish as well as the roasted chicken were a big hit as well. My husband's favorite was his dessert and the picture does it no justice. The thought put not only on the menu but the restaurant decor was top notch! We will definitely be back. We recently left an important item in our room and realized it after checking out when we were an hour away. The staff were incredibly accommodating, immediately found the item and shipped it to our home. This Marriott also has an incredible location and the best restaurant in Maine is attached to the lobby. Can't say enough good things about it!

Chose this hotel because we were seeing a concert at Maine Savings Amphitheater. Great location with an easy walk to the venue. The hotel is fairly new so everything was clean and nice. The free breakfast was quite good with some surprisingly tasty hot options as well as a wealth of traditional continental breakfast items. Cold brew and an oat milk option made my day. The restaurant on site was exceptional. The rooms were a little pricey, but we were here on a holiday weekend. Always nice to have a full size fridge and kitchen when you need a low key evening in the room.

Rather expensive yet very much worth the extra funds. The rooms are glorious and the atmosphere is superb.

Really enjoyed our stay this past weekend at the residence inn. I was impressed by this hotel’s cleanliness and our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I even enjoyed the complementary breakfast- something I typically can not say about residence inn. There was nice breakfast sandwiches and vegetarian egg bites. Will be returning next time we are in town. Thank you!

I stay here for work since I work and live in 2 different states. Their employees are extremely helpful and always friendly. The rooms could use some upgrading, and during tourist season, they get a lot of kids who like to run up and down the halls. But after being here a year, you get used to it. They serve an awesome breakfast in the mornings.

We were in the area visiting Acadia National Park and had stayed the previous nights in an old Inn nearby. As we were flying out of Bangor, we decided to stay in town for convenience.

The RI was an excellent choice. Even though the property was 100% booked, every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful.

We stayed in a large corner suite which I highly recommend. Spacious, comfortable and extremely clean with a perfect bed. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen was fully stocked to include a Keurig coffee maker. Just a very nice room.

We had a beer and a snack at the bar, and observed the bar team efficiently handle a full house

The next morning we had the complimentary breakfast and I have to say it was probably the best overall included breakfast I've had in all our travels. Lots of choices, tasty food, super clean area and the lady running the breakfast was excellent. She made sure everything was perfect which I'm sure was no small feat with the hotel full.

So....all in all an excellent stay at a beautiful hotel. We would recommend Residence Inn Bangor to anyone spending time in the area.

I must say that this hotels rooms are absolutely amazing for the price.

Very modern and well ahead of almost all of the other hotels in the city.

Great pool and hot tub setup.

Love the glass walled showers... for appearance and romantic appeal this us definitely a goto destination.

The breakfast spread is the best in the city and not an extra fee...

Looking forward to another stay here.

Friendly staff, very clean, nice restaurant attached. It's right across from cross insurance arena and Hollywood Casino. Easy walking distance. Love the location. Nice hot breakfast too

Incredibly nice staff, they offer many things that I have not seen in hotels such as offering to buy groceries. Staff is incredibly nice which is the maine experience. we are from NYC and we have never felt more welcome. Rooms were spotless, spacious. Checkin was smooth. Breakfast had healthy options as well as hot food. Parking is never an issue and it is in a good location. would recommend this 100%.

Quite the lovely hotel. The rooms have all you need, kitchen, desk, spacious bedroom, vanity, and bathroom. Good layout. Pool, hot tub, gym, and restaurant. It really has all you need. My only annoyance is the TV, the system is super slow, remote to screen is inaccurate and delayed. Also, the products in the bathroom are over scented, made my eyes burn and I got nauseous from them.
Otherwise highly recommend.

As a Marriott loyal I would stay in this hotel. We stopped here to visit the restaurant, Timber which was incredible and not your typical mediocre bar at a hotel.

From what I've read online Timber is THE place to go in Bangor if you are celebrating something special, or just want a great meal. This restaurant is kid friendly for sure and also has a kid menu which they don't have posted online.

When we walked into the lobby of the Marriott we were hit with the smell of chlorine and my kids were hopeful that we would be staying there! The hotel lobby is big and clean.
