Highland House

Highland house is great! Staff are very friendly and provide great service. Food arrives very quickly and is good. They have good cocktails and mock-tails too. Both dining in and ordering to go have been good experiences. I live in Mequon, so we get food from here pretty often. They’re also very kind on birthdays. I am including some photos from just a few visits. Highly recommend

The highland house is always wonderful. Really love the fajitas but their sandwiches and burgers are great as well. And their tortilla soup is the best!!

I have been regularly visiting Highland House for over twenty years, and it has never let me down. The menu is varied, although I always recommend the fajitas and the drinks are phenomenal. Service is always top-notch, and make sure to visit on your birthday for a special surprise!

Super chill,had the pork tacos. They were delicious and nicely stuffed! Will be stopping to try some more of the foods.

I had a reservation and we were quick to get seated and started with appetizers and drinks. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out fairly quick and tasted good (I liked my fiancés better). They played 2000’s pop music while we were there and it brought a great atmosphere.

Was treated to dinner at the Highland House and I was very glad I was! The building is nice, has a pleasant little Mexican aesthetic and is very clean and spacious. The service was great to, no complaints there. Food was incredibly great and served great portions! I got a plate of some of the BEST wings I've had in Wisconsin and a scrumptious big ol burrito! No complaints, I highly recommend the Highland House and would be happy to come back sometime!

The Mexican food here is fabulous and our waitress was extremely pleasant and very friendly. We were a party of six and placed our orders which was put on one tab. As we were have a time figuring each ones share of the bill she helped us by giving each of us our own bills.
When we asked for suggestions she told what was great, good and a pass. Everyone of us enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

I don’t give to many reviews but I had to this time. Every time I go the experience just keeps getting better. Food is great! The sevice is top notch. Great establishment and highly recommend!

Undoubtedly one of the best classic margarita I have had. Food was really good to. I had a steak Taco salad. I was allowed to substitute steak for an extra charge. Got a to go of chimichanga.

There's a reason the Highland House has been around for decades! The food is great, the drinks are tasty, the service is always so friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The nearby college campus likely contributes to the youthful vibe. It can get a bit loud at times but that's just everyone having a good time!
Plus, you get a free margarita on your birthday!

We stopped at Highland House after a day of shopping. It waa a 20-25 minute wait. Our waitress was excellent. The food and beverages were excellent. Try their mocktail with Ginger Beer.

First time visitor and thought the whole experience was perfect. Large portions of terrific food, wonderful staff, comfortable setting. Definitely the place to go if you have a hearty appetite or have a refrigerator!

We hosted a wedding reception in the banquet hall. A beautiful cozy room. Melanie, Adam, Carson and AJ were spot on with the service. All the other staff who were behind the scene were also much appreciated.
They helped with making this a joyful and fun atmosphere.
Would highly recommend this venue.

We were on a day drive out and about when we decided on "Mexican" for lunch.
I felt like I was on vaction the moment we walked in. It was a nice day and we opted for patio seating, a must if you can. Also this place is huge! So if the bar isn't your scene (it could get loud, alcohol makes people loud, lol) there are plenty of seats to make you feel like you are some place else.
The guacamole app was more than 2 can eat! The food was fresh and plentiful. The moctails were well thought out and delicious too.

I always get the BBQ chicken salad. Its so good, i could eat it everyday! Chips and salsa are always delicious to. My other half always gets the Ahi ahi tuna entree blackened, it always comes out hot and cooked to perfection with rice and veggies.

The staff was friendly, portion sizes were large. I had the Fiesta Bowl and it was quite tasty. We will definitely eat there again.

Easy to love the HH. Food is predictablly good and the bar is friendly. If you have a large group it's a good place where you won't feel cramped. Smoked wings are my fav.

We sat for 30 minutes before being spoken to and the young lady working behind the bar (Eva) ended up coming out and taking care of us. Food came out quick and was very good. Eva was fantastic and because of her we will be back!!!

I drove by the restaurant several times when I was working at St Mary's Ozaukee. Colleague said it was good. I think that was not quite correct. It was GREAT!

Coleslaw was a surprise with a few raisins mixed in which really added to overall taste. I do not like sweet and this was just perfect.

I was fortunate enough to stop on a Friday evening and had the Lake Perch fish fry. It is was absolutely delicious and fresh

Two small suggestions, more of a personal preference: I like my food pipping hot and have malt vinegar available.
