This is a wonderful walking, running, and cycling trail for all outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Even on a rainy day, the trail was a lovely place to take our dogs for a walk.

We had a nice evening hike at the upper macatawa natural area! Lots of wildflowers and wildlife. The meadow part is the land of frogs and crickets! The park is well used but not overcrowded. My husband also loves mountain biking here!

Clean, well kept trails, just bring bug spray for mosquitos due to the natural wetland/marshy areas.
Haven't biked it but the other bikers seemed happy and content.
The plants and informative sign at the lookout is a fun draw for anyone interested in the outdoors and nature.

This is my favorite park to hike in Ottawa County. The trails vary from wetlands to deep in the woods. There's lots of wild flowers and wildlife, so there is no shortage of pictures to take.

Be careful if you're going in the early spring or after a big storm. The wetlands do indeed get very wet and become intraversable.

I love coming here for a great walk, hike or run. Bring the kids along, lots of things to discover and enjoy. Mountain biking is available here but check the Facebook page first under Upper Macatawa Park before leaving home to make sure that they're open. Clay based so if there is much water it just might be closed. But trail difficulties barrier l vary here so be aware of where you are and ride within your abilities. Trail direction is posted along with rules at the park. Parents please monitor which trail your kids are riding on, so areas are very technical and are not meant for beginners. Additionally, even if the mountain bike trails are closed to riders, hikers are allowed but it isn't advised to home the trails when they're open.

Great mountain bike trails and beautiful scenery. Nice wide, long paved trails for walking and natural trails along the river, too.

I love mountain biking here even though it is hard. Could be dangerous for someone with little experience.
The hiking trails are nice too but are often underwater.
The paved trail that goes through is nice too

I did the mountain bike trail

It wants to be gritty and technical and flowy and it’s never 100% just one of those and I think it does that in a really fun way

A beautiful walk or hike. This park also has a lot of nice mountain biking trails as well. You can also easily ride into Holland too.

Love this place! There's a pretty decent mountain bike trail though I've only ridden it once. The walking trails and paved areas are really well taken care of and the views of the wetlands are fun. There are some nice hills and bridges and a good mix of grassland, wetland, and forest.

It's great for families, individuals, kids, groups, etc.

My family is a big fan of this place!

A really great walking/running/biking park. It's beautiful, and there are a variety of paths for different levels of difficulty. It's really great to have so many paved areas for those who need to walk on flat surfaces. We love it here.

Different compared to the other local trails in that it's more fields than woods... depending on where you walk at least. There's a local pig farm nearby so it stinks, but it's still a great place to hike.

Be sure to bring big spray! Probably best to run or bike, rather than walk here, due to the bugs. Though we went right after it rained, so that didn't help.

We enjoyed our mountain bike ride! Pretty trail, although you hear some freeway noise throughout the ride. Trail conditions were fine, but the trail was full of roots. If your not careful on some of the bridges, you could fall 2-4 feet, so just be aware. This area was very well maintained.

The paths are great. The bugs are bad. Take a bath in DEET before you go.
