I retained Holly this past May when I discovered that my now ex-wife was filing for divorce. The one stars on this page must not have an understanding of how divorce works. There are no winners or losers in a divorce. You reach settlement. No more than that should be read into it. Expect the cost. No one works for free. For myself, the whole process was more stress free and thorough than I could have imagined. We were able to work together to reach an equitable settlement through arbitration avoiding the cost of a trial. Because our children are adults, there were no messy custody issues so the process was started and completed within five months. I won't say that I won or lost. There is no such outcome in divorce. I achieved what I had hoped to, and I choose to be happy with that. I will recommend Holly and her team to anyone. Choose to be happy.

Best team ever

Our experience talking with Holly was very pleasant. We unfortunately are on a short time frame and we were led to believe that she’d be willing to take the case as long as we paid the very expensive retainer by Friday. She did provide other legal recommendations that may be a cheaper option. They were not able to accommodate the short time frame. So we decided to go with Holly. We proceeded with obtaining the funds so we could pay by the deadline. Just to be called by her receptionist 2 days later & informed that she was at her capacity and wouldn’t be taking our case after all. A day and a half was wasted. We could have been looking for another legal opinion. Very disappointed she didn’t tell us this herself, and wasn’t upfront with us. Instead all of our time was wasted. This left us with even less time to find representation.

Hired as a divorce attorney! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

As they were not very helpful at all being the EXPERTS that I hired. They charged me copy fees and mailing fees for the same forms the friend of the court sends you and them as well (got it once don't need to PAY to get it twice). When proof reading my response they had miss spelled words in it. But I also got billed for both the lawyer typing it and the legal secretary to proof read it and to fix the typos! Then just to top it all off at the end they couldn't even read a color coded and circle custody schedule and charged me for there stupidity on that.

After multiple phone calls to discuss the billing and why I was withholding almost $500 the only response I got back was in a voice mail that said "I don't see what the problem is. You owe us the money so just pay your bill". Almost 2 years later they are trying to sue me for the money. I asked for a copy off all my invoices and was planning on highlighting what I felt I was wrongly charged for or over charged for in time. After a few weeks I finally received them but still could never talk to anyone about them. WHAT A JOKE.

Horrible law firm. I wish I didn't get myself involved with Verde Law. The secretary answers most of my legal questions. I never see holly. They have left out info that could have saved me a couple thousand dollars. Don't hire her for probate court. Worthless in my opinion. Communication is a HUGE problem with this place.

Holly Verde is the worst person I have ever met. She did not help me in my divorce at all.
