Papa Gambino's Pizzas Subs

The food here is good, solidly good, every time. The service is surprisingly good for a small take-out pizza joint. I'm impressed that my husband and I can still have a decent meal for just about twenty bucks. In this day and age, after the prices have sky-rocketed everywhere, getting a good meal for two for $20 is not easy to do.

Absolutely wonderful. A fluffy yet crispy crust on the pizzas. Excellent flavor. I only recently moved into town but this will be my go to pizza place from now on. Great work! Perfect everytime!

Well this place is totaly awsome best pizza ever love the veggie pizza taisted amazing and healthy for you not bad deal at all the place is warm nd inviting the smell lures you in and the price is not bad at all the staff person i met was very friendly and the traist is of course to die for cant ever best pizza

ABSOLUTELY SUPERIOR! The staff always provides me with the best service. Regardless of the time of day, it can be the thick of lunch rush or slightly after when things quiet down a bit, I always am treated like a valued customer! The food is always fresh and delicious, put together well and delivered with utmost care. The one time my order was not correct in the past YEAR I called and the manager Ben, first apologized for my order not being correct and promptly had the correct version delivered quickly. I will always choose my local store over national chains because of the reasons listed above. They APPRECIATE their customers and it shows by the work they do and quality of the food they deliver! Thank you to the crew at Papa G's, I appreciate all you do!

This is a great place good prices long standing history and fresh dough and sub rolls.i had a pastrami and it was great. The rolls are fresh baked and flaky... very nice and light feel to the rolls...I also had 2 slices amazing thin crust great sauce. And it tasted even better cold the next morning which is the true pie test.. Bravo ill be back

The one on State Street is the BEST!!! Always had good service on Hammond St also, called to place an order 1 day and the girl was so messed up you couldn't understand her, so told her I was all set and have gone to State St since!! Best pizza & subs in my opinion, love the flavoring of LG pizza crust, and sub rolls are delish as well♡♡♡

Superb! Best subs in town, made with fresh oven baked sub rolls. Steakbomb is good. Combo pizza is excellent. Ham and cheese sticks very good. Excellent salads as well. This place is a gem. Staff is hard working ready to serve.

Yes. As an eater on many many pizzas this places is phenomenal! Crust was light well cooked with a crisp bottom, sauce is seasoned well withouy and overpowering flavors, kids working we're very friendly and polite! Best under the radar place by far! I'd give 6 stars if I could!

Gluten free pizza was good, and the sub was a good size. Lady at the corner was nice and helpful.

Best pizza I've ever had! My favorite is the cheese sticks with sauce for dipping. I've never been inside because my husband always goes to get our take out but I always tell him to ask to buy a bucket of their sauce. So great! The first time I had papa Gambino's was after giving birth to my first child. It was probably the world's longest pregnancy. When we had our second child in January 2020 I sent my husband to get some more cheese sticks so I could eat them at the hospital. I pushed the boy out at 9:01pm and finished off the box before going to my recovery room hahahaa. Papa Gambino's has a special place in my heart

Got a steak and cheese and it was great. There was plenty of steak and it was tender and juicy. Love these guys. The staff are always happy to see you.

Best hand tossed Pizza in Bangor! Large varied menu, big generous slices to go... They have coffee news? Not much else to say. There's no dine-in, and it's about a thousand degrees in there in the summer, but honestly they could fill the place with scorpions and it'd still be the only NY style pizza I ate in Bangor.

This is literally my favorite place for pizza. It's always great. They don't overload on tomato sauce like some places, and put lots of big pieces of bacon. My wife likes both the pizza and the sandwiches.

Best Pizza in Maine ,I'm from New York and i know what pizza supposed to taste like and Papa Gambino's is the "BEST" PIZZA i have tasted since I've been in Maine.

I just ordered a salami Italian, (with a choice on what type of salami) and a Godfather. They were delivered to me in super quick fashion. They even threw in a whoopee pie, because they're awesome. ( If you don't like whoopee pies, I feel sorry for you.) These grinders / subs / Italian / hoagies, (everyone calls them something different) were absolutely amazing. 'The Coffee Pot' makes a mean Sammich but these, oh these, take the proverbial cake and drive it into your gut with some serious satisfaction.
