La Carreta Restaurant Bar

Chips were fresh and warm. Salsa was great. I ordered the Platillo De Barria. Took roughly 15 minutes from when I sat down to when the food showed up. Thus was about 4pm on a Saturday. The beef was incredibly tender. Overall awesome experience. Friendly waitstaff. Great food.

The food was delicious and they came in a pretty good amount. We are able to eat until we were satisfied and still had leftovers. Although the place was just small, we were able to sit outside during summer and enjoy the sun. There were not that many seats and they have the parking lot as the view, but it’s okay. The mango drink was excellent too, worth trying! Great place to come with great friends to enjoy some great food and support local business.

Wonderful and authentic. My partner who was homesick had the best time here. I ate pastor quesadillas (which were to die for), and my partner got the Burrito Mexicano (which was decorated with a Mexican flag sauce design). We will be returning weekly. This is THE first good mexican place I've found in the stillwater area.

La Carreta is a Stillwater hidden gem as far as authentic Mexican food goes. Not only is the location clean and easily accessible, the food is absolutely delicious. I have had the chimichanga and tacos here and was very impressed with both. You can place a to go order or sit down in a traditional restaurant style dining with a bar available. The steak tacos I had last visit were very delicious. Overall I would highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican food if you are in the area. You will not be dissatisfied!

They’ve had some growing bumps from their expansion but they’re back on track and every time we order in or take out the food is super fresh and excellent. Very authentic. I’m a fan of their chorizo and al pastor street tacos. Muy bueno!

Real authentic Mexican forward by far. I recommend this place for those who truly love Authentic Mexican food. Not only the food was phenomenal the staff was impeccable. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and kept coming back to see if we needed anything.

I recently moved to Stillwater and this has quickly become my go-to Mexican restaurant. I relocated from the west coast, so I was nervous that the Mexican food wouldn’t be able to compete… I looooovvvvveee this place. Delicious micheladas! I also love the tamales & birria tacos. Delicious food, friendly servers, quick service.

La Carreta, which means The Road, was an amazing experience for my wife and me. They brought us chips and salsa right away and let me tell you, the Salsa was superb. I could have eaten that and been happy. After looking through the menu we decided on a Family Platter which came with a quesadilla, street tacos, rolled tacos, rice, and beans. This was definitely the way to go for us because we wanted to try as many options as possible. You are able to choose from 8 different meats for each option. This meal was so so so good. I highly recommend La Carreta. While we were there there was a couple that even stated they drove 45 minutes just to eat here because it was so good.

Birria tacos, barbacoa, carnitas, tamales, with a Victoria beer. Surprisingly good and authentic, not far from the real deal. Hidden gem!!

The food was awesome The young lady who was served never stopped and was very friendly..She did a great job with our group of 5 after a group of 7.

Been here a couple times and foods always delicious, shrimp tacos , chicken fajitas and quesadillas all 5 stars!!now they also have Cervezas to wash down Bueno food! Also they press there own tortillas.

This place has great, authentic Mexican food. I had the enchiladas with salsa verde. Can’t wait to try out some other dishes!

This place is more than amazing. The cook has a passion for this and you can taste it in the food!
I ordered 4 tacos. 2 lengua, 1 chorizo, and 1 pastor, every single meat selection was cooked to perfection! I love to try these meats at MANY different locations and this cook made it the best by a LONG SHOT! The margaritas were 2 for 1 and made to perfection! Not too much mix or too much alcohol. They care about what they do, I promise you this! If I lived in Stillwater, you would find me as a regular customer 💓 thank you all so much for caring about what you do!

The menu variety is hugeeee..and drinks..good atmosphere very kind people.food was authentic.

This place is simply amazing! The best authentic Mexican food in the area. I’ve had literally everything on their menu and it’s all really, REALLY good. If I was forced to pick a favorite it would be the street tacos because they come with a variety of homemade hot sauces. I am so excited they are expanding their restaurant to include a bar with more dining space. My family and I have been frequenting this establishment for take-out for a few years, and we have never had a bad experience.

They also do take-out/delivery orders for the Lift Bridge Brewery!!!

This is the best Mexican restaurant! The we had the burrito and enchiladas. Perfect! The hot sauce was not served in a bottle you have to add it to the mild sauce. We were fortunate to have a Joana as our server! She is so much fun. Awesome experience. Thank you. So many restaurants use the excuse they are short staffed…. Great work ethic. 😎
