From the moment the staff from Santeiu Funeral Home arrived at my sister's home we knew we were in caring hands. The compassion and professionalism of everyone we interacted with was beyond our expectations. I want to especially mention Brian who was at the house and handled the final details and the service. Jacqueline who took care of the initial arrangement conference. Karen at the front desk who answered every question. The attention to the smallest details were expertly handled. Thank you on behalf of the family of Gail Bell.

During the most difficult time of our lives losing our son, this funeral home was very comforting. Brian and the team there had nothing but the utmost compassion and caring ways. They had been very accommodating in many ways for us. The funeral home itself and the lounge away from the viewing room was a good place to step away for a moment. I recommend this funeral home if you are looking in the area.

I cannot recommend Santeiu Funeral Home enough. Our funeral director was Brian and without him we would have been lost. He is an exceptional employee and we’re grateful for him during this last week. At such a difficult time of processing the passing of a loved one and planning funeral arrangements they made the entire process less stressful. Highly recommend!

Hard hard times!!! Excellence. Some would say I'm OCD. Some would say my expectations are too high. But all would say I'm compassionate and fair. John III is a man of honor. This place is in the heart of your family and does not sell you corporate clatter. Inside is a museum. The art displayed is enough alone to help you feel your loved one is home. I don't wish for anyone to go but if you must say goodbye to someone, they will be cared for with love. Thank you John III and family.

For many years, my Mom had an advertisement taped on the refrigerator for John N. Santeiu and Son Funeral Home. She had written in parentheses (Romanian). Last year, my Mom and I went to visit Santeiu, as my Mom was elderly and declining, and I begged her not to leave all those decisions up to me at the last minute.

We were so very lucky to meet with Anne Santeiu-Ellis. She was caring and kind, and not at all pushy. Even though we were discussing the planning for, and purchasing of, end-of-life items and services, Anne has a soothing, calming voice and manner that helps you stay calm instead of becoming sad and hysterical.

We picked out Mom’s casket and vault, which made me feel better, because now I knew that my Mom was going to be buried in the casket of her own choosing. And her headstone would say exactly what she wanted. Anne called Acacia cemetery and let us know what their procedures and costs would be.

Considering that no one wants to think of death and dying and funerals, Anne walked us through it in a compassionate way that made us feel relieved in making our choices in advance.

Bless my Mom for having chosen in advance the outfit she wanted to be buried in. My Mom died on June 16, 2023. Brandy Carter assured us that she would treat my Mom with the utmost in respect and dignity. She washed and styled my Mom’s hair as my sister had asked, and also painted Mom’s fingernails red to match her outfit. They did indeed, dress my Mom in everything exactly as asked. This helped us to feel considerably relieved. John Ellis, III, let my sister and I spend time with my Mom before leaving for the cemetery. He was gracious and compassionate, which also helped with our grief.

Everyone we met at Santeiu was kind and caring. I am so happy that everything went smoothly, with no arguing or hard feelings. Life itself seems like nonstop arguing over everything, and most people encountered nowadays don’t seem to care about anyone except themselves. We so appreciated that Santeiu treated us so thoughtfully, caringly, and compassionately. They understood that my Mom was deeply loved, that she had existed, and that her life had mattered. They definitely helped make a sad situation more bearable.

Also, there is a photo attached. I was trying to come up with the proper casket spray. My Mom had silk flowers all around the house, and I thought it would be lovely if we could use her silk flowers in the casket spray. My sister found A Budding Florist, only 2 blocks away from Santeiu, and Sal agreed to work with our silk flowers. The arrangement he created was absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t have been happier. We feel happy that her silk flowers were also able to be buried with her. In my interactions with John and the staff, they have always, always been kind, sincere, and willing to accommodate family needs. Sincerely, thank you for providing some of the best customer service for families and outside agencies and for honoring those who have passed.

The worst time of my life and I'm thankful for the kind people like Brandy! She helped myself and my son have a beautiful funeral for my husband. She allowed us our own personal time with him even if some family members didn't feel we deserved it. I will be forever grateful for Brandy and the full Santeiu group. Thank you again.

Death is hard enough to deal with but Jacqueline and John made the process smooth and were so compassionate and helpful. I was emailing Jacqueline several times a day with questions and she responded quickly and professionally. John was always ready for me when I had questions at the viewing. He never got upset when I wanted something changed or moved. I just wanted everything perfect so my dad didn’t have to worry about a thing. They made my step mom look beautiful!! ❤❤
NOTE: Not as up to date technologically speaking as I’ve seen some other funeral homes but none of that mattered. I’ll take old fashioned if it means compassionate and helpful staff.

This was a difficult time for our family. John Santeiu III and his staff were very helpful. They were kind and thoughtful to our entire family and guests. Their guidance with the planning process was extremely professional and eased our minds during this unfortunate circumstance. Even with experiencing a complete loss of power, they were able to conduct the visitation and scripture service to where the power outage was undetected. I highly recommend John N. I would give the funeral home more stars if I could. The staff was courteous and helpful, especially Brian. He was kind and thoughtful the whole time. The staff at Santeiu & Son are the most heartfelt, compassionate and caring people. They are very empathetic to what you are going through and will accommodate anything that you need. They are there to help every step of the way in the arrangement process. They are honest and truly care about everyone who walks through their doors. I can’t say enough how great this family is.

This is the only place i can honestly say i hate going to but have nothing but good things to say about. I've had too many loved ones put to rest there. Truth is they have an amazing staff that is very friendly and helpful. They do so much to make a very difficult event as easy and comfortable as possible. It's a nice looking place that is very well kept. I feel bad I can't recall the funeral directors name but he was a very nice young man, he knew his job well and performed it very well with great consideration and professionalism. It really is a great place to say good bye..

The entire process of my mom's funeral was made so much easier by John Santeiu III. The attention to detail, the support throughout the entire service was phenomenal. I highly recommend them for anybody who has lost a loved one and needs the services of a funeral home.

The staff is awesome! Chris was the first one we talked to, he helped us with setting up the arrangements, casket, church, and cemetery for my mother in law. Sue guided us through the viewing Friday night and the whole day Saturday, from the funeral home to the church, and then to the cemetery. There was also another lady working Friday night, I dont recall her name, but she also helped us tremendously, making sure we were okay and ensuring us that our mom would be okay overnight

We have utilized this funeral home over the years and always have such patient, kind, knowledgeable assistance from every member of the staff. They are wonderful people and so very helpful at such a difficult time.

The director was extremely helpful and made the whole process easier. The funeral home is nicely decorated and clean. All the staff are very helpful and nice.
