Sesame chicken was also good.

If you like spicy make sure you ask extra spicy for the spicy dishes.

Food here is pretty good. Never had a disappointing experience yet from this place. Last time here I had their fried meat wontons. The flavor was good, but the wontons were a little more done to my liking. I also had the beef lo mein. Best beef lo mein I have had in a long time. The sauce was very flavorful and the beef was extremely tender. A must try!

Hopes has the tastiest Chinese food this side of Hong Kong.
Their beef chow mein, egg foo young, and sesame chicken is outstanding.

A tiny hidden gem, often over looked when traveling down Central Ave. Fresh and delicious foods! We had cream cheese puffs, egg rolls, beef noodles, chicken chow-mein, sweet & sour pork and fried rice. All of it was delicious with more meat than breading. Well worth our money and looking forward to going back to try the buffet. Thank you for dinner!

Yummy, pretty standard and classic dishes. Has been the same for years but it's a good deal and my family likes to waste time here. Have made my own fun pairings and ideas with the food. My little secret is using the banana with strawberry syrup sauce to accompany my ice cream for dessert 😉 nothin amazing baby but that's how I like it sometimes

We come to this buffet when on this end of town. Not a large buffet. Good food though. I mainly enjoy because there is chow mein. It's the traditional Minnesota type with lots of celery, but it's meaty too. I usually enjoy more veggies than just celery but this is still tasty. They also have the buffet standards to make most people happy. The servers are attentive and pleasant. Quick to pick up your spent plates. They earn their tip!

Good, hot food at below reasonable prices. Average variety of food, nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.
I hadn't been there in about a year and went back in Feb. 2022. No buffet any more?! Bummer. We ordered off the menu and it was still plenty of food though, and the price was very fair.

Good food at s very reasonable price. I’ve been coming here for years and I’m never disappointed. They have the normal selection of Chinese take out, and also sit down dining to order off the menu. No buffet yet. They are very careful about COVID safety. Outstanding value for the money.

Always excellent chow mein. I like the celery, meat and bamboo shoots. The beef and onion is exceptional!
I am hoping they eventually reopen the buffet. Hibachi Grill and Mandarin
do not offer chow mein on their buffets.

My family and I have been coming here for about....10+ years, so it has a very nostalgic taste and feel. The food may not be the best but the staff is very friendly, and it's a buffet. The choices dont change much but I would usually come here for the fried rice. This is by far one of my favorite places to eat out.

They have the very best fried rice I've had anywhere. I'm picky, and I've looked around a LOT. I have friends from China and I've eaten at some great authentic Chinese restaurants in the Twin Cities. (Little Szechuan). This is American Chinese, which I also think is good. In fact, it's why I'm taking the time to go out of my way and give this review. It's the best fried rice I've been able to find in the Twin Cities or suburbs. Their cream cheese wantons are also quite good...8/10. Their orange chicken, sesame chicken...also the best I've had anywhere. I have gone to this place quite frequently now for 10 years. The service is always good. Very happy with this restaurant, and I consider myself very fortunate that I live reasonably close to it.

This place is always steady and reliable for good food and service, its a buffet. The price is reasonable and they do not jack up their price on weekends or holidays like the competition does they get 5 stars for that. We have been eating here over 15yrs .

Been coming here since I was a kid. Very small basic buffet but it is always good! I choose this place over the big ones always because the food is consistent & delicious! I wish I lived closer, but I will drive out of my way for the craving.

This is a very cozy and comfortable Chinese restaurant. I tried it for the first time on my way home from work and found it to be a great place to unwind. The buffet has a grand variety of options. Chow mein is on the buffet which is quite good with big chunks of chicken, celery, and crispy noodles. They also have pepper steak as well as seafood and vegetarian options. Sushi is available on the buffet too. The staff here is very friendly and service was great. They never let my drink go empty, constantly checking with a smile on their face. This place has a real down home feel to it combined with a classic Chinese vibe. Highly reccomended!

We've been going here for years. Very nice family. I enjoy their egg rolls and mushrooms. Nothing fancy. Decor from another decade. However, the food is consistent.

My favorite buffet, employees always so nice, fill your drinks and remove your plates quickly regardless how busy they are, food always looks and tastes fresh. Employees always remember you, even after going just once before.

I chuckle because they play JackFM radio station instead of the typical classical music you hear in many Chinese restaurants.
