The Czar's Brewery

A rare find indeed! The owner is has a great story about how he started and how the community came together to help make his business survive during 2020. The staff were so friendly, there was no pressure about anything from anyone. We love our games and wow they have a bunch! Then the food, it was amazing!! When we were looking for places, this place didn’t show up on any results. We stumbled upon the place by walking by. In an odd way that is usually how you find the best places. I will definitely come again!

Had a blast. Great beer selections, great fun bartenders & service. The board games were really fun. I’ll be back to try the hotdogs!

Excellent small brew pub. Food and beer choices are plentiful and very good. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and hard working. Although we didn't play any of the many, many board games they offer, it is a fun place.

If you are a chili cheese dog lover….you need to get the Big Red Machine Mega Dog! The best I’ve had! Obviously the beer is fabulous too, a super friendly staff, and a nice community vibe! Highly recommended

Fantastic beers all around. The Bewildered and Flabberghasted were great, as was the Pouridge Stout. Their USB started up today and was probably one of the better bitters we've ever had. Try out their food, the dogs are awesome and the sandwiches don't disappoint. Brett and Brady were knowledgeable and friendly 👏

Czar’s Brewery in Exeter (Southern Palace) is fantastic. Pub food is great and brews outstanding. Gonna try the Northern Palace in Dover today.

A friendly staff and some tasty brews. Lots of board games for the kids inside but I like sitting out on the sidewalk. My son LOVES the Gulag dog, smothered.

Everyone here is absolutely wonderful - the owner and staff all are super friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about their guests. They foster the type of homegrown community that notices when someone's been unusually absent - and follow up on it. A rare gem in today's fast-paced, absorbent world.

Quality brews, crafted with love, and a brew list that truly has something for everyone, even the non-drinkers like me (kombucha).
Food is also always on point.

Small, friendly, inviting atmosphere. Beers all have distinct taste and creation, with some named by customers. Owner has a lot of knowledge and charm, customers are recurring and tight knit. Can’t help but enjoy and root for a small business such as Czars.

What a lovely little gem. The staff, the atmosphere and the beer are amazing. In good weather you can eat outside, and watch the sun set over the American Independence Museum. The menu is extensive, my favorite is "The Kitta" -Grilled Cheese (Cheddar & Mozz) topped with Green Apple slices and Fig Sauce...delicious every time.

Literally one of the best atmospheres I've had the pleasure of being in. Me and my fiance both had a great time sampling many beers. All of which were really good. If you like hazy ipas and a good variety of brews you will be right at home. The food was outstanding. For pub fare it was fantastic. I got the big red machine which is a 1/2 lb hot dog with chili and cheese. It was an amazing experience. The grazers on the menu are also outstanding and the prices are fair for what you are getting and the friendly and chill atmosphere. No one was trying to rush us out either which I appreciate. Thanks Czar's brewing. We will be back many times.

The bolshevik revolution is underway in Exeter. Great local brewery just opened. I enjoyed the Scoundrel, a black IPA, but can’t go wrong with any of brews. Worth a visit.

My wife and I love this place! The beer is top notch, always fresh and the cozy atmosphere is just what the doctor ordered for Friday night date night. There’s always cans and crowlers to go, and a variety of styles on the menu. The food is fantastic, and they have the BEST hot dogs on the planet! Join the Nobility Club and you’ll get your first pour free, a t-shirt, invitations to private parties, and best of all, pint pours of all beers, regardless of style. Not a bad beer in the house but If you’re lucky enough to catch their limited Russian Imperial, Sophie the Great on draft I suggest you order one...or three. 5 stars only because 10 wasn’t an option!

Quaint and convenient location in historic downtown Exeter. Beers were all very good with a variety of style. Didn’t have the food, but what others had looked appetizing. Giant hot dogs. Wow. Staff was very friendly, very welcoming and very enthusiastic about their beers. Good experience and recommended

Czars made a beer lover out of me!
I was a wine person while my husband is a beer person. Czars beer Is awesome! Each brew has its own unique flavor. I like them all, although I have my favorites. Sophie the imperial stout is among the favorites but is released periodically making us appreciate it even more. The oatmeal stout is delicious and my go to while the seasonal pumpkin is my go to right now. They have wine and other non beer options to accommodate all guests. The owners and employees are so friendly and service oriented, they have become like family! The food is delicious and has options for all palettes. More items are being added to the menu now. The atmosphere is just what we were looking for in a neighborhood brewery and have made new acquaintances and friends! During the pandemic there has always been options to accommodate all comfort levels with outside seating, curb side delivery, food and beer to go! Inside dining is safe with social distancing and cleaning. Have always felt safe.
Beer is awesome, food delicious and atmosphere comfortable- what else could you ask for?

My wife and I joined The Nobility (the Czar's mug club), as we enjoy every ale in their line. Great beer, very good food menu, excellent Ellenton soups, sandwiches, mega dogs, Mac n cheese. Yum!
