Messina Restaurant & Lounge

Messina is an unparalleled experience all the way from the welcoming atmosphere to the outstanding meals. I have been here only a handful of times, but every time is just as great as the last. It's clear the staff takes pride and a sense of ownership of the restaurant. Service was outstanding, and I'm still thinking about my meal from last night. I do recommend you get there before 5:30 PM or make a reservation, the tables fill up quickly.

We had fantastic Italian Food and really great cocktails. I can't wait to go back and try other items.

We didn’t realize this was such a nice/ fancy restaurant when we decided to come here. We were coming from the 🏝 beach with our teenager and newborn…this place was very fancy inside. Dim lighting, tablecloth ( I think), very attentive waitstaff. It was way too nice for me to just stand around rocking my 12 week old son. Which sucked for me but not the restaurants fault. It was a weekend and very crowded. Food was pretty good. Reasonably priced. Elderly drunk man wandering parking lot trying to find his 🚗 car…

Food was amazing. Service was amazing. Drinks were amazing. Dessert was amazing. Highly recommend!

My wife and I went to this restaurant this evening for the first time. Our experience was fabulous! The Wedding Soup was divine. The lasagna was absolutely scrumptious. The Tiramisu was the best ever. Carrie, our waitress, was friendly, polite and very professional. Carmelo, the owner, asked us about our experience, and we told him that everything was just wonderful. Carmelo informed us that his wife made the Tiramisu and that his son made the lasagna. Everything was homemade and delicious. We will definitely visit this restaurant again soon. Very highly recommended Italian Restaurant!!!

Wow is all I can say! We were greeted and seated by the owner who was very professional and welcoming. We had immediate service at the table by our server. We ordered Chicken Marsala, Pasta Bolognese, and Steak Maglio. All were served promptly at our table fresh and hot. Each dinner is served with a warm delicious dinner roll and fresh butter. Our meals were balanced and perfectly prepared and seasoned. Don't miss out on enjoying a wonderful meal at Messinas while visiting Saukville.

Outstanding food and service. I highly recommend the veal piccata or veal parmesan.

Messina's is always fresh, flavorful and authentic. The service is always friendly and it's such a great, comfortable atmosphere.

Never ate there, always delivery. I'm willing to put my money across the board here. Delivery drivers are always awesome, food is on point. No complaints.

Just the best experience! We hosted a rehearsal dinner at Messina's and the complete evening was beautiful. The personal service from the owner was a special touch. The staff was very attentive, quick, and thoughtful, knowing what we needed before we needed it! The food was perfect, over 25 dinners coming out very quickly and together for the most part. Thank you so much for a great night!

We sat in the bar last night and enjoyed ourselves. Not our first time here and definitely won’t be our last. The mussels were perfect. Our waitress and bartender were fun too. Thanks for squeezing us in at the end of dinner :)

We have been to Messina several times in the past few years, and always are greeted pleasantly, and enjoy the charming hand-painted murals on the walls. It is the wonderful food and service bringing us back every time. There's quaint Italian music, or a mix of Jazz and Sinatra piped into the lounge. A small but nice wine offering is a plus.

Whether we have steak, pasta or seafood, we are always impressed. A favorite is their marsala. Salads are crisp, fresh pepper is applied tableside. Entrees are beautifully presented, and breads are wonderful, served warm with butter. My favorite is the desserts - I never leave without having tiramisu, and Messina's is wonderful... Even on Saturday nights, without a reservation in a snowstorm, or in July at the height of the dinner hour on a weekend this place shines - in every way. Food, Service, and Atmosphere.

There is an exceptional wine list which we occasionally enjoy, too. I love this place and have always hesitated putting out such a wonderful review, because I don't want to find the place so busy as to not be able to give me the great service that we have always enjoyed! (Did I mention the coffee? Also rich and wonderful.) Enjoy it. Messina is fantastic!

Great place to eat Italian cuisine. Great customer service and quality of the food were totally delicious. Reminds me of the time that I spent in Naples, Italy. Wide selection of Italian dishes.

I am never disappointed when I eat here. I always get the angel hair with meatballs, Italian wedding soup and a side salad with their homemade Parmesan peppercorn dressing. My wife loves the Lasagna and the cannolis which are right from Peter Sciortinos bakery in Milwaukee. Recently tried the Lobster bites and they were great! I’m always looking forward to an evening at Messinas.

One of the best dinners I've ever had and service was amazing!

This place is always excellent. Everything we have tried has been delicious, including pizza, eggplant parm, hamburgers, and my favorite gnocchi with red sauce.

Great place, I have been here a few times now and each time had a great meal.
Chicken Marsala and Chicken Parmesan are both great which I have had.
The others in my party commented they had great pasta dishes.
Bit on the expensive side so bring your wallet but you will have a nice time and a nice meal.

Excellent food, attentive service, and nice atmosphere, as usual at Messina's. Love their Italian wedding soup, always served hot (pet peeve of mine is soup served lukewarm). Great eggplant appetizer. Had fettuccini alfredo with chicken and mushrooms - excellent.

Went here last on June 4 for our anniversary- first time out since the lockdown. It was so special to eat out again, drive a ways, and dress up. Messina's made it all that much better. A great dining experience!
