Hertz Car Rental - Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport

Needed a car for 25 hours after the flight was cancelled at 8pm .Contacted Hertz and, after pick up by them, checked in at the offside Hertz office. Simple process by efficient staff and great price for the time required. The whole process took less than 30 minute's as did the return of the car. Highly recommend 👌

Staff was thorough and accommodating. We were shown the lot and told which rows & numbers we could choose from. No escort to lot @ but exit was smooth and car was clean, comfortable and met our need.

Easy check in and shuttle to the terminal. Drop off was quick and easy. We had an early flight and they had shuttles operating. We were there at 4:30am. The shuttle drivers were very nice and started our day off right!

Good fast service. Don't like when dropping off the car you just leave it and walk away. I realize that's for the convenience but I like the old inspect the car w/me and everybody sign off. Anyhow, no issues great value. Will use again.

Lots of choices of rental cars for President Circle Gold Members. Cars are sanitized well considering hygiene.

The front desk person was fantastic. She helped us upgrade the vehicle to a large 6 passenger Yukon Denali. We had lots of room.

Pre-trip reservation was easy. Used AAA for discount. Reservations confirmed by email. Called to verify night before travel just to be sure. Shuttle from airport was quick and easy. Only 4 people in line before me. Three people at the desk made check-in fast. Being a busy weekend, the car class that I selected was overbooked. Hertz upgraded me at no extra charge. I was given the option of 5 different vehicles. The only concern I had was the mileage of the vehicle at check-out (at the gate) was over 5000 less than the odometer. I called to notify them. I was told that it was not a problem since the actual mileage was recorded and logged when the vehicle was last returned. This is another reason why it is always a good idea to take photos at pick-up and drop off. After 5 days with the vehicle, I took it back to Hertz. I was greeted by an agent who receives returns. She too assured me not to worry about the mileage difference. A quick check of the vehicle and I was directed to the waiting spot for the shuttle back to the airport. I rented a car late a few nights ago! I didn't have a reservation and was pleasantly grateful for the experience I had! Tamika was wonderful and helpful. Top 10% of the Hertz locations I’ve been to. The President Circle lot options were not great, but the great service/staff made up for it. Cars were clean enough.
Bus drivers made my day!

We rented an economy car from Dollar. When I went to the counter to make a deposit, I told the employee behind the counter that I did not want insurance or to prepay for the gas. She was quite welcoming and friendly and understood my request. Another employee brought the car to the front door and had it running for us as it was quite cold that morning. I was quite surprised to find that the car they brought us was electric. It was my first experience driving an electric car and I was quite pleased. Not having to fill up a car when you return it to the airport is very convenient and I appreciated Not having to do so especially when it was so cold. Kudos to the employee at Dollar for giving us an electric car. When we reserved and economy car. It was a learning experience that we quite enjoyed. 😀

I was in Michigan for work and needed a rental at first my reservation was with enterprise but somehow I am on their do not rent list and since it was the weekend in the morning I could not get a car so I walked across the street to hertz and so glad I did the prices were better the customer service was better and they upgraded me to a suv at no addition charge
