Open Flame

Okay, listen. It's always a crapshoot when you take the plunge and go to a restaurant you've never been to. I convinced the hubs to go here and I do NOT regret it! It did not occur to me to take a photo until much of my beautiful plate was consumed, but I grabbed a few photos. This is the braised pork with a tomato mushroom sauce and accompanied by a light arugula salad, and normally garlic mashed but because I'm limiting my starches, I went with broccoli and carrots. It is not often I can say I would eat an entire plate of broccoli, but I would with this!! Perfectly al Dante, with seasonings and just scrumptious. The pork was topped with two bacon-wrapped asparagus pieces, and those went into my tummy really quick...so no pics of those (sorry, not sorry). But the pork...oh myyyy. I happen to have a really awesome husband who happens to be really good at cooking, so that has spoiled me into being a bit of a foodie. This pork is DIVINE!! Tender, almost melt-in-your-mouth, and not a single bite was wasted. I did have to take it home because it is a lot of meat (10oz).

The French Onion soup is served the best way and only way it should be served.. with bread and lots of yummy cheese.

Our server, Samantha, was fabulous and we had NO WAIT...so get over to this place for a great meal with your great company!

We had a great experience from the time that we parked all the way until we left the restaurant. There was no wait, we got a corner booth in a quiet part of the restaurant. Our server Bryan was attentive and catered to all of our orders expertly. The food was fantastic. I had the surf and turf for my entree and my wife had the lobster bisque and crab cakes. We also had the fried mozzarella for an appetizer.

Even the Wisconsin old fashioned I had was great! Thanks for hosting us and I would heartily recommend!

I ate here with my parents on Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy with a wedding, birthday party and main dining room, but not too loud.
My Cobb salad, blue cheese on the side, was very good, not overdressed. The folks went for dinner specials, which come with a nice bowl of soup (choice of two) or a decent starter salad. Both meals (broiled whitefish / roasted pork, served w/ garlic mashed potatoes and fresh steamed carrots and broccoli) were quite tasty.
I wanted to send a shout out to Clinton, who was an excellent waiter. Very attentive, courteous, informative, friendly and efficient — professional. This is the best service I’ve had in a while, so I wanted to share my appreciation, since service will make or break a meal out. Kudos to Clinton!

Open flame is a nice place to sit down and have a relaxing breakfast, everything about the place was perfect for a relaxing start of the day and yes I will go back

The only thing I didn’t understand is the happy hour menu didn’t extend to the outside seating area. Who wants to sit at the bar when it’s nice out. But great food. Great service. Will visit again and again.

My husband and I finally decided to give this place a try after having driven past it on Highway 100 for years on our way to somewhere else. What took us so long?!?! This place is quite large, with a vibe of Greek-restaurant-meets-supper-club-meets-pub. We weren't all that hungry, so we each had a side salad and shared the stuffed mushrooms and garlic chicken wings. With Wisconsin Old Fashioneds to wash them down, naturally! We were pleasantly surprised when a basket of warm bread was brought to our table with a dish of dipping oil. Everything we had to eat was hot and tasty, and the Old Fashioneds were good, too! We arrived at 5:00 when the place wasn't busy yet, but it filled up quickly, especially the separate bar area where a live singer began performing as we were leaving. They have a large patio, as well, with music on Thursday nights. Don't make our mistake in driving past this place on your way to somewhere else. Pop in and you just might discover a new favorite evening hangout!

I must say that Clinton had to be the best waiter at the open flame, let alone the world. His knowledge of the menu and his amazing patience with the kids. To say he was dressed for success, everything from his shirt, to his tiny man bun up top made the night even better. He handled our 14+table very easily. I would recommend the restaurant, but only if he was my waiter. Thanks again Clinton.

Our server, Clinton, was incredible. Very friendly, attentive to our every need, and great communication skills letting us know where he was placing items, and when our courses would be delivered. The steaks were done to perfection, the asparagus was not mushy and overdone, the French onion soup was perfectly seasoned, not overly salty. The salad was cold, crisp, and a nice size serving in a cold bowl. The prices were more than fare and we were not rushed out. The atmosphere was not overly crowded. We highly recommend this local, family run establishment.

Friends and I enjoyed a lovely lunch today. The food was tasty and certainly plentiful. I had the grilled salmon salad and was quite impressed with the presentation as well as the taste. Our server, Malik, was attentive, friendly, and served us efficiently.

Celebrated a birthday here. Food and drinks were great, really fun atmosphere and live music. Would highly recommend!

Always great food at fair prices! We had the most friendly charming waiter, Patricio (or something close to that). Large restraunt, with a bar. Specializing in wood grilled foods.

This is a really nice place with a variety of great food. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Service was excellent. They serve yummy bread. Their soups are delicious. All of our entrees were really good. Great place to take a group with varied food likes. Can't wait to go back.

Our group of 14 sat outside in a well decorated area. One young gal took care of us all . . . and no mistakes. I had a basic fish-fry with potato pancakes and a bowl of clam chowder soup. The tastes were excellent. Everyone in our group loves this place.
Decent prices too. We will be back !

Came in the middle of the Friday dinner rush 11/10. Place was packed. Got seated right away. Our server was fantastic. We came here with 2 kids and she knew all the ways to make dining with wee ones easy! Drinks mid meal came out in 2 minutes! Holy fast! My wife wanted more tarter sauce so after the fast drinks I thought I'd time it...37 seconds! Can't say enough how great the service was. Well oiled machine!

Let's get to the food. Had the pork shoulder, it was super succulent And the mixed seafood. Also great.

For a first time stopping in on a whim not having heard of his place I was very impressed.

I had an amazing first experience thanks to my server! (I want to say it was Pat or something with a P) Can’t quite remember her name but she was young & cheerful with dark hair and genuinely Seemed happy to work here. She made sure I was set in every step of my meal which made me WANT to stay a while and order apps food drinks dessert AND coffee. Host was very sweet also and went above and beyond to help clear my table between courses. I will absolutely be back, and from someone who works in a restaurant as well; OUTSTANDING service 🥰

Had a really enjoyable meal there today with my wife and daughter. Great service, friendly staff. Loved the stuffed mushroom cap apps. We all enjoyed our entrees.
