Rye Harbor Lobster Pound

I looked this place up online. We went there to try the fluffy clam chowder. It was not a disappointment. It was different and delicious. The lobster meat was very generous a small size was nine dollars. the large size was 18 you can go there just for the clam chowder and it would be worth the trip. We also bought two lobster rolls. I had the one with all the butter, it tasted like I was eating a lobster pie, different but delicious. We also had the one with mayo and it had a little bit of sliced celery, that also was perfect. The only thing I did not care for is the fact that you have to pay five dollars to park your car in the parking lot next-door . We have a handicap placard, so it was free. They do offer two free passes for customers, but they were being used at the time. The owners and staff were very friendly I would highly recommend. They have a dog Lillie that hangs around who was extremely friendly.

20/10 lobster roll and bisque, huge portion, creamy, buttery and delicious! Often run out of lobster mac and bisque so get there early.

A small shop that is run by a cute elderly couple, the husband chops all the lobster and the wife prepares all the orders. This is a small operation with BIG flavor.

If you see a lot of people waiting outside, be prepared to wait a good hour+ if you’re getting a roll. It is totally WORTH THE WAIT for a hot roll with extra butter (you don’t really need the extra butter). I’ve never had anything like it. Best lobster roll in New England.

We had the lobster bisque and the fluffy chowder. They are very similar the only difference is that one has sherry and the other doesn't but we don't know which was which. The chowders are filled with lobster meat, both.are excellent. We also had the sherry butter lobster rolls. The rolls are second only to Eventides brown butter rolls. The only downside is the harbor itself, it's not very attractive as harbors go.

Tried the Chunky Lobster Bisque and Fluffy Chowder. They both contained a great amount of lobster. The Fluffy chowder seemed like a airy but creamy chowder with lobster, very good! The Lobster bisque was flavorful, smooth, and creamy! Lily, the golden retriever was such a cute dog who enjoyed belly rubs!

The food was beyond words!!! Location was so authentic, and the people working made you feel like family. I went in some drizzly conditions and there was no one else there so no wait at all, but it is all outdoor seating so keep that in mind with weather. Rain or shine, I cannot recommend enough!! So so delicious.

Forget the restaurant! One of the best lobster roll & lobster bisque in NH. My personal preference - hot lobster roll: it was succulent, fresh & it's restaurant quality. The lobster bisque has the same tasty richness & quality as the roll. I could not resist but ordered an additional lobster bisque cup for my evening. Out of the microwave, it turned out as fresh as a freshly cooked bisque. The quality, richness & taste is worth a Michelin star ⭐! It was worth the effort to travel for 😄.

My favorite Seafood place in New Hampshire! I find myself daydreaming about my meals all year long… My work sends me to the Granite State Whale watch (also amazingplace) once a year, that’s how I found this sweet little gem. If I didn’t live 2.5 hours away I’d go every week, maybe more… everything is delicious but the Mountauk Seafood Salad steals my heart. Eaten by the edge of the water, with golden sun rays beaming on me🤤🌅🦐. Beautiful.

Our favorite lobster shack! Love the fluffy chowder and cold lobster rolls. Husband loves the hot rolls! We both love the Montauk! We enjoy sitting at a bench next to the ocean, eating our lobster rolls!! Beautiful sunsets here too. Sylvia, the owner, is always so nice! Been going here for years! Never a bad experience! We had lobster rolls and fluffy chowder and it was very good. The chowder was full of lobster meat and same with the roll. It was as good as everyone says it is.

Best lobster bisque I've ever had--so creamy and tasty, with big lobster chunk in every bite. Also had the cold lobster roll, which had more lobster in it than any roll I've had. This was good, but not AMAZING in my opinion--it needed more seasoning of some sort. The bisque was the star of the show, hands down.

Drove north from Boston to try this place and it was definitely worth the drive. Amazing service Zoe ( I believe is the owner ) and she was so bubbly and helpful. The rest of the girls there were amazing and the food price was beyond good.

The best clam fluffy chowder I have ever had!! Lobster roll cold was so fresh and delicious the only thing I would recommend is to lower the price of the lobster rolls. 29.00 is a bit steep for most people today. I believe on site they are $20.00 . Then again I enjoyed every bite.

The lobster rolls were excellent! The staff is very nice and friendly. Just a little pricey than normal. However, I will say one of the freshest lobster rolls I’ve ever had!! The chowder. Oh my goodness unbelievable!

Bisque, to die for!..and Lilly the beautiful golden!..30 min free parking spaces available if you ask parking attendant..Rye Harbor St. Park, literally around the corner, is the perfect place to enjoy this deliciousness with great views, picnic tables & expansive lawn.
