This store is great! Whether you're a local or a tourist, if you like science"y" things, curiosities, gadgets, do-dads, gizmos, both practical and impractical, this is the place to visit! I love the all the handmade product/price cards for the items; fun & funny!

This place is fantastic and you can find almost any little trinket or part you need for any kind of electronic. It’s really a one in 1 million kind of store. You have to go in there to see it for yourself BeN in Milwaukee all my life and it’s been here ever since I can remember it’s worth the stop if you are in the area highly recommended.

So it's great to hang out on AS&S's website and even better to pore over their print catalog, but nothing can top an in-person trek to their Milwaukee location. (Sure, the Chicago store may have come first, but as a kid growing up on the stretch of pavement that connects the two cities I can tell you: if something exists in both Chicago and Milwaukee, it's ten times weirder in Wisconsin.) As all dedicated surpies know, if AS&S doesn't have it on their shelves -- _do you really need it?_ I'd've posted more pictures, but these are the only ones I took that didn't have starry-eyed family members slobbering all over the merchandise....

Fun variety store of all sorts of fun strange stuff. Get your kid into science and building stuff! Or get finger hands for your finger hands. Maybe a couples toilet?

This place is amazing! Rubber chickens to powerful magnets to scraps of leather and more! Friendly staff and super organized huge store with lots of descriptions for each item

I am from out of state but heard about this store on many websites. I was lucky enough to go when there was a tent sale. So many odd, but awesome things to buy. Parking is easy, prices are super affordable, staff was helpful. In the back is a section with gobs of random machine and parts. Great place to go for things you'd never expect to want!

Awesome place to visit, great friendly staff and saved 15 to 20 bucks on the toolbox I bought there instead getting it online. They have a crazy variety of stuff inside to buy. A good portion is science or loosely related to science, other stuff is discounted items like knives, steampunk stuff, halloween stuff, wood puzzles, etc. Well worth the stop and visit if your anywhere near there!

So much fun! Everything from toys you grew up with to science tools to military surplus. Love this place!

It's still the same as I remember it from my childhood. I brought my kids today and will come back for some more fun soon. The selection of stem toys is awesome. They also have a ton of other fun stuff for the aspiring scientists and tinkerers in all of us.

This place has everything you didn't know you needed until you see it on their shelves. The store is my "go to" source for the odd pieces I need to work through an unexpected problem on a project. Scientific, educational, electronic, and mechanical supplies - plus the most intriguing assortment of cleverly described surplus items - all at great prices.

Great Store. Love Going There. The stuff is so incredibly interesting. The kind of stuff that is not sold anywhere else. Truly Unique. A special store for sure. I Love going there for gifts. 🎁 People Love the gifts they get from there because they've never even seen them before. Not on the internet, not anywhere. It's fantastic. Wandered the isles after a nice walk with the family...of course we found items that we could use and didn't know we could use. Love this place

Whether you love science or you have time to kill. This place is a treasure. You will not be disappointed. Stop in here alone or with kids, you WILL find something you want.
A huge selection of kits, project supplies, chemistry glass, salvaged electronics. Also a lot of loose odds and ends, which make this place unique. What a great idea!

Once upon a time, you were able to buy electronic components at radioshack "in-store". Not anymore with their switch to reduced inventory. If your in a bind, needing a capacitor, switch, battery pack. Make a stop here rather then waiting 3-4 days for it to ship to you from online.

CONS: It is a supply and demand game. Though the prices here are reasonably, you will pay more then if you ordered in advance from Amazon/Ebay. Also the store could use more organisation and selection. But this is only in the way of "some is good, more is better".
